Summary: 

Responsible for supporting the Engineering/Operations team in maintaining the structural integrity of the Vertical Bridge tower portfolio.

Job Functions: 

• Coach and mentor a group of 4-6 engineers in completing structural analyses on existing tower structures / communication structures to determine their structural capacity
• Review structural analyses performed by Design Engineers for thoroughness and accuracy
• Work with the Director of Structural Engineering to implement training documents for new and existing engineers
• Perform structural analysis on existing tower structures / communication structures and their foundations to determine their structural capacity
• Review foundation calculations performed by Design Engineers for thoroughness and accuracy
• Perform seismic calculations on existing tower structures / communication structures to determine is the seismic loading or wind loading governs
• Design complex tower modifications to reinforce tower structures if the loading parameters produce areas of overstressing. Coordinate the design with drafting to produce accurate detail drawings for bidding and construction purposes
• Guide engineers on how to analyze existing antenna mounts to determine their ability to support the proposed loading
• Review input information provided by the Design Engineers for thoroughness and accuracy
• Serve as Engineer-of-Record (EOR) for reviewed and signed & sealed structural deliverables
• Work with the Director of Structural Engineering to meet engineering team production targets, cycle time KPIs, and compliance with VB policies and industry standards & codes.
• Write professional engineering analysis, construction reports and review peer reports. Reports to be used by city, county, and state jurisdictions for permitting
• Stay current with the standard changes affecting the tower and communication structures industry and as tenants and clients change and modify their loadings
• Represent Vertical Bridge on various TIA sub-committees to provide input in the tower industry
• Assist in the coordination of managing vendors and their construction timelines for structural tower modifications.
• Assist in the coordination with outside consulting firms, tower crews both verbally and in writing when necessary to make sure projected dates of field work is completed on time
• Utilize the company’s workflow process to communicate engineering analysis results to operations and leasing teams
• Assist with the tower defect review process during acquisition process of new towers
• Provide input and think creatively to help improve efficiency on how the engineering department is performing various tasks

Position Overview

Woolpert is hiring a Roadway Engineer to join our dynamic Transportation Team at one of Ohio office. This position reports to the Roadway Engineer and is responsible for projects spanning multiple states, multiple clients and presenting unique challenges. About the Team:

The Recovery team is an integral part of the Cape Canaveral launch site, primarily responsible for the design, construction, and operation of the vessels used to recover the Terran R launch vehicle. This scope includes everything from vessel design and maintenance to the safing and securing of the rocket post-flight. We collaborate closely with teams across the company, including launch pad fluids engineers, rocket engine designers, and vehicle operators.

About the Role:

• Assist in bringing the Terran R Recovery barge from concept layouts to detailed plans, followed by supporting construction and activation efforts

The Quality Systems Technician plays a key role in supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of digital quality systems, smart tools, and quality infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:

• Support the setup, configuration, and validation of quality systems, including smart tools, AI cameras, and digital inspection devices.
• Assist in troubleshooting issues related to EQMS platforms, smart inspection systems, and quality data capture tools.
• Work with engineering, IT, and quality teams to integrate new tools and systems into production processes.
• Help build and maintain process flows, control plans, and digital documentation related to quality system infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or technical certification in Quality, Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering support role, preferably with exposure to quality or production systems.
• ⁠Experience with programming, scripting, or data visualization tools such as Python, SQL, VBA, or similar platforms is considered an asset.
• Familiarity with EQMS platforms, process automation, or smart inspection technologies is an asset.

Summary:

The Associate Electrical Test Engineer is responsible for the development and execution of tests to ensure the quality of our products. Additionally, is responsible for analyzing the product features, test requirements, creating customized quality checks, and writing up final test procedures for the approval of the sub-system lead engineer. Position Overview

We are seeking a Launch Operations Mechanical Engineer who plays a critical role in the final, high‑stakes phase of mission success. This position oversees mechanical processes and equipment at the launch base, ensuring all systems meet rigorous aerospace standards. The role bridges the gap between design and flight, managing the physical build, qualification, and configuration of the satellite while supporting the design of essential Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE) used across launch site operations.

We're looking for someone who has:

• Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in robotics hardware integration, embedded systems, or aerospace engineering.
• Deep expertise in vehicle electronics integration, specifically bridging autopilot firmware (e.g., PX4, ArduPilot) with onboard compute (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson, Raspberry Pi) and peripheral sensors.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and Python, with experience writing hardware abstraction layers or drivers for real-time systems.
• Hands-on experience with communication protocols such as CAN, UART, I2C, SPI, and MAVLink.
• Proven track record of building and scaling simulation environments, specifically Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing for autonomous vehicles or drones.
• Demonstrated ability to lead system-level bring-up, moving complex robotics platforms from initial bench-top prototyping to successful field or flight operations.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to act as the technical "glue" between GNC, software, and mechanical teams.

About the Team:

The Offshore Recovery team is responsible for designing, building and operating the maritime vessels used to land and recover the Terran R launch vehicle. This isn’t your standard desk job. We are a lean, fast-moving team who cover the full project lifecycle – beginning with system requirements definition and design, hands-on with build and activation in the shipyard, all the way through supporting critical offshore recovery missions at sea. You will work across vehicle, launch, manufacturing, test, and ground systems teams to translate high-level mission and operational needs into practical, manufacturable concepts. Rather than owning every detailed design activity directly, you will guide technical direction, perform design and manufacturability reviews, create preliminary concepts, and help teams make sound engineering decisions. This role also includes significant involvement in build, integration, and launch execution. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to resolve issues in real time, coordinate integration activities, and lead the technical response to unexpected challenges during hardware installation, testing, and launch preparation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead system architecture and technical direction for launch and ground support hardware, ensuring requirements, interfaces, safety, and concept of operations are fully understood before design begins.
