About the Role: 

The Sustainability and Impact Team at Planet is seeking a new Impact Engagement Manager. This role will have frontline responsibilities to work with Planet’s Impact, Commercial, and other teams, as well as external partners in areas like food security, disaster response, conservation, climate, and humanitarian action, to help us fulfill our mission to Use Space to Help Life on Earth.

The Impact Engagement Manager will ensure exceptional outcomes in every part of the lifecycle of an engagement, from conception and enablement to impact measurement. Your mission will be to become a trusted collaborator, with a strong understanding of our product suite and its application in impact-oriented use cases. You will need to establish and maintain trust with important partners and coordinate closely with many internal groups, including our Commercial, Product, Customer Success, and Marketing teams. Ideal candidates will be excited to partner with leading universities, NGOs and nonprofits, intergovernmental bodies, and companies across cultures and countries on implementing and scaling innovative technologies.

This is a full-time, remote position based in Nairobi, Kenya. It requires some travel within the region, as well as to Europe and North America.

Impact You’ll Own:

• Coordinate Impact programs and special projects while making sure they are delivered with excellence, particularly those involving Planet’s digital public goods, sponsored programs, and expanding Planet’s impact throughout Africa. 
• Demonstrate the potential of Planet products to have significant beneficial impact for potential customers, partners, and stakeholders.
• Onboard and orient new Impact partners and customers; support product provisioning with Global Customer Success and Technical Support teams.
• Build and maintain long-lasting, trusted relationships with Impact partners and customers, acting as a key point of contact.
• Communicate clearly and consistently with Impact partners and customers throughout the relationship and project lifecycle, elevating and resolving important issues when needed.
• Assist Impact partners and customers to expand their usage and adoption of our products, particularly in the areas of food security and resilient agriculture, digital inclusion, population change and migration, land tenure and management, and nature restoration and conservation.
• Work directly with internal stakeholder groups to make sure that Planet Impact projects are appropriately scoped and feasible, properly contracted, and set up for success, as well as unblock issues if and as they arise.

What You Bring:

• 4+ years of experience in customer support and engagement or a related field.
• Bachelors’ degree or equivalent.
• Good working knowledge of satellite remote sensing, GIS and geospatial products. 
• Ability to successfully communicate and coordinate with international partners and customers, and across internal teams.
• Solid problem-solving skills, proactive work style, and ability to work independently as well as with a team.
• Experience and interest in environmental stewardship, food security and livelihood improvement initiatives.
• Professional working proficiency in English, the language of the company.

About this Role

GiveDirectly’s Fundraising team is responsible for unlocking significant, sustained funding to scale direct cash transfers globally. As we scale, our fundraising systems must become increasingly rigorous, automated, and compounding. Today, many of our core fundraising metrics and analyses require manual effort; this role will help transform that reality.

We are hiring a Senior Manager, Data (Fundraising & Marketing) to serve as the primary strategic data partner to our fundraising and marketing teams. You will combine deep fundraising context with strong technical expertise to define the right questions, establish durable source-of-truth metrics, and build leveraged data products that reduce ad hoc work over time. You will function as a senior individual contributor with significant scope and autonomy.

You will directly own significant data modeling and transformation work within the data lakehouse. You will be responsible for building the curated data models that power reporting, forecasting, and decision-making. Our data infrastructure is built on AWS and Databricks, with dashboards and visualizations in Tableau. You will primarily use SQL to query data and contribute to data pipelines, and Python notebooks for deeper analysis. 

This is a full-time, globally remote position with travel 2–3 times per year for team retreats or planning sessions.

Core Responsibilities

Data Product and Metrics Ownership

• Set vision and priorities for how data supports fundraising and marketing strategy, based on a deep understanding of GiveDirectly’s fundraising model, donor lifecycle, and growth strategy, across revenue streams
• Define, standardize, and document core fundraising and marketing KPIs (e.g., retention, LTV, revenue forecasting metrics) to drive fundraising goals 
• Design and build robust data models in the warehouse that serve as the source of truth for fundraising reporting - weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually
• Establish clear, trusted source-of-truth datasets and metric logic used consistently across Fundraising, Finance, and Leadership, continually folding learnings in to update the metrics and definitions
• Identify recurring analytical needs and convert them into scalable, automated data products
• Scope and prioritize fundraising data products in partnership with Fundraising and Marketing Data stakeholders
• Partner with data engineering on upstream data quality and pipeline improvements, while owning the downstream analytical layer
• Continuously reduce ad hoc reporting by investing in durable systems that compound in value over time

