As Scalapay continues to grow, Albert Ziko, our Customer Due Diligence Team Leader, is looking for a KYC/AML analyst intern to join their team for the next 6 months to assist with the due diligence process for our customers.
This position is based in Milan, where we expect you to be on-site at least three days a week. However, in line with our smart working policy, you will also have the option to work two days remotely each week. We like to think that we offer a work environment where you can thrive professionally while maintaining a fulfilling life balance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Verify information related to Scalapay customers to prevent illicit activities such as money laundering, terrorist financing, and financial fraud.
- Manage day-to-day activities related to the process with accuracy and timeliness, communicating with colleagues and/or the Risk/Compliance departments to avoid violations of internal regulations.
- Share useful insights and suggest potential improvements to the team.
- Analyze customer profiles flagged by our screening provider as "Potential Match" for Sanctions, adverse media, or PEP (Politically Exposed Persons).
- Review KYC information collected and approve or reject customers in case of confirmed alerts.
- Improve the customer due diligence process to ensure a seamless experience for the end customer.

As Scalapay grows, Gabriele Alessi, our Head of Operations and Giulia Rinalidi, our Merchant onboarding & Support team lead are looking for a Merchant Onboarding intern to join their team for the next 6 months and help them properly onboard our merchants.
This role is based in Milan where we’ll expect to see you at least three days per week, but as per our smart working policy, we also allow you to work two remote days per week. We like to think that we're pretty good at offering a job where you can thrive and that fits nicely into a fulfilled life.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reading, analyzing and processing the KYC documents sent by the merchants
- Reviewing KYC information collected and approve or reject the merchant if something does not fit our internal policy
- Analyzing and documenting financial issues or problems;
- Conducting day-to-day administrative tasks related to the process accurately and timely, by communicating with colleagues and/or Sales/Legal Dept to avoid any breaches to internal rules and unnecessary delays.
- Communicating useful insights and potential improvements to the team
- Onboarding customers daily in a proper way;
- Improving the onboarding process in Italy to make it a frictionless experience for the merchants.
Must have
- You are in your final year studying towards an economic degree or equivalent;
- You are fluent in Italian and English
- You're data-driven and organized, you like things to run like a machine
- You have excellent communication skills (verbal and written): you are able to break down complex topics into simple solutions and ideas
- You’re a self-starter, autonomous & proactive: we’re looking for someone who will go and get things done, not wait for instructions
- Having completed a prior internship in a regulated entity or experience as KYC analyst is a definite asset (but not compulsory!)
- Another asset would be to have previously worked in a startup/scaleup environment
- A third language (French, Spanish, Portuguese, etc.) is a real plus
- An initial chat with our Talent team
- A first interview with the Hiring Manager to deep dive into your experiences and better understand your motivation
- A short case study to test your hard skills, that will be debriefed with a panel of future internal stakeholders

Role Summary and Impact
The Buying Analyst will hold a strategic position within the team responsible for a large client.
The individual will be responsible for managing and implementing buying strategies to propose to the client, thereby overseeing monitoring, reporting, and drafting future negotiation strategies. They will work closely with the planning team and will also play an operational coordination role.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analyses of the client's media investments at all stages (present during planning, future with respect to results analysis and future strategic vision), transforming data into strategic and actionable insights.
- Effectively present results and negotiation strategies to clients and stakeholders, developing clear and impactful narratives for effective negotiation management.
- Develop and implement innovative negotiation strategies, in full alignment with the agency's objectives and the client's strategic goals.
- Present and articulate negotiation strategies, acting as an internal point of reference for collecting and disseminating the agency's buying insights, and collaborating with the strategic Activation & Buying manager.
- Proactively monitor market trends and relevant data to conceive and implement anticipatory negotiation strategies.
- Constantly review and monitor purchasing conditions and campaign results, actively proposing optimizations and improvements.
- Collaborate synergistically with internal teams (Investment, Buying, Accountability, MMDM) to ensure strategic consistency and operational effectiveness.
- Maintain constant updates on industry developments and international best practices in media negotiation and purchasing.
- Interface with the planning team constantly to monitor, guide, and coordinate operations stemming from on-air campaigns to support future analyses.
Requirements
- Proven experience of at least 7 years in the media sector, with a distinctive specialization in buying, investment analysis, and offline planning.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for complex data analysis and the creation of strategic presentations.
- High precision and attention to detail, coupled with a strong results-oriented approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and cultivate solid relationships with various types of stakeholders.
- Solid organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to effectively manage and coordinate multiple parallel projects.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
