Appier is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Scientist to join our Advertising Cloud Optimization team, which leads the development of core machine learning algorithms driving campaign efficiency and advertiser ROI. As a Senior Engineer II, Field Process, you play a critical role in enabling our customers’ success at the most advanced semiconductor technology nodes. • Plan, execute, oversee, and document process qualifications for new installations, conversions, and continuous improvement retrofits for PE‑CVD, PE‑ALD, ALD, CVD, and epitaxy reactors at customer sites
• Lead structured problem‑solving activities to identify root causes, develop robust solutions, and support rapid closure of tool excursion escalations during install and sustaining phases
• Act as a senior technical interface for customers, understanding current needs, identifying new opportunities, and anticipating future process requirements to build long‑term, trusted partnerships
• Develop, maintain, and standardize process recipes, experimental data, and technical documentation for use by internal teams and external stakeholders
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on customer experience, tool performance, productivity, cost reduction, and process robustness
• Provide hands‑on field engineering support when required, including assembly, disassembly, calibration, decommissioning, and troubleshooting of advanced electro‑mechanical semiconductor capital equipment
• Collaborate closely with global hardware, process, R&D, and service teams to align field feedback with product and process improvements
• Valid work authorization to work in Japan
• Master’s degree or higher in a materials‑focused STEM discipline such as materials science or engineering, physics, chemistry, electronic engineering, or nanotechnology
• Or a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with relevant professional experience in semiconductor processing or capital equipment
• Strong experience or solid technical foundation in one or more of the following: PE‑CVD, PE‑ALD, ALD, CVD, epitaxy, etch, PVD, surface preparation, photolithography, high‑temperature processing, or materials characterization
• Applied experience using data or signal processing tools such as Python, R, MATLAB, JMP, Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent
• Commitment to strong safety and quality cultures, both internally and at customer sites
• Good mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work effectively in cleanroom and office environments for extended periods, both on‑site and remotely
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work across organizations, cultures, and disciplines while managing multiple priorities
• Experience in customer‑facing roles within the semiconductor, capital equipment, or advanced manufacturing industries
• Proven ability to lead complex technical discussions with customers and internal stakeholders
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (typically 10–40%) to support customer sites across Japan, Asia, the US, and Europe
• Professional fluency in English
• Japanese language proficiency suitable for customer and on‑site collaboration is highly valued; additional languages are a plus

本ポジションの配属先では、主にゲームのダウンロード、インストール、アップデート、起動に関わる一連の機能を担当します。
扱うのは、単なるアプリケーション開発ではなく、大容量コンテンツをいかに早く・確実に・互換性を保って届けるかという、PlayStationにおけるゲームプレイ体験の中核を支える領域です。数十GB〜100GB超のゲームコンテンツを、ネットワーク帯域、ストレージ容量、実行環境、過去資産との互換性といった複数の制約の中で最適に扱うための、幅広い視点での設計力と実装力が求められます。
東京拠点だけでなく、米国拠点の開発・運用チームや関連チームと連携しながら開発を進める、グローバルな職場です。また、ゲーム開発者や外部パートナーと協働しながら、ゲームタイトルとSDK、システムソフトウェアやインフラとの依存関係を踏まえた設計・改善にも取り組みます。

■職務内容
・PlayStationシステムソフトウェアにおける、ゲーム配信・インストール・アップデートに関わるクライアントソフトウェアの設計・開発を担当します。
・ゲームタイトルとシステムソフトウェア、SDKの依存関係や、既存タイトル資産・将来タイトル双方の制約を踏まえ、長期的な互換性と運用を見据えた設計を行います。
・新規要件や機能追加に対して、ソリューション検討、基本設計、関連チームとの仕様調整・合意形成を担います。
・チームメンバーや協力会社メンバーと連携し、詳細設計、実装、単体・結合テスト、リリース後のサポートまで一貫して担当します。

・100GBを超えるゲームについても、可能な限り早くプレイ可能な状態に到達させるためのダウンロード・インストール機能を開発しています。
・言語や対象PlayStationの性能特性に応じてゲームバイナリを分割し、ユーザ操作やシステム状態に応じてダウンロード対象や順序を最適化することで、効率的な配信を実現しています。
・アップデート時には差分のみをダウンロードし、再利用可能なデータは既存インストール済みデータを活用することで、高速かつ効率的な更新を実現しています。
・あわせて、ゲームタイトルをコンソールのライフサイクル全体で、継続的に安定して動作させるため、ランタイム環境のアップデートや構成管理にも取り組みます。

About You
4+ years of experience in a high-impact, customer-facing technical role such as Forward Deployed Engineering, Technical Consulting, high touch Sales Engineering or Solutions Architecture, or technical consulting for SaaS/AI products.
Deep, demonstrable expertise in the modern AI/ML stack: LLMs, Generative AI concepts, vector databases, and agent orchestration frameworks. Proficiency in Python, Go, JS/TS plus hands‑on experience with LLM frameworks.
Unrivaled Business Acumen: The ability to simplify technical complexity and communicate clear trade-offs, value propositions, and project plans to both a core engineering team and a non-technical C-suite executive.

As a Partner Solutions Architect you will work with Databricks' Consulting and System Integrator (C&SI) partners, teammates, and with the technical and sales team members who work directly with our customers. You will develop 'technical champions' within our top C&SI Partners, providing enablement on technical matters related to the Databricks product. Working with our partners, you will help our customers to achieve tangible data-driven outcomes through the use of our Databricks Data Intelligence Platform, helping data teams complete projects and integrate our platform into their enterprise Ecosystem. As a member of our team, you will exercise and develop expertise in those areas, using open-source projects such as Apache Spark™, MLflow, and Delta Lake; and major public cloud infrastructure and services. the product. You will use this expertise to become a trusted advisor to C&SI partners. You will report to the Senior Director, APJ PS.