Strategic Fundraising and Marketing Analytics

• Serve as the primary data partner to fundraising and marketing leadership, informing strategy across acquisition, retention, and revenue expansion
• Build and maintain revenue forecasts and donor cohort models to guide annual planning and budget allocation
• Support channel investment decisions with clear ROI frameworks, experiment design, and performance analysis
• Proactively surface decision-relevant insights, even when questions are not fully formed

Donor & Revenue Insights

• Conduct deep-dive analyses into donor cohorts, retention drivers, churn patterns, and cost per dollar raised to drive continuous improvement on fundraising performance
• Evaluate marketing and fundraising initiatives using appropriate analytical methods (including experimentation where feasible, though not all channels support large-scale testing)
• Translate complex analyses into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders that drive fundraising improvements
• Surface high-leverage opportunities to improve conversion, retention, and revenue durability

Data Infrastructure & Platform Contribution

• Collaborate with data engineers and analytics peers to improve data quality, access, and trust
• Partner with the Salesforce Lead to ensure CRM data structure and integrity support accurate reporting and scalable downstream modeling
• Contribute to the long-term roadmap for fundraising data architecture, ensuring systems are designed for scalability and compounding insight generation over time
• Contribute to improvements in GiveDirectly’s data capabilities such as adopting conversational analytics
• Maintain high standards of analytical rigor, documentation, and reproducibility

In Rwanda, hundreds of clinics have already been digitized, transforming rural facilities into next-generation health centers that are redefining care in Africa. Sand’s groundbreaking HOS integrates data and services to drive better outcomes - from maternal health to chronic disease management - already reaching more than 1 million patients. Designed for digital empowerment, the HOS equips thousands of frontline health workers with the tools and support they need to magnify their impact and strengthen community health.

The HOS is already operational across multiple countries, with plans to expand to 16 countries by the end of 2026, led by our Country Directors.

As a Solution Manager you will work closely with the Ministry of Health (MoH) and our health system clients. You will be the strategic and operational anchor for all in-country activities—from managing the intelligence center launch to driving partnerships with Ministries of Health. You’ll wear two hats: country representative and solutions champion. 

Our ideal candidate for this role is customer-obsessed, deeply curious, and adaptable in a dynamic environment. We’re looking for someone who will help define and scale our healthcare solutions as we continue to grow and expand. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

•  Own & drive the product backlog, and manage the configuration, testing, and rollout of products and solutions at rural health Facilities and Intelligence Centers & 

• Act as the HOS’s first user advocate, capturing feedback and identifying gaps in usability, workflow integration, and performance. This will involve going into the field to understand users across the spectrum; from Community Health Workers to Ministers of Health. 
• Lead user training and change management efforts—ensuring frontline health workers and supervisors can effectively adopt and use digital tools. 
• Actively troubleshoot and triage issues, working closely with the central product and engineering teams to prioritize fixes and feature improvements. 
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support data quality improvement, ensure consistent reporting, and enable value-based decision-making at all levels of the health system. 
• Contribute to product documentation, internal playbooks, and user-facing materials to ensure knowledge is codified and shared. 
• Support value use case development by linking product features with impact metrics, surfacing what’s working and where the next opportunity lies. This will require being able to quickly identify value delivery opportunities and execute on them independently and in collaboration with the rest of the team. 

REQUIREMENTS

•  5+ years of experience in health IT, EMR systems, or digital health delivery—ideally in low-resource settings. 

• Strong experience in product or implementation roles where you've supported tool deployment, end-user onboarding, or process rollout. 
• Familiarity with platforms such as DHIS2, OpenMRS, CommCare, or similar. ● Demonstrated ability to synthesize user feedback into actionable product insights. 
• Clear, empathetic facilitation and training skills—you can turn confusion into confidence. 
• Ability to work comfortably in rural or under-resourced environments and maintain tight feedback loops with distributed teams. 
• Must be based in Kenya.

Work Environment 

This is a hybrid role with significant in-person requirements. While some responsibilities can be performed remotely, the role demands regular presence on the ground to build relationships, oversee implementation, and liaise with local stakeholders. At the same time, given the high degree of virtual collaboration with colleagues and partners across multiple geographies, the successful candidate must be highly self-driven, comfortable working in small in-person teams while contributing to larger efforts virtually, and disciplined in using online collaboration tools and video conferencing to maintain constant communication.

About the role

Sand is scaling rapidly across Africa, partnering with Ministries of Health to deploy the Health Operating System (HOS) — a decision-support and execution platform that transforms how health systems sense, analyze, and act on data. The HOS is already operational across multiple countries, with plans to expand to 15 countries by end of 2026, supported by 80+ Forward Deployed Engineers.

As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE), you are the technical spearhead of our client engagement in Kenya. Unlike our roaming FDE roles, this is a permanently embedded position. You will be based full-time within the Ministry of Health in Kenya, becoming a long-term extension of the client's operational team. Your mandate is to build deep institutional relationships, develop comprehensive understanding of the national health system, and deliver sustained value over an extended engagement — not just rapid sprints, but lasting transformation.

