We are looking for a Trade Operations Engineer to take ownership of our risk, middle-office, and back-office systems. This role sits at the intersection of trading, engineering, and operations, and is critical to the reliability and scalability of the firm.

You will work closely with quantitative researchers, traders, and infrastructure, building and maintaining the systems that ensure trades are correctly captured, reconciled, and monitored in real time.

The role is hands-on and end-to-end. You will be responsible for designing, building, and operating full-stack applications that support trade reconciliation, risk monitoring, and operational workflows across both AWS and bare-metal environments.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing and building full-stack applications for risk monitoring and middle/back-office workflows using Java and React
• Owning trade reconciliation pipelines, ensuring accuracy and consistency across multiple systems and venues
• Developing operational tooling and monitoring to support live trading and post-trade processes
• Working closely with infrastructure to support systems running across AWS and colocated bare-metal servers
• Troubleshooting and maintaining trading applications, primarily in Java, with some interaction with C++ components
• Investigating and resolving live production issues related to trade flow, clearing, and risk limits
• Improving system reliability, observability, and operational efficiency over time

What You Need

Finance Experience: You have prior professional experience as a software engineer within the finance industry. Experience in HFT, proprietary trading, or systematic trading environments is a strong advantage.

Technical Stack: Strong full-stack engineering experience, with Java on the back-end and React on the front-end. You are comfortable owning both application logic and user-facing components.

Domain Knowledge: You understand post-trade workflows and operational processes, including trade reconciliation, clearing, and real-time risk monitoring. You are comfortable working with trade lifecycle data and debugging inconsistencies.

Systems Environment: You are comfortable working in Linux environments and collaborating with infrastructure teams. Experience working across cloud (AWS) and bare-metal or colocated environments is beneficial.

C++ Familiarity: You do not need to build low-latency systems in C++, but you should be comfortable reading, debugging, and making targeted changes in existing C++ codebases.

Ownership & Mindset: You take ownership of systems end-to-end, from development through to production support. You are pragmatic, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced trading environment where systems must be reliable under pressure.

Overview

The responsibilities of our Platform team include building and maintaining all backend services, including, but not limited to, payments, analytics, subscriptions, new products, text to speech, and external APIs.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS API, internal APIs like Payment, Subscription, Auth and Consumption Tracking, ensuring they meet business and scalability requirements
• Oversee the full backend API landscape, enhancing and optimizing for performance and maintainability
• Collaborate on B2B solutions, focusing on customization and integration needs for enterprise clients
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with overall product strategy and user experience

An Ideal Candidate Should Have

• Proven experience in backend development: TS/Node (required)
• Direct experience with GCP and knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers
• Efficiency in ideation and implementation, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact
• Preferred: Experience with Docker and containerized deployments
• Preferred: Proficiency in deploying high availability applications on Kubernetes

The Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Lead to provide technical leadership for complex, high-impact, cross-functional projects. This role will lead a team of engineers while ensuring alignment with business objectives, maintaining technical excellence, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership: Plan, organize, and oversee engineering projects that require expert application of advanced knowledge, cutting-edge technology, and system integration.Provide strategic technical leadership ensuring alignment with business goals and guiding the team to meet deadlines and deliverables.
• System Development & Maintenance: Design, develop, deploy, and maintain large-scale, complex software systems with a focus on scalability, availability, performance, and maintainability.

Key Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in backend development, with proven experience in building and scaling large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong architectural expertise in microservices, event-driven architecture, and design patterns 
• Expertise in object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and modern software development practices.
• Expertise in .NET technologies (ASP.NET, .NET Core, etc.) with a deep understanding of the .NET ecosystem.
• Proven experience in API design, REST principles, and message queuing systems like RabbitMQ.
• Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases, including designing and optimizing data storage strategies.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), and deploying cloud-native solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Git/GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and version control best practices.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (AKS preferred).
• Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Experience in mission-critical, 24x7 environments with an emphasis on system uptime, redundancy, and incident response.
• Agile development experience, including Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
• Proven ability to lead,mentor, and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
• Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written) with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) or similar domains is a plus.
