About the role

Throughput. Latency. KV cache utilization.

Move those three numbers in the right direction, and two things happen: customers get faster, cheaper inference, and our margins improve. That's the entire thesis of this role. Every kernel you tune, every quantization scheme you ship, every scheduler tweak you land shows up directly in a customer's p99 and on our P&L.
This is a high-impact seat. It is also a high-autonomy seat as you'll be given the room to lead the technical direction of inference optimization at Kimchi, not execute someone else's roadmap.

The problem: running LLMs in production is a moving target. The "right" model and serving configuration for a workload depend on traffic shape, sequence-length distribution, batch dynamics, GPU SKU, memory bandwidth, quantization tolerance, and a dozen other variables that shift week to week. Most teams pick a model once, over-provision GPUs, and absorb the cost. Kimchi is the system that makes that decision automatically - continuously matching workloads to the most cost-efficient, best-performing LLM and serving configuration on a customer's infrastructure. We're building the optimization layer between the model and the hardware, and we need engineers who understand both sides deeply.

Requirements:

• 5+ years building real ML systems, with a portfolio that shows depth in inference or training infrastructure (not just model training notebooks).
• Strong Python - production services, not scripts.
• Hands-on experience with at least one of vLLM, SGLang, or TensorRT-LLM, and a working mental model of why an inference engine performs the way it does on a given GPU.
• Fluency with quantization tradeoffs - you've measured quality regressions, not just compression ratios.
• Comfort with distributed systems: collective communication, sharding strategies, and the practical failure modes of multi-GPU and multi-node setups.
• A bias toward measurement. You instrument before you optimize, and you can tell the difference between a real win and a benchmark artifact.
• Self-direction. This role comes with a wide mandate; you should be excited by that, not unsettled by it.

Responsibilities:

• Push throughput. Continuous batching, speculative decoding, chunked prefill, kernel-level tuning across vLLM, SGLang, and TensorRT-LLM. Find the ceiling on each GPU SKU, then raise it.
• Cut latency. Attack TTFT and TPOT separately. Profile, identify the actual bottleneck (compute, memory bandwidth, scheduling, networking), and fix it - not the bottleneck you assumed.
• Get more out of the KV cache. Paged attention, prefix caching, eviction policies, cache reuse across requests, quantized KV. This is where a lot of the unrealized throughput lives, and it's an area you'll own.
• Quantize without regressing quality. INT8, INT4, FP8 across weights, activations, and KV. Empirical work: measure quality on real workloads, not just perplexity benchmarks.
• Shrink cold starts and memory footprint. Faster init, smarter weight loading, tighter memory accounting - the difference between a model that scales and one that doesn't.
• Scale across nodes. Distributed inference topologies, network-aware placement, checkpointing strategies that don't bottleneck on storage or interconnect.
• Set the technical direction. Decide what we benchmark, what we adopt, and what we build ourselves. Bring the team along with strong writeups and reproducible experiments.

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Core Data team and play a key role in transforming TheFork’s data capabilities through the implementation of a modern, self-service Data Platform (DPaaS).

In this role, you will not only build scalable, production-grade data pipelines, but also contribute to designing and evolving the platform that enables domain teams to autonomously produce and consume trusted data products.

You will apply strong software engineering principles to data engineering, help define governance standards, and actively contribute to shifting our organisation from a centralised BI model to a federated, domain-oriented data ecosystem.

Technical Leadership & Delivery

THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Sourcing Manager, Soft Home (Europe) to build and manage our vendor base across Europe for home textiles. This individual will focus primarily on bedding and secondarily on window treatments, table linens, and other soft home textiles. This is a pivotal role as we expand sourcing outside of Asia and diversify our supply chain. The ideal candidate will bring deep product knowledge, a robust vendor network, and the ability to navigate the complexities of sourcing in Europe. This is an individual contributor role reporting to Tugba Geyisi.

This person will serve as the linchpin in launching Quince’s Home Textiles business in Europe, owning both vendor management and upstream sourcing strategy across nominated mills and finished goods suppliers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Vendor Development & Management

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard high-quality, high-compliance vendor partners across Europe for HOME TEXTILES with fast production lead times.
  
  
• Drive excellence in partner operations for existing supplier relationships within current and new Quince categories, while expanding the supply base and improving Quince’s product costs, quality, and commercial terms.
  
  
• Act as an ambassador to our partners in all interactions, building and deepening our relationships.
  
  
• Pitch and onboard vendor partners quickly, with clear onboarding criteria and scalability targets.
  
  
• Drive continuous improvement by increasing hit-rate launches (reviews, returns, sales) through product excellence and faster development times.
  
  
• Negotiate commercial terms including MOQs, pricing, capacity planning, and compliance.
  
  

Upstream Material Sourcing

• Evaluate mill capabilities and work closely with internal product and quality teams to nominate optimal partners.
  
  
• Manage mill relationships and ensure smooth handoff of greige fabric to finished goods partners.
  
  

Category Ownership

• Serve as the sourcing lead for all home textiles from Europe, ensuring quality, margin, and lead time KPIs are met.
  
  
• Build scalable and diversified supply chains for each relevant product category (bedding, window, table linens).
  
  

Product Development & Speed-to-Market

• Partner with factories to drive product innovation and reduce development lead times.
  
  
• Optimize raw material and finished goods development calendars to enable rapid testing and scaling.
  
  

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with merchandising, planning, and tech design teams to ensure aligned goals and seamless execution.
  
  
• Drive continuous improvement in supplier performance and cost efficiency.
  
  

REQUIREMENTS

• 8+ years of experience in sourcing, production, or supply chain roles, ideally within bedding, linens, or similar home categories.
  
  
• Deep understanding of fabric development, materials (e.g., cotton, linen, bamboo), filling materials, and workmanship.
  
  
• Strong network of European textile manufacturers and nominated mills preferred.
  
  
• Demonstrated success in identifying and managing both mill and factory partners.
  
  
• Ability to set and execute a strategy for scaling a high-volume product line.
  
  
• Fluent in English; additional European languages a plus.
  
  
• Strong analytical skills, including comfort with margin modeling, lead time analysis, and vendor scorecards.
  
  
• Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
  
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Textiles, or related field.
  
  
• Ability to travel around Europe and Middle East, especially to vendors/factories in Turkey and Portugal
