Senior Experience Designer (Product & Design Platform) - Advanced English

Job responsibilities
- Play an active role in the delivery and design of technology projects, developing and evolving digital products and services within complex ecosystems
- Collaborate with small, cross-functional teams to create a wide range of experience design deliverables including journey maps, service blueprints, prototypes at multiple fidelity levels, and design systems
- Contribute to the evolution of Design Platforms and Design Systems, connecting design decisions to product and engineering strategy
- Work in close collaboration with engineering teams, understanding technical trade-offs and operating comfortably in agile delivery contexts
- Lead discovery and research activities, translating findings into concrete product and platform-level decisions — not just research outputs
- Facilitate workshops and develop design strategies that connect user insights to business and product direction
- Balance client and Thoughtworker expectations by clearly communicating experience design deliverables and managing scope and risk
- Support less-experienced designers and contribute to the broader design community at Thoughtworks
Job qualifications
Technical skills
- Demonstrated hands-on experience across the full design cycle: discovery, prototyping, and delivery — not just one phase
- Prototyping at multiple fidelity levels is a core part of your practice, not an occasional activity
- Experience contributing to or working with Design Systems or Design Platforms in a product context
- Comfortable leading and advising research activities, employing methods such as contextual inquiry, moderated interviews, usability testing, and experiments
- Ability to connect research insights to product decisions and clearly articulate the why behind your design choices
- Systemic thinking: you can reason about how design decisions scale across teams, products, or journeys
- Advanced English and Spanish are required (both non-negotiable given the client and team context)
Professional skills
- You bring a collaborative, practical approach to design and thrive in cross-functional teams alongside product managers and engineers
- Strong communicator who can present findings and design rationale to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- You understand stakeholder management and can build trust with clients throughout a project
- A passion for contributing to the experience design community at Thoughtworks
- We would love it if you shared a portfolio link that showcases your expertise in Digital products - Web and Mobile. Enterprise / SaaS Experience in your field is essential.

Job responsibilities
- Design and structure consistent experiences across complex flows, multiple teams, and domains within shared products and systems
- Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to organize complex user journeys, define usage rules, and ensure coherence across solutions used by multiple users or internal teams
- Create experience design deliverables including journey maps, service blueprints, information architecture documentation, prototypes, and design systems
- Facilitate workshops and contribute to strategic design decisions at the portfolio level
- Apply research methods such as contextual analysis, moderated interviews, and user testing to inform design direction
- Regularly assess and communicate project scope, risks, and updates to stakeholders
- Balance client and Thoughtworker expectations by clearly communicating experience design deliverables
- Support less-experienced designers and extend your expertise across the team
- Advocate for experience design within and beyond Thoughtworks through conferences, webinars, meetups, and community contributions
Job qualifications
Technical skills
- You have solid experience as a Product Designer working on complex B2B, SaaS, or internal systems products
- You bring strong information architecture skills and a proven ability to structure and simplify complex user flows
- You have hands-on experience collaborating directly with engineering teams throughout the product development cycle
- You are comfortable leading and advising research activities, employing methods such as contextual inquiry, moderated interviews, and user testing
- You are an experienced storyteller, able to clearly present research findings and design decisions to diverse stakeholders
Professional skills
- You bring an inspiring, structured approach to design and enjoy facilitating client and team sessions around complex systems
- You understand stakeholder management and can liaise effectively between clients, product, and engineering teams to ensure alignment and trust
- You are comfortable designing solo or collaborating across disciplines to deliver high-quality experience design outputs
- You have a knack for defining project roles and building confidence in your design teammates
- You are passionate about contributing to the growing experience design community at Thoughtworks through peer reviews and knowledge sharing
- Advanced English level
Nice to Haves
- You have experience working with shared platforms or systems across multiple teams or domains
- You bring familiarity with integrations or APIs and how they shape user experience decisions
