The Bitstamp Cloud Engineering team is responsible for designing, maintaining, and scaling the AWS infrastructure that powers our global crypto exchange. As part of the Robinhood family, we are aligning our systems to support global expansion while maintaining the stability and reliability our institutional customers depend on. The team partners closely with Security, Data, Product Engineering, and Platform teams to ensure our infrastructure supports secure trading, high availability, and regulatory requirements. As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will be an established individual contributor responsible for the reliability, scalability, and modernization of our AWS environment. You will manage core compute and database infrastructure while contributing to projects that align Bitstamp’s systems with Robinhood’s broader platform architecture. This role balances hands-on operational support with forward-looking automation work, reducing manual effort and improving system resilience. Your work will directly support high-volume trading systems and ensure our platform performs consistently as we scale globally!

This role is based in our Ljubljana office(s), with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you’ll do

● You manage and troubleshoot AWS services including EC2, ECS, Aurora, and DynamoDB to ensure high availability and performance.
● You contribute to infrastructure projects that align Bitstamp systems with Robinhood’s global platform architecture and shared services.
● You identify manual operational processes and implement automation using infrastructure-as-code and workflow tooling.
● You monitor database and compute capacity, adjusting configurations to support platform growth and transaction volume.
● You participate in the on-call rotation, diagnosing and resolving production issues to maintain 24/7 system stability.

What you bring

● You have 2–3+ years of hands-on experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering within AWS environments.
● You have practical experience with EC2, ECS, and database technologies such as Aurora and DynamoDB.
● You use structured troubleshooting methods and data analysis to resolve moderately complex infrastructure issues.
● You are comfortable balancing operational responsibilities with incremental automation improvements.
● You communicate technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with engineering and platform teams.

What You’ll Do: Build and Scale DevRev’s Platform

• Engage with internal customers around cloud native application and infrastructure design to ensure services are built with scalability, cost optimization and security as primary considerations
• Design and support infrastructure as code solutions using OpenTofu and other automation frameworks.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters at scale, focusing on reliability, security, and performance.
• Own cost optimization across cloud environments, implementing strategies to balance performance with efficiency.
• Contribute to the evolution of DevRev’s multi-cloud and multi-tenant strategy, ensuring compliance and scalability.
• Mentor engineers, teach best practices, and influence DevRev’s platform architecture decisions.

What You’ll Need: Strong Foundations in Cloud and Platform Engineering

• 10 years in overall technical roles with at least 5+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or DevOps roles.
• Experience in leadership or mentor roles.
• Deep knowledge of Terraform/OpenTou for managing infrastructure in a zero console environment.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production, including upgrades, scaling, and troubleshooting.
• Practical expertise with Argo CD or similar GitOps tools for continuous delivery.
• Proven track record of cost optimization in cloud-native environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, monitoring, observability, and incident management.
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (Go, Python, or similar).
• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Bonus Points If You Have: Expanding the Impact

• Experience with service mesh (Istio, Linkerd) for secure service-to-service communication.
• Background in multi-cloud operations and hybrid deployments.
• Exposure to compliance-driven environments (SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, FedRAMP).
• Contributions to open-source communities in Kubernetes, Argo CD, or Terraform.
• Familiarity with advanced cloud cost management tools and FinOps practices.

Teads is organizing a DevOps Summer School where you will learn the core principles of modern infrastructure, automation, and cloud-native development while building and deploying a production-ready system from scratch. Throughout the program, we will guide you through designing system architecture, setting up development and deployment environments, and implementing CI/CD pipelines.

You will start by creating a simple service and running it locally, then gradually evolve it by containerizing the application using Docker and orchestrating it with tools like Kubernetes. You will learn how to connect services to databases and external APIs, implement logging and monitoring, and collect meaningful metrics to ensure system reliability and performance.

A strong focus will be placed on automation and infrastructure as code. You will gain hands-on experience with tools used in the industry to provision and manage infrastructure, as well as to automate testing, integration, and deployment processes. You will also explore concepts like scalability, fault tolerance, and observability.

By the end of the summer school, you will deploy your application to a public cloud environment and understand how to maintain and operate it in a real-world setting.