This is not staff augmentation. You are an amalgamation of three roles:

1. The Software Engineer — Deep technical acumen to build and deploy production-grade solutions using Sand's product suite
2. The Product Manager — Strategic foresight to understand client problems, influence business objectives, and identify expansion opportunities
3. The Consultant — Client-facing finesse to navigate complex stakeholder relationships, manage scope, and transfer knowledge

Your primary mission is to prove our value fast, delivering functional solutions rapidly using Sand's products, playbooks, and tools, and then maturing those solutions into mission-critical infrastructure that the Ministry depends on daily. Over time, you become the institutional memory of the deployment — the person who understands the data landscape, the stakeholder dynamics, and the operational realities better than anyone.

For this permanently embedded role, you also need the maturity and resilience to sustain deep client relationships over months and years — not just weeks. You will become the face of Sand in Malawi, and that requires patience, cultural fluency, and the ability to navigate institutional complexity while maintaining momentum.

Serve as Sand's Permanent Technical Presence in Kenya

• Embed full-time within the Ministry of Health, becoming a trusted member of the client's extended team

• Understand client problems through prototyping and rapid value delivery — deploying POCs and MVPs using Sand's product components and playbooks
• Transition initial solutions into hardened, production-grade systems that the Ministry relies on daily
• Own the long-term health of deployed solutions — monitoring adoption, troubleshooting issues, and iterating based on user feedback
• Deliver and track value generated through deployment of Sand products

Enable Product-Led Growth

Requirements — Essential

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, data science, system deployment, or technical leadership
• Proficiency in at least one of: Python, SQL/PostgreSQL, JavaScript — with ability to write production-grade code
• Strong problem-solving skills with a bias toward action and rapid prototyping
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — comfortable presenting to senior government or corporate stakeholders and translating between technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience working with or deploying to government, public sector, or large institutional clients
• Proven ability to lead local technical teams and build capacity
• Willingness to relocate and be permanently based in Kenya for the duration of the engagement (12-24+ months)
• Language: Local language proficiency is a significant advantage

• Experience with data integration, ETL pipelines, and working with diverse data sources
• Experience in one or more of Sand's focus domains: health informatics/digital health, water utility operations, telecommunications network operations, or energy systems

Work Environment

This is a permanently embedded role. You will work on-site at the Ministry of Health in Kenya 4 days per week, with 1 day for focused remote work, internal collaboration, and knowledge sharing with the broader FDE community. You should expect to be based in Kenya for a minimum of 12-24 months.

You must be self-driven, comfortable operating as Sand's primary technical representative in-country, and disciplined with online collaboration tools to stay connected with the broader Sand team across geographies. About the Role

The Boiler Operator is responsible for the continuous operation and maintenance of boiler systems that generate steam/ hot water essential for macadamia processing. This role ensures peak operational efficiency, strict safety compliance, and minimal downtime through proactive troubleshooting and multi-disciplinary maintenance.

Responsibilities

Appointed as a food safety team member

• Participate in food safety management system (FSMS) meetings.
• Participate in food safety audits.
• Training the support staff on food safety-related attributes, such as ensuring food safety during machine repairs and maintenance.
• Ensuring proper documentation as outlined under FSMS and production operational procedures.
• Contribute towards the continuous improvement of the factory processes and systems.

Boiler, Steam & Hot Water  Management 

• System Operation: Operate and monitor boiler systems to provide a consistent supply of steam and hot water needed for drying macadamia by ensuring drying temperatures range between 38 °C and 44 °C.
• Maintenance & Repair: Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on complex steam, water, and compressed air systems.
• Optimization: Adjust system settings to maximize energy efficiency and propose continuous improvements for the boiler process. 
• Emergency Response: Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues promptly to prevent production bottlenecks.

Safety Compliance 

• Compliance: Adhere strictly to all SHEQ requirements and NITA-mandated safety standards.  
• Safety Testing: Conduct routine safety tests (e.g., pressure relief valve checks, water level controls) to ensure zero-harm operations.
• Food Safety (FSMS): As a food safety team member, ensure boiler operations, including any repairs and maintenance activities, do not compromise product quality and integrity.

Record Keeping & Reporting

• Maintain accurate logs of fuel consumption, water levels, maintenance schedules, and any repair work performed.
• Report to the Technical lead on progress, challenges, and material needs promptly.

Resource & Inventory Management

• Fuel Management: Monitor and manage fuel inventory to ensure uninterrupted boiler operations. 
• Spare Parts: Efficiently manage tools and spare parts for the boiler and auxiliary equipment, reporting procurement needs to the Technical Lead.

