Senior Fullstack Engineer with a frontend focus (Angular)

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and reusable frontend systems that form the foundation of our UI platform, supporting organization-wide frontend development needs and directly enhancing user experience and platform reliability.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and fellow engineers to translate design concepts and user requirements into high-quality, functional code.
- Lead the entire feature development lifecycle, from initial ideation and technical design to implementation and deployment, ensuring a high standard of code quality and performance.
- Optimize our web applications for peak performance and responsiveness, ensuring a consistent and seamless experience for customers, regardless of their device or browser.
- Take ownership of key projects that directly impact the usability and security of our cloud platform, ensuring customers can safely and easily manage their data storage.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience in a full-stack or frontend-focused capacity, specifically building customer-facing SaaS or cloud platforms.
- Advanced Frontend Expertise: TypeScript and JavaScript frameworks (such as Angular or React) with a proven ability to architect asynchronous logic and manage complex module bundling.
- Modern Web Fundamentals: A strong command of HTML and CSS/Sass, with a deep understanding of layout, specificity, and accessibility best practices for building cross-browser compatible applications.
- Responsive Design & UX: A track record of engineering high-performance, responsive web applications that ensure a seamless user experience across a diverse range of devices and screen sizes.
- Cloud-Native Proficiency: Practical experience working within Kubernetes and AWS environments to deploy and manage scalable, modern web services.
- Technical Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to quickly ingest and apply new technologies, frameworks, and engineering best practices to a fast-evolving product ecosystem.

We are looking for a Mobile Engineer with experience in React Native who wants to contribute to the development of a modern product in a US startup with a Czech-based engineering team.

Providing a mobile front door that is easy to use, works reliably, and drives revenue for our users is a cornerstone of our engineering strategy. Our iOS and Android app has over 100,000 daily active users and is a key part of our platform’s UX. It is widely used and highly rated by users.
What will you do?
- Designing, building, and maintaining our mobile application for iOS and Android using React Native.
- Improving and scaling our mobile platform to support mobile development.
- Collaborating with UI/UX designers to deliver polished and user-friendly interfaces.
- Iterating quickly on new product features and influencing product direction.
- Following best engineering practices, ensuring high-quality code and efficient workflows.
- Engaging with backend services when needed (APIs, database interactions, backend logic).

Your typical day
Your day begins with review of a teammate’s GitLab merge request. It has already been reviewed by Claude, but you’ll think deeply about the business problem, alternative solutions, and future needs.
Then you spend a few undisturbed hours “in the flow,” working on a technical design doc for a new project. Once you’ve completed a draft, you send it to another teammate for feedback, then decide to jump on a Zoom call to talk it over and refine it.
After lunch, you join the team for a quick standup via Zoom to discuss current work and the plan for the next few days. You mention that you’re finishing up a small improvement to improve the logging and alerting for one of our components that requires high uptime. A teammate offers to review your changes. It has some complex behavior, so you walk through it together and make a few improvements.
Soon, the new unit tests are green. With a few keystrokes, you create a merge request, spin up a dev instance, and deploy your change. After some quick smoke tests, you and your teammate decide to merge the change. Your improvement will be deployed in production with the release in a few days.
Next, you respond to a Slack request for advice on integrating with the authorization API. You draft a short tech design doc that links the API spec, code examples, and optimization tips. You discuss it on the team channel, and your manager forwards it to another team that’s also starting a new service.
Your day ends with a chat with a product manager about questions that came up while drafting the tech design. With their feedback, you refine the proposal to deliver the core feature more quickly, while the product manager will work with customers and decide how much more to invest. Tomorrow, you’ll break down the tasks in Jira and decide what you’ll complete yourself and what you’ll ask teammates to complete….

What challenge awaits you?
As a Senior Software Engineer for JS Web SDK & React Native Mobile SDK at our company, you'll encounter exciting, high-end technical challenges. You'll be part of a team that delivers innovative features, enabling our clients to build powerful mobile applications using Web & Mobile SDKs on platforms of their preference (Web: TypeScript, Mobile Natives: Android, iOS, Mobile Wrappers: React Native, Flutter). These SDKs track user behavior and provide capabilities to deliver personalized content. You’ll work on implementing and extending components that provide features like push notifications, in-app messaging, tracking, dynamic rendering, and many more. We will encourage you to explore and engage with various parts of our platform. Your primary focus will be in JavaScript / TypeScript for Web & Mobile React Native SDK Wrapper.
Your job will be to:
- Design & Deliver new features
- Ensure quality and compatibility