The summer school will consist of engaging talks delivered by our expert engineers, each followed by hands-on workshops where you will apply your knowledge in practice. It's a great opportunity if you want to understand what it means to work in DevOps and how modern systems are built, deployed, and maintained in the industry.

The whole event will happen on site in our new offices on Dunajska cesta 5 and will be completely FREE of charge (including lunch, coffee, snacks and all activities). However, we do expect your full commitment during the one-week program – if you apply, get accepted, and don't attend, you are taking a spot from someone else who would have loved to participate!

Who will benefit most from attending the DevOps Summer School?

Eager individuals with basic programming knowledge and an interest in systems, infrastructure, and automation. Since the program is highly practical, some familiarity with software development and computing concepts is recommended. For example:

• Final-year undergraduate, master's, or PhD students in Computer Science or related fields
• Recent graduates from Computer Science or similar programs
• Professionals in software engineering or IT roles who want to transition into or deepen their knowledge of DevOps practices

How much experience do you need?

You will learn a lot about DevOps practices during the summer school, but it's helpful if you are already familiar with basic programming concepts, APIs, and how applications are structured. A good rule of thumb is: if you've ever built or worked with a simple application or have some academic or professional experience in computing, you'll be able to follow along and benefit fully.

What is the plan?

A week of insightful talks on DevOps topics such as containerization, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and automation—delivered by experienced engineers—followed by hands-on workshops where you will implement what you've learned. By the end, you will have a fully deployed application running in a cloud environment. All of this will be complemented by fun activities and great food.

Senior Technical Program Manager

We're looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to take the wheel on some of our most exciting and high-impact initiatives - spanning automation, AI, and CI/CD. You'll be the connective tissue across engineering teams, making sure the right things get built, shipped, and measured.

This isn't a role for someone who likes to stay in the background. You'll drive clarity in ambiguous situations, call out blockers before they become fires, and help teams move faster without cutting corners.

Responsibilities

Program Management & Execution

• Own end-to-end planning, tracking, and delivery of programs across automation, AI, and CI/CD domains.
• Define and maintain program roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, and success metrics.
• Run crisp, efficient rituals (standups, reviews, retrospectives) that actually move things forward.
• Proactively surface risks and drive mitigation plans before issues escalate.

CI/CD & Automation

• Partner with engineering teams to track and accelerate initiatives that improve CI/CD pipelines, release velocity, and deployment reliability.
• Champion automation-first thinking across the SDLC — from testing and build pipelines to monitoring and incident response.
• Measure and report on pipeline health, lead time, and deployment frequency.

AI Initiatives

• Manage programs introducing AI-driven tools and workflows into engineering processes.
• Track adoption and impact of AI-enabled development tools and automation frameworks.
• Coordinate cross-team integration of AI technologies into engineering platforms.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Serve as the primary point of coordination across engineering, product, SRE, and leadership stakeholders.
• Build strong working relationships across time zones and disciplines — you know how to get alignment without being the bottleneck.
• Communicate program status clearly and confidently to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Drive a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in technical program management, with a track record of delivering complex, cross-functional programs.
• Deep Jira expertise, including project configuration, custom workflows, dashboards, and advanced JQL querying, with the ability to leverage Jira data (velocity trends, cycle time, sprint burndown) to drive decisions and proactively identify risks such as scope creep.
• Proven experience driving end-to-end Agile delivery for technical programs, including facilitating sprint planning (capacity planning, backlog refinement, story estimation), daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives that translate into measurable improvements across automation, AI, and CI/CD initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to adapt messaging appropriately for different audiences, from senior executives to technical stakeholders such as staff engineers.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to bring structure and clarity to complex initiatives, maintain a high level of attention to detail, and consistently deliver outcomes within defined timelines.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience in SaaS, networking, or connected devices.
• Familiarity with agile and scaled agile frameworks.
• Background working across globally distributed teams.
• Strong grasp of CI/CD concepts, DevOps practices, and the software development lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience managing AI or data-driven initiatives (you don't need to write the models, but you need to understand the landscape).
