At WTLV WJXX-TV, a TEGNA-owned ABC/NBC affiliate in Jacksonville, we are looking for our next Account Executive. As an Account Executive, you are responsible for achieving or exceeding the individual sales goals across all TEGNA marketing solutions from linear TV to digital, including OTT with PREMION. You will act as a lead generator by identifying and reaching clients in the Jacksonville market that will best take advantage of our solutions. You then become a marketing consultant to the clients helping them define and achieve their business objectives.
Current driver's license is required.

What You Will Do:
- Consistently prospect for new revenue opportunities using client and category insights.
- Upsell current clients by engaging them in the full product line of WTLV WJXX-TV offerings.
- Create custom solutions-driven campaigns that meet client needs across multiple media platforms including broadcast, digital, and Streaming (OTT).
- Seek opportunities to expand relationships with key clients by taking an active role in understanding their business needs and competitive landscape.
- Establish strong relationships with internal team members by providing the Account Management team with clear and concise direction for the successful execution of campaigns.
- Partner with your Account Manager to provide exceptional customer service and contract fulfillment.
- Strategically utilize Matrix and station CRM to manage day-to-day activity, pipeline, and forecasts.
- Positively and professionally represent the media group to the community at events and surrounding businesses.
What You Need:
- 1-3 years of account engagement in a professional, fast-paced media sales environment.
- Proven track record of successfully achieving or exceeding sales goals and developing new business opportunities as a seller.
- Established knowledge of marketing solutions including broadcasting and digital advertising including audio and interactive, and be a perpetual learner, eager to continuously expand your knowledge.
- Prior working experience using Microsoft Office Suite and CRM (Client Relationship Management) systems, and ability to leverage technology to project manage workload and achieve goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to proactively communicate with clients, co-workers, and vendors, and to write/edit compelling proposals.
- Possess a creative mind to put together unique campaigns focused on solving client needs with ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Proven effective problem solver with ability to quickly adapt to changing and competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Strong business acumen with attention to detail and accuracy, as well as strong organization and time management skills.

The successful candidate will guide our team of content creators in story discovery and presentation across all platforms. · Lead and communicate newsroom coverage during breaking news, ensuring accuracy, urgency and balance
· Uphold TEGNA’s journalistic standards and values across all platforms
What You’ll Bring
· Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or at least 5 years of journalism experience in a local newsroom, digital production, or related role
· Superior news judgment and the ability to make fast, sound editorial decisions under pressure
· Proven record of success handling breaking news
· Experience managing a team of journalists
· Demonstrated knowledge regarding content desk operations
· Experience helping transform and manage news-gathering systems
· Impeccable organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
· Demonstrated success as both a team leader and a team player
· Effective communication skills
