As a Production AI Ops Lead, you will design and develop the production lifecycle of full-stack AI applications, while supporting end-to-end system reliability, real-time inference observability, sovereign data orchestration, high-security software integration, and the resilient cloud infrastructure required for our international government partners.

You will:

• Own the production outcome: Take full accountability for the long-term performance and reliability of AI use cases deployed across international government agencies.
• Ensure Full-Stack integrity: Oversee the end-to-end health of the platform, ensuring seamless integration between the AI core and all full-stack components, from APIs to UI, to maintain a responsive and production-ready environment.

Ideally, you have:

• Experience: 6+ years in a high-impact technical role (SRE, FDE or MLOps) with experience in the public sector.
• Global perspective: Familiarity with international government security standards and the complexities of deploying sovereign AI.
• System architecture proficiency: Proven experience maintaining production-grade applications with a deep understanding of the full request lifecycle-connecting frontend/API layers to the backend and AI core.
• Modern AI Stack expertise: Proficiency in coding and the modern AI infrastructure, including Kubernetes, vector databases, agentic development, and LLM observability tools.

This team is responsible for generating, executing, and fostering Scale’s work with governments and government-backed entities outside of the United States.

We work with them to understand their pain points and workflows and then forward deploy our team to build cutting-edge solutions. We are looking for an entrepreneurial and experienced product leader to play a pivotal role in the ideation and development of transformative AI solutions. The ideal candidate has deep experience with AI/ML application development, can think strategically about how to solve a problem, is an excellent listener, is comfortable getting into the weeds operationally, and has a strong understanding of software engineering principles and practices. You will be responsible for owning large AI projects for one or many customers.

You will lead a cross-functional team of engineers, MLEs, and operators to build a highly impactful solution for our customers that will drive millions in revenue for our business as well. 

Responsibilities: 

• Lead design workshops with the client to define custom AI solutions 
• Scope out new AI application use cases across various government entities
• Lead cross-functional development of AI applications and custom LLMs with diverse stakeholders (Engineering + Ops + Go-to-Market)
• Consistently engage with future end-users to solicit feedback and ensure we are prioritizing effectively
• Stay up to date with latest research in applied AI and training custom LLMs
• Scope out model evaluation sets and performance requirements, consistently review results, and iterate on the solution
• Give regular progress updates to the client and Global Public Sector leadership

Minimum Qualifications: 

• 4+ years of experience building products with specific experience within the last 1-2 years building AI-powered products
• Strong technical background (STEM degree) and/or experience building technical software products 
• Strong understanding of generative AI technologies and their applications in both enterprise and consumer settings
• Experience with vibe coding tools (i.e., Replit, Lovable, Bolt, etc.) and design tools (i.e., Figma/Canva/Miro)
• Exceptional leadership, presentation and communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams

Scale is hiring ML Research Engineers to bridge the gap between frontier research and real-world impact. While we solve critical challenges for global governments, your role will extend beyond implementation. As Channel Manager, you will own and grow Scale AI's partner and channel ecosystem in Qatar - identifying, developing, and managing relationships with the technology partners, system integrators, and resellers that extend our reach across the market. You will work closely with the Country Lead and the broader go-to-market team to build a partner network that accelerates Scale's mission in Qatar and delivers measurable impact for government and enterprise customers. This is a high-impact, high-ownership role at the heart of one of Scale's most strategically significant markets. You will be operating at the intersection of national AI ambition and enterprise transformation and the work you do will directly shape how Qatar's institutions and organisations adopt and benefit from AI.

What you'll do

• Build and manage Scale AI's channel partner ecosystem in Qatar - identifying, recruiting, and onboarding Global & Local system integrators, technology partners, and value-added resellers aligned with Scale's mission and market priorities.
• Drive partner-sourced pipeline and revenue working with partners to identify opportunities, structure joint go-to-market motions, and accelerate deals across government and enterprise segments.
• Develop and execute joint business plans with key partners setting clear objectives, aligning on priorities, and holding partners accountable to agreed outcomes.

• Represent Scale AI at industry events, forums, and partner engagements across Qatar building the brand and expanding the network in a market where relationships and presence matter.

What we're looking for

• 7+ years of experience in channel management, partner development, or enterprise go-to-market roles within the technology sector.
• Proven track record of building and scaling channel ecosystems in the Gulf region with deep knowledge of the Qatar market, its institutions, and its partner landscape.
• Strong understanding of AI, data, and enterprise software able to articulate Scale AI's value proposition fluently to technical and non-technical audiences alike.
• Exceptional relationship management skills able to build trust and operate with credibility at the C-suite and ministry level.
• Highly organised and data-driven, comfortable managing complex partner portfolios, pipeline reporting, and performance metrics with rigour and precision.
• Fluency in Arabic and English - both written and spoken, with the cultural intelligence to operate effectively across diverse stakeholder environments.
• Based in Doha, Qatar or willing to relocate. This is an on-site role requiring active presence in the market.

• Backend Development and System Ownership: Design and implement secure, scalable backend systems for customers using modern, cloud-native AI infrastructure. Own services or systems, define long-term health goals, and improve the health of surrounding components.
• Collaboration and Standards: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute backend and infrastructure solutions tailored for secure environments. Enhance engineering standards, tooling, and processes to maintain high-quality outputs.
• Infrastructure Automation and Management: Write, maintain, and enhance Infrastructure as Code templates (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) for automated provisioning and management. Manage networking architecture, including secure VPCs, VPNs, load balancers, and firewalls, in cloud environments.

Ideally you’d have:

• A strong engineering background, with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 5+ years of post-graduation engineering experience, with a focus on back-end systems and proficiency in at least one of Python, Typescript, Javascript, or C++
• Extensive experience in software development and a deep understanding of distributed systems and public cloud platforms (AWS and Azure preferred)
• Track record of independent ownership of successful engineering projects
• Experience working fluently with standard containerization & deployment technologies like Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, etc.
