About the role:

8am is hiring a Software Development Engineer in Test to embed within our SaaS Platform team, the group that owns customer identity, authentication, provisioning, roles and permissions, risk profiling, and the APIs every other 8am product consumes. You will own the test automation strategy for that team and partner with engineers from requirements through release.

We do not embed SDETs everywhere. We place them where the rate of change and blast radius warrant it. SaaS Platform is one of those places. QE owns test strategy, risk assessment, and quality gates; SDETs own the automation that makes those gates enforceable. Your focus is end-to-end flow coverage of the critical user journeys that exercise the platform in production, plus contract coverage of the APIs downstream products depend on. We do not chase atomic line coverage at the E2E layer. Your work directly supports our Defect Leakage Rate target of under 15%.

• 6+ years in software development or test automation, with demonstrated experience designing E2E automation around critical flows rather than chasing coverage targets. Familiarity with risk-based testing and the test pyramid as working concepts, not buzzwords.
• Advanced to expert in Python and PyTest, with deep experience across both front-end (Playwright) and API test automation.
• Hands-on experience testing authentication, provisioning, and role/permission systems, including OAuth, SAML, and SSO. Comfortable with API contract testing and OpenAPI specification development and validation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage development of the Wowhead Studio application, to facilitate datamined assets of creatures, characters, and other in-game objects

• Maintain Wowhead’s model tools using the site’s WebGL model viewers. TypeScript-based standard viewer used in most of Wowhead website.

Experience and Technical Requirements

This role is for Nebius AI R&D, a team focused on applied research in AI. Examples of applied research that we have recently published include:

We're hiring a Manager II of Quality Engineering to lead a team of QEs embedded across our Agile squads. You'll report to the Senior Director of Quality Engineering and partner with peers across QE management. Wrike’s Backend Reliability (BRE) team is the backbone of our backend infrastructure and the guardian of our uptime. Our mission is to achieve and sustain 99.99% availability while building the tools, components, and safety nets that the entire engineering organization relies on. What you'll do:

Champion Product Quality

• Advocate for the customer experience throughout the development lifecycle
• Design comprehensive test strategies for complex product features and platform services
• Identify risks early and raise quality concerns before issues reach production
• Write and maintain high-quality test cases covering real-world usage scenarios
• Perform root cause analysis and clearly communicate the impact of defects

Test Complex Systems

• Validate APIs, integrations, and distributed services
• Test data pipelines, system workflows, and multi-step product flows
• Ensure correctness of integrations with third-party systems and internal services

Drive Quality Improvements

• Help define and improve quality engineering standards and processes

• Track and report on quality metrics and help reduce production defects

Provide Technical Leadership

• Mentor and support junior quality engineers

About you:

• 3–7 years of experience in software quality engineering
• Experience testing complex SaaS applications or distributed systems
• Strong experience with API testing (REST, webhooks, or similar)
• Strong SQL skills for validating data and system state
• Experience testing integrations, workflows, or data pipelines
• Experience working in cloud environments (AWS or similar)
• Proficiency with Linux and command-line tools for debugging and log analysis

What you'll do:

• Design and create performance test suites for multiple product teams against a microservices-based SaaS platform running on AWS.
• Operate and help maintain production-like environments for performance analysis, diagnosis, and regression testing.
• Analyze application and infrastructure logs to identify, isolate, and help root-cause performance degradations.
• Define, track, and report on performance KPIs (response times, throughput, error rates, resource utilization) and deliver trend analysis and projections to engineering leadership and product stakeholders.
• Use usage and trend data to identify capacity risks and provide recommendations before they impact customers.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering, DevX, SDET, and Product teams to prioritize and validate performance improvements.
• Partner with Security QE on the overlap between performance and security risk. Load and stress tests reveal how systems degrade under pressure, which is exactly what attackers exploit via DoS and resource-exhaustion vectors. This role will collaborate with Security QE to integrate security-informed scenarios (authentication storms, TLS renegotiation abuse, API rate-limit validation) into performance test plans, and surface high-resource-cost endpoints to security for assessment.
• Identify and define nonfunctional performance tests for CI/CD pipeline gates (Integration, Regression, Post-Deployment). Work with DevX and Platform Engineering to establish pass/fail thresholds that catch regressions before production.
• Contribute to performance engineering standards, runbooks, and best practices within the QE organization.

About you:

• 3+ years of hands-on performance testing and analysis on microservices-based, cloud-hosted (AWS) SaaS platforms.
• Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to move from symptoms to root cause.
• Background in statistical analysis: trend modeling, interpolation, extrapolation, and capacity forecasting.
• Working knowledge of AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, ECS/EKS), Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with performance testing tools (k6, Gatling, Locust, JMeter, or equivalent).
• Experience with observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) and log aggregation (ELK Stack, CloudWatch).
• Scripting proficiency in Python or comparable language for test scenarios, data analysis, and light tooling. Coding experience is a plus, but this role prioritizes performance engineering skill over software development depth.
• Comfortable working asynchronously across multiple time zones in a remote-first team.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); Czech language skills are a plus but not required.

About the role

As a Principal Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work directly with early adopter customers to deploy JetBrains Central platform into complex enterprise environments and help them move from experimental AI usage to governed, scalable AI-native development.

You will act as a trusted advisor to customer engineering teams and consulting partners, while also mentoring other Forward Deployed Engineers and helping with complex deployments. In this role, you will help establish best practices for enterprise AI adoption and influence how organizations implement AI-driven software development.

This role is often a strong fit for engineers who have previously served as Principal or Staff Engineers, Heads of Engineering, CTOs, or Solutions Architects and who enjoy working directly with customers while staying deeply involved with complex technical systems.