a. Design & Deliver new features
- Translate business requirements for product features into detailed technical specifications and comprehensive design documents.
- Define and develop new features with a strong emphasis on quality, usability, and performance.
- Build, publish and monitor new versions of React Native Platform, ensuring seamless adoption.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to incorporate best practices into the development process.
b. Ensure quality and compatibility
- Implement robust testing, and validation processes to ensure the reliability and stability of the new features.
- Measure and tune client-side performance of our features.
- Continuously improve the technical quality and ease of use of Web & React Native SDKs.
- Make sure we utilize all the mobile technologies in the best way - ensuring our Web & React Native SDKs are functional, secure and high performance.
- Conduct regular code reviews and use static code analysis tools to maintain high code quality.
- Collaborate with QA engineers to develop comprehensive test plans and automated tests.
c. Support and Maintain owned components
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing features, including troubleshooting issues, fixing bugs, and implementing enhancements.
- Support our client-facing colleagues in the investigation of possible issues (L3 support).
- Document code including guides, configuration instructions, feature descriptions, design decisions, and operational procedures to facilitate ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.
- Utilize feedback from users and stakeholders to continually improve the functionality and usability of Mobile SDKs.

b. Ensure quality and compatibility

- Measure and tune client-side performance of our features.

- Make sure we utilize all the mobile technologies in the best way - ensuring our Web & React Native SDKs are functional, secure and high performance.
- Conduct regular code reviews and use static code analysis tools to maintain high code quality.
- Collaborate with QA engineers to develop comprehensive test plans and automated tests.
c. Support and Maintain owned components
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing features, including troubleshooting issues, fixing bugs, and implementing enhancements.
- Support our client-facing colleagues in the investigation of possible issues (L3 support).
- Document code including guides, configuration instructions, feature descriptions, design decisions, and operational procedures to facilitate ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.

In your first year, you’ll develop features used by thousands of customers and deliver fast, consistent, and high-energy (but low-drama) product releases. Your typical day
Your day begins with review of a US teammate’s GitLab merge request. It has already been reviewed by Claude, but you’ll think deeply about the business problem, alternative solutions, and future needs. Then you spend a few undisturbed hours “in the flow,” working on changes to the user management APIs to support a UX improvement that a designer suggested yesterday. Soon, all your new unit tests are green. With a few keystrokes, you create a merge request, spin up a dev instance, and deploy your change. After some quick smoke tests, you send a link to a frontend engineer who is collaborating with our team.
After lunch, you join your team for a quick standup via Zoom to discuss current work and the plan for the next few days. A teammate offers to review your new code. It has some complex behavior, so you walk through it together and make a few improvements.
The frontend engineer confirms over Slack that your API changes provide what they need. You merge it, which automatically retests and deploys to a staging environment. The UI changes and a few more integration tests from the QA team will be merged in a day or two. Your improvement will be in production in a few weeks.
Next, you respond to a Slack request for advice on integrating with the authorization API. You draft a short tech design doc that links the API spec, code examples, and optimization tips. You discuss it on the team channel, and your manager forwards it to another team that’s also starting a new service.
Your day ends with a quick chat with a product manager about another idea….

We are looking for a Frontend Engineer Mobile with experience in React Native, who wants to contribute to the development of a modern product in a US startup with a Czech-based engineering team.
About the team
Mobile engineering builds the core application that helps small businesses get discovered and create magical moments. From scheduling to payments, marketing to payroll; we’re building a product that makes it easy for people to grow their customer base while we handle the complexities of tailoring our software to fit their business needs.
Providing a mobile front door that is easy to use, works reliably, and drives revenue for our users is a cornerstone of our engineering strategy. Our iOS and Android apps have over 100,000 daily active users. They are a key part of our platform’s user experience, and we offer more than 1,400 branded apps in the stores. It is widely used and highly rated by others.
As a key member of our frontend team, you’ll work on both mobile and web development in an early-stage US startup with a Czech-based engineering team. Your main focus will be designing, building, and maintaining our React Native mobile applications for iOS and Android, with opportunities to contribute to our web frontend and shared frontend platform.
What will you do?
- Developing and maintaining our mobile applications using React Native but also working across both frontend and backend technologies.
- Contributing to our web frontend (React) if you have experience or want to expand your skills.
- Improving and scaling our frontend platform to support both mobile and web development.
- Collaborating with UI/UX designers to deliver polished and user-friendly interfaces.
- Iterating quickly on new product features and influencing product direction.
- Following best engineering practices, ensuring high-quality code and efficient workflows.
- Engaging with backend services when needed (APIs, database interactions, backend logic).
- Working in a flexible and autonomous environment, shaping technical and product decisions.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys both mobile and web development, wants to contribute to an impactful product, and values autonomy in a small but experienced team.
What are we looking for?
- You have 5+ years of experience in mobile development (React Native for iOS/Android); experience with web development (React) is a bonus.
- A solid understanding of backend fundamentals (APIs, databases, backend services) allows you to handle occasional backend tasks.
- A strong product mindset helps you iterate quickly and find practical solutions.
- Working with UI/UX teams to create polished, user-friendly interfaces is something you enjoy.
- Being based in CZ.
- You are comfortable working in English in an international environment.
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience supports your technical background.
- A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn and share knowledge drive your growth.
