Unity Engine is used by millions of creators around the world to build powerful and engaging real-time experiences. At the heart of this is graphics, from the initial point of content creation down to the final pixels on the target device.

The Graphics Middle Layer team is looking for a new team member. We cover a wide range of areas: from Meshes and Textures, through to LOD, Culling, Batching and GPU-driven rendering. These form the foundation for nearly any Unity project and other engine graphics technologies. In all these areas there is a big emphasis on performance, scalability and cross platform compatibility. 

As a senior graphics engineer on our team, you will be responsible for developing parts of Unity’s GPU Resident Drawer and will have influence over the direction of our GPU-driven rendering technology stack as well as helping us maintain, improve and optimize existing batching, culling, mesh, streaming and related rendering technologies. 

We don’t work in isolation. You will collaborate closely with your colleagues on this team, and our other graphics and platform teams around the world. Occasionally this might extend to discussions and collaboration with our customers and hardware/platform partners.

What you'll be doing

• Help evolve Unity’s rendering systems to leverage GPU-driven techniques, in particular working on GPU Resident Drawer, batching and culling systems.
• Contribute code in both C++ and C# to our full tech stack, from low-level hardware abstraction through to shaders and high-level user-facing APIs. 
• Take part in technical discussions, investigate complex problems, research and prototype solutions, and collaborate on initiatives. 
• Maintain existing systems, improving performance, testability and stability.
• Help with tasks within other areas the team owns when necessary, including textures, meshes and our import pipeline.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure only high quality software is committed. 
• Closely collaborate with Product Management, Quality Assurance and UX to ensure the best possible outcomes for our product

What we're looking for

• Real-world experience of graphics programming on a shipped product.
• Solid working knowledge of engine architecture and common graphics algorithms.
• A good understanding of modern GPU architecture, ideally across multiple platforms and hardware generations.
• Experience with modern a graphics API such as Vulkan, Direct3D 12 or Metal Expertise with C++, C#, and shader languages such as HLSL.
• Experience in profiling and optimizing performance.
• Great teamwork and interpersonal skills, including good communication skills and a proactive work ethic.
• Passion for performance, code analysis, and debugging tools.
• Willingness to jump into unfamiliar technical areas.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals. 
• Working knowledge of Unity.

• Experience with GPU driven rendering techniques.
• Experience with mesh clustering, clustered mesh culling or mesh shaders. 
• Experience developing for mobile, console or VR. 
• Experience with streaming technologies such as mesh or texture streaming, virtual. texturing, mipmap streaming, LOD or meshlet streaming.
• Experience of Neural Rendering techniques.
• Experience with culling technologies such as frustum, occlusion culling or cluster culling. 
• Experience with other Game Engines.

The opportunity
Unity’s commerce systems power the business infrastructure behind our developer ecosystem — from licensing and subscriptions to in-editor purchases and platform integrations. At the heart of this architecture is commerce services: backend-for-frontend (BFF) services and integrations that encapsulates business logic and service orchestration for our commerce platform.

The Core Commerce Backend team plays a pivotal role in unifying frontend experiences with backend systems such as commercetools, user identity, entitlement services, and pricing logic.

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to lead architecture and implementation efforts across Bridge’s Typescript-based services. You’ll design reliable, scalable APIs and evolve our backend foundation to support a growing suite of commerce experiences.

What you'll be doing

• As a Senior Backend Engineer you will be expected to be able to:
• Take a partially defined specification, understand the underlying requirement and problem and turn it into either a detailed specification for a less senior engineer or deliver the solution yourself.
• Work closely with business, IT partners (business analysts and project managers) and the integration team to understand and solve business problems.
• Design, implement and deliver highly scalable solutions based on modern cloud-based architectures.

What we're looking for

• We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer who:
• 5+ years as a backend microservice engineer
• Demonstrated experience designing and developing scalable and reliable microservices.
• Proficient in TypeScript, particularly for service-layer development
• Experience in designing, implementing and executing unit tests
• Experience with some of the other technologies used by the team: SQL/NoSQL, queues, alerting
• Strong track record designing and implementing RESTful microservices
• Comfortable taking ownership of system design and architectural decisions

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, etc.)
• Experience deploying and operating services in Kubernetes

The opportunity
The Unity Studio Productions team is a group of highly skilled Software Developers and Technical Artists with deep expertise in the Unity platform, whose main goal is to help our customers improve their projects, internal workflows, and assist them in the resolution of very challenging technical problems, bridging with the Unity Engine team in the process. To do this, we provide a series of short-term and long-term co-development services that can range in duration from one week to eighteen months and beyond.

Our customers include globally known game development studios and publishers in need of having their games’ performance optimized, their visual targets met, ported to difficult platforms, and timely advice on how best to use Unity. Your day-to-day work will include collaborating with game development studios, optimizing their games, developing solutions for their most challenging problems, and striving to ensure that their projects succeed.

What you'll be doing

• Working closely with external customer teams in the Denmark to develop games and game production tools.
• Scoping, estimating, and assisting in the planning of customer projects.

• Efficiently solve problems, communicate, and educate our clients, both remotely and on-site at their offices.

What we're looking for

• Experience on a variety of game projects, platforms, not necessarily all Unity.
• Ability to adapt to customer production environments and in some cases, take over work streams in collaboration with the customer.
• Understanding of the technical challenges related to complex game development environments.
• Ability to work closely in a team, plan, coordinate, communicate work intentions, progress, and deliver work in a timely manner, dealing with the usual complications of game development.
• The ability to work independently, identifying and clarifying the tasks, assisting the Project Manager and more inexperienced developers.
• The ability to develop and debug code written in a large multithreaded C# or C++ codebase, using a multi-platform engine. (e.g. Unity, Unreal, in-house)
• Deep technical expertise in the Unity ecosystem, including C#, ScriptableObjects, Addressables, Unity Lifecycle and modern render pipelines. (URP/HDRP).
• A proactive mentor who excels at technical documentation and cross-departmental problem-solving.
• Proven ability to profile and optimize CPU, GPU, and memory usage using the Unity Profiler, Frame Debugger, and RenderDoc.
• The ability to translate complex technical topics into understandable concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience shipping and maintaining titles across diverse hardware (Mobile, PC, or Console) with an understanding of platform-specific constraints.

• Experience (or strong interest) in high-performance paradigms like DOTS, ECS, and the C# Job System.
• Experience with Version Control (Git/Perforce) in a production environment.
• Experience in delivering training/technical talks and writing technical articles.