About the Role

This role primarily focuses on production, while also supporting warehouse and inventory management functions. It ensures that raw materials are properly received and ripened, products are processed according to customer requirements, and orders are fulfilled within established timelines.

Responsibilities

Production Operations

• Supervise day-to-day production activities to ensure adherence to the production schedule provided by the Production Coordinator.

Role Summary

The Community Manager will be responsible for leading ALX’s community activation strategy in Kenya, with a strong focus on ambassador activation, learner and alumni engagement, community-led recruitment, and impact storytelling.

Role Summary

The Entrepreneurship Development Manager will play a pivotal role in building and strengthening ALX’s entrepreneurship ecosystem in Kenya. This is a high-impact role designed for a strong operator, ecosystem builder, and founder-support leader who can drive both programme excellence and strategic market presence across multiple countries.

The role requires the ability to manage programme delivery, founder engagement, stakeholder partnerships, ecosystem visibility, and performance tracking, while contributing to the long-term growth of ALX’s entrepreneurial footprint in Kenya. This individual will report directly to the Country General Manager for day-to-day implementation and local market leadership, while maintaining a strategic reporting line to the Entrepreneurship Director to ensure consistency with ALX entrepreneurship objectives.

Specific Responsibilities

Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Development and Market Leadership

• Serve as the primary lead for entrepreneurship in Kenya, driving the development, visibility, and growth of ALX’s entrepreneurship agenda across the three markets.
• Design and execute market-relevant strategies that foster founder engagement, startup pipeline development, and entrepreneurial community building in Kenya.
• Position ALX Ventures and related entrepreneurship programmes as a leading platform for high-potential entrepreneurs, innovation, and venture growth across the three-country portfolio.
• Represent ALX in the entrepreneurship ecosystem through active engagement with founders, investors, innovation hubs, accelerators, corporates, and relevant public and private sector actors.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for ecosystem recognition, strategic partnerships, grants, and visibility platforms that strengthen ALX’s entrepreneurship brand and reach in Kenya.

Founder, Community Engagement and Experience

• Build and sustain a vibrant founder community through regular, high-value touchpoints that deepen engagement, accountability, and peer learning across all supported markets.
• Lead in-person founder engagement and ecosystem activities in Nairobi, while ensuring strong and consistent virtual support for entrepreneurs outside of Nairobi.

• Connect ventures to relevant support structures, including mentors, advisors, interns, ecosystem partners, and investors.
• Organise Demo Days, local pitch events, and showcase opportunities that increase startup visibility, strengthen founder confidence, and create opportunities for investment and growth.

Partnerships, Mentorship, and Ecosystem Collaboration

• Build and maintain strong relationships with ecosystem players, including investors, entrepreneurship support organisations, accelerators, hubs, government actors, development partners, and corporate innovation stakeholders in Kenya.
• Curate and manage a strong network of local mentors, advisors, and subject matter experts, matching them thoughtfully to founders based on stage, sector, and growth priorities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Programme Management, or a related field.
• Strong experience working directly with startups, founders, or entrepreneurial ventures, ideally in an innovation hub, accelerator, incubator, venture studio, or startup support environment.
• Demonstrated experience designing, delivering, and improving entrepreneurship programmes, founder engagement models, demo days, masterclasses, or mentorship structures.
• Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, balancing strategic priorities with high-quality operational execution across different markets.

Role Summary

The Entrepreneurship Development Analyst will support the delivery and growth of ALX’s entrepreneurship programming in Kenya with a strong focus on Founder Academy recruitment, founder engagement, event coordination, retention, and programme operations.

This is a highly execution-oriented role for someone who enjoys working directly with founders, coordinating events and experiences, driving engagement, and ensuring strong operational follow-through.

This individual will work closely with the Entrepreneurship Development Manager to strengthen founder pipeline conversion, maintain a high-quality cohort experience, improve retention and participation rates, and ensure entrepreneurship programmes are delivered with excellence and consistency across markets.

Specific Responsibilities

Founder Academy Recruitment and Pipeline Support

• Support recruitment and outreach efforts for the Founder Academy in Kenya to help achieve enrolment targets.
• Assist with lead generation, founder outreach, follow-up, screening coordination, and conversion activities across the recruitment funnel.
• Track prospective founder journeys from initial interest through application, onboarding, and enrolment to support stronger pipeline visibility and follow-through.
• Work closely with the Entrepreneurship Development Manager and relevant internal teams to ensure timely communication with prospective founders.
• Support the execution of recruitment campaigns, information sessions, outreach events, and other market activation activities that build programme awareness and attract strong candidates.

About the Role

We believe that new technology is critical to building the most effective rural distribution network on the African continent.
