About The Team
Roku’s Aarhus office is focused on acoustics, audio processing and cloud technologies, centered around a purpose-built operating system for streaming TV.
About The Role
We are looking for students interested in starting a full-time internship from Summer 2026. This role is for a 20-week internship, based out of our Aarhus, Denmark office.

The opportunity
Unity Engine is used by millions of creators around the world to build powerful and engaging real-time experiences. At the heart of this is graphics, from the initial point of content creation down to the final pixels on the target device.
The Graphics Middle Layer team is looking for a new team member. We cover a wide range of areas: from Meshes and Textures, through to LOD, Culling, Batching and GPU-driven rendering. These form the foundation for nearly any Unity project and other engine graphics technologies. In all these areas there is a big emphasis on performance, scalability and cross platform compatibility.
As a senior graphics engineer on our team, you will be responsible for developing parts of Unity’s GPU Resident Drawer and will have influence over the direction of our GPU-driven rendering technology stack as well as helping us maintain, improve and optimize existing batching, culling, mesh, streaming and related rendering technologies.
We don’t work in isolation. You will collaborate closely with your colleagues on this team, and our other graphics and platform teams around the world. Occasionally this might extend to discussions and collaboration with our customers and hardware/platform partners.

What you'll be doing
- Help evolve Unity’s rendering systems to leverage GPU-driven techniques, in particular working on GPU Resident Drawer, batching and culling systems.
- Contribute code in both C++ and C# to our full tech stack, from low-level hardware abstraction through to shaders and high-level user-facing APIs.
- Take part in technical discussions, investigate complex problems, research and prototype solutions, and collaborate on initiatives.
- Maintain existing systems, improving performance, testability and stability.
- Help with tasks within other areas the team owns when necessary, including textures, meshes and our import pipeline.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure only high quality software is committed.
- Closely collaborate with Product Management, Quality Assurance and UX to ensure the best possible outcomes for our product
What we're looking for
- Real-world experience of graphics programming on a shipped product.
- Solid working knowledge of engine architecture and common graphics algorithms.
- A good understanding of modern GPU architecture, ideally across multiple platforms and hardware generations.
- Experience with modern a graphics API such as Vulkan, Direct3D 12 or Metal Expertise with C++, C#, and shader languages such as HLSL.
- Experience in profiling and optimizing performance.
- Great teamwork and interpersonal skills, including good communication skills and a proactive work ethic.
- Passion for performance, code analysis, and debugging tools.
- Willingness to jump into unfamiliar technical areas.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of Unity.

The opportunity
The Unity Studio Productions team is a group of highly skilled Software Developers and Technical Artists with deep expertise in the Unity platform, whose main goal is to help our customers improve their projects, internal workflows, and assist them in the resolution of very challenging technical problems, bridging with the Unity Engine team in the process. To do this, we provide a series of short-term and long-term co-development services that can range in duration from one week to eighteen months and beyond.
Our customers include globally known game development studios and publishers in need of having their games’ performance optimized, their visual targets met, ported to difficult platforms, and timely advice on how best to use Unity. If you're technically skilled, customer-focused, curious, and thrive on variety, this job will suit you.
Your day-to-day work will include collaborating with game development studios, optimizing their games, developing solutions for their most challenging problems, and striving to ensure that their projects succeed.

What you'll be doing
- Working closely with external customer teams in the Denmark to develop games and game production tools.
- Scoping, estimating, and assisting in the planning of customer projects.
- Build close relationships with Unity's internal development teams, and provide customer feedback and production verification of future features of Unity technology and services.
- Efficiently solve problems, communicate, and educate our clients, both remotely and on-site at their offices.
- Proactively train yourself to remain at the forefront of Unity Engine technology and game content creation technology.
- Visit customers for short-term consultations and give them advice on how to improve their existing projects.
What we're looking for
- Experience on a variety of game projects, platforms, not necessarily all Unity.
- Ability to adapt to customer production environments and in some cases, take over work streams in collaboration with the customer.
- Understanding of the technical challenges related to complex game development environments.
- Ability to work closely in a team, plan, coordinate, communicate work intentions, progress, and deliver work in a timely manner, dealing with the usual complications of game development.
- The ability to work independently, identifying and clarifying the tasks, assisting the Project Manager and more inexperienced developers.
- The ability to develop and debug code written in a large multithreaded C# or C++ codebase, using a multi-platform engine. (e.g. Unity, Unreal, in-house)
- Deep technical expertise in the Unity ecosystem, including C#, ScriptableObjects, Addressables, Unity Lifecycle and modern render pipelines. (URP/HDRP).
- A proactive mentor who excels at technical documentation and cross-departmental problem-solving.
- Proven ability to profile and optimize CPU, GPU, and memory usage using the Unity Profiler, Frame Debugger, and RenderDoc.
- The ability to translate complex technical topics into understandable concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience shipping and maintaining titles across diverse hardware (Mobile, PC, or Console) with an understanding of platform-specific constraints.
You might also have
- Experience (or strong interest) in high-performance paradigms like DOTS, ECS, and the C# Job System.
- Experience with Version Control (Git/Perforce) in a production environment.
- Experience in delivering training/technical talks and writing technical articles.

We build and harden the runtime enforcement layer for Unity Catalog, ensuring secure, consistent authorization and data access across Databricks compute, engines, and clouds. This reduces incidents and simplifies customer choices by unifying enforcement semantics.
