Senior Design System Engineer
We’re looking for a Senior Design System Engineer to take ownership of the technical architecture of our multi-platform design system. You’ll work directly with design system designers and platform engineering teams to take the way we build user interfaces at Bolt to the next level.

In this role you work daily with Designer System Designers, representing engineering interests. You will drive core design system initiatives from the engineering side, ensuring our design foundations scale effectively across all platforms and products. You will help shape design system strategy, align teams and contribute code.
This role is part of our Web Architecture and Visual Experience (WAVE) team. WAVE is responsible for the web platform, design system implementation for web and providing engineering support for the design system core.
You will get to own large projects that cover all platforms and can change how Bolt thinks about shipping user interfaces. Feeling passionate about accessibility? Own the technical vision. Architect platform-agnostic infrastructure like design tokens, Figma plugins and shared utilities. Promote best practices and facilitate technical discussions. Align engineering platform teams around shared design system goals and priorities. Shape the vision, strategy and roadmap for the design system, representing engineering interests. Develop technical metrics for the Design System. Advocate for the design system to the engineering organisation. Drive continuous improvement, identify opportunities and lead them.
You have worked in a design system team or as a contributor to a design system initiative. You have led engineers in complex cross-team projects. Ideally, in a multi-platform setting. You have practical experience working with multiple platforms (web + iOS/Android/React Native) You are a strong communicator, capable of representing diverse interests. You are a systems thinker, comfortable navigating in ambiguity.

Senior React Native Engineer (Mobile)
We are looking for 2 experienced Senior React Native Engineer to join our team in Tallinn: 1 Senior RN - Mobile (React.js/React native) and 1 Senior Fullstack (React.js/React Native/Backend).

As a Senior React Native Engineer, you will contribute to developing our Bolt Food platform, which currently has over 40,000 registered restaurants and is distributed on iOS, Android, and Web platforms. You will constantly work on new features and improve existing ones.
Working on Bolt’s mobile applications. Coding mostly in Typescript, React Native, and occasionally writing some native code for both Android and iOS. Covering your code with unit and e2e tests. Proactively fixing upcoming bugs and solving technical challenges. Participating in our product and technical roadmaps. You have strong collaboration skills and enjoy working closely with product, design, and other engineering teams. Nice to have: experience in payments/fintech; experience building platforms, SDKs, or reusable components (for fullstack role).

You have good English and communication skills .You have a solid understanding of data structure .You have experience with development for native platforms (iOS, Android), design tooling, and continuous integration systems.

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Payments UX team. As an Engineering Manager, you’ll lead a multi-platform engineering team covering mobile (iOS, Android, React Native), web, and backend, while staying close to architecture and key technical decisions. Your team will define how payment flows are built and integrated across Bolt, creating scalable solutions that work seamlessly across platforms and use cases. You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams across multiple verticals to align on a unified approach and ensure consistent, high-quality payment experiences.
Leading and growing talented Software Engineers specialising in backend, web, and mobile platforms, building and operating systems where failures have real user and operational impact. Defining and driving the team roadmap together with Product. Creating a team setup that enables predictable delivery, good engineering quality, and healthy collaboration. Driving individual 1-1s to mentor and coach Software Engineers to develop skills and uncover their potential. Communicating context and decisions clearly to engineers, stakeholders, and leadership.
You have 5+ years of hands-on software development experience and you’re comfortable staying hands-on with coding and technical decisions when needed. You have experience owning a product or platform area end-to-end, not just individual projects. You’ve led high-performing engineering teams and bring strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of hiring, growing, and retaining talent. You’re able to balance execution with long-term vision, set up effective engineering processes, and make data-driven decisions. You have strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, working effectively across teams. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, developing, and deploying Bolt's growing backend and frontend systems. That will mostly happen via coding in Node.js and TypeScript (PS: no previous experience with Node.js is needed).
Designing and building Bolt's growing backend and frontend systems. Coding mostly in TypeScript (previous experience with Node.js / React / React-Native is not required, but always welcomed. Paying attention to detail, proactively fixing upcoming bugs and solving technical challenges. Contributing ideas to our product development roadmap. Giving a hand to your fellow colleagues, participating in code reviews and architecture discussions.
You have experience in JavaScript and Node.js / C++ /Java or any OO language. You have knowledge of major frontend frameworks and experience with API design and development. You have a university degree in a technical subject (Computer science, Mathematics or similar). You have 4+ years of experience in software development. You have good English and communication skills. You have solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, experience with any SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
