THE ROLE

You will be the architect of risk reduction, transforming raw vulnerability data into a prioritized roadmap for a secure enterprise. Your mission is to move beyond "fixing everything" to strategically eliminating the specific vulnerabilities that pose the highest risk to our global infrastructure. By collaborating across Cloud, DevSecOps, and Product teams, you will ensure our security posture is proactive, measurable, and deeply integrated into our delivery lifecycle. This role is a high-impact opportunity to influence how we define "safe" across a modern, multi-cloud environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Drive Risk-Based Prioritization: Shift the organization from volume-based reporting to intelligence-driven action by correlating vulnerability data with exploitability, asset criticality, and attack surface exposure to ensure teams focus on what matters most.
• Operationalize Global Scanning: Lead the end-to-end operation and continuous improvement of enterprise scanning across AWS, Azure, GCP, and containerized environments to maintain 100% visibility of our digital footprint.
• Enable Cross-Functional Remediation: Partner directly with Infrastructure and Engineering owners to drive remediation efforts against established SLAs, identifying root causes like base-image drift or patching gaps to prevent recurring risks.
• Integrate Defense Context: Collaborate with Detection and Incident Response teams to map vulnerability classes to active threats, helping determine if known exposures contributed to incidents and identifying where new detections are required.
• Engineer Operational Excellence: Automate the lifecycle of a vulnerability—from discovery and Jira ticket creation to final reporting—providing leadership with "Fix Impact Reports" that clearly quantify how our security efforts reduce business risk.

WHAT YOU BRING

The Core Essentials

• 5+ years of experience in security operations, vulnerability management, or security engineering in an enterprise environment (or equivalent practical experience).
• Hands-on experience running vulnerability management programs and working with asset discovery and/or secrets detection tools (e.g., runZero, TruffleHog, GitLeaks, or similar).
• Experience configuring and operating a Zero Trust / secure web gateway platform (e.g., Zscaler ZIA/ZPA or similar) and securing at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Proficiency in SIEM detection engineering (preferably Splunk) and scripting or programming in at least one of: Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with engineering teams to prioritize and drive remediation, and to explain technical risk in clear, business-relevant language.
• We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Prague office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

Bonus Points (Preferred Skills)

• Experience with Zscaler ZIA/ZPA specifically, including SSL inspection design, certificate management, and policy tuning in a global environment.
• Experience integrating secrets scanning into CI/CD pipelines and automating remediation.
• Exposure to threat emulation / adversary simulation (e.g., Atomic Red Team) and deception technologies mapped to MITRE ATT&CK.
• Background in penetration testing, red team, or purple team activities that inform defensive control design.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will own end-to-end development of new agent capabilities, from researching Linux and cloud security technologies to designing detection strategies and delivering them at scale. About the role:

8am is hiring a Software Development Engineer in Test to embed within our SaaS Platform team, the group that owns customer identity, authentication, provisioning, roles and permissions, risk profiling, and the APIs every other 8am product consumes. You will own the test automation strategy for that team and partner with engineers from requirements through release.

We do not embed SDETs everywhere. We place them where the rate of change and blast radius warrant it. SaaS Platform is one of those places. QE owns test strategy, risk assessment, and quality gates; SDETs own the automation that makes those gates enforceable. Your focus is end-to-end flow coverage of the critical user journeys that exercise the platform in production, plus contract coverage of the APIs downstream products depend on. • Design and create performance test suites for multiple product teams against a microservices-based SaaS platform running on AWS.
• Operate and help maintain production-like environments for performance analysis, diagnosis, and regression testing.
• Analyze application and infrastructure logs to identify, isolate, and help root-cause performance degradations.
• Define, track, and report on performance KPIs (response times, throughput, error rates, resource utilization) and deliver trend analysis and projections to engineering leadership and product stakeholders.

This role will collaborate with Security QE to integrate security-informed scenarios (authentication storms, TLS renegotiation abuse, API rate-limit validation) into performance test plans, and surface high-resource-cost endpoints to security for assessment.
• Identify and define nonfunctional performance tests for CI/CD pipeline gates (Integration, Regression, Post-Deployment). Work with DevX and Platform Engineering to establish pass/fail thresholds that catch regressions before production.
• Contribute to performance engineering standards, runbooks, and best practices within the QE organization.

About you:

• 3+ years of hands-on performance testing and analysis on microservices-based, cloud-hosted (AWS) SaaS platforms.
• Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to move from symptoms to root cause.
• Background in statistical analysis: trend modeling, interpolation, extrapolation, and capacity forecasting.
• Working knowledge of AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, ECS/EKS), Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with performance testing tools (k6, Gatling, Locust, JMeter, or equivalent).
• Experience with observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) and log aggregation (ELK Stack, CloudWatch).

About the role:

8am is looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to help us build and maintain our next-generation platform. You will be a member of the Platform Engineering Organization, which is responsible for the software and infrastructure management focusing on availability, performance and security of core service layers supporting our payments platform and practice management software.  We serve over 200,000 legal professionals and process over $18 billion in payments every year!  You will work closely with our development teams to ensure they have the tools needed to build, test, and deploy code with ease and ensure software and quality engineer success. You will engineer and maintain configuration management environments, software delivery pipelines, IaC processes, technical governance and observability tools among other areas of platform availability.

What you'll do:

• Automate deployment, monitoring, and management for 100% AWS cloud based infrastructure
• Develop, implement and own developer focused internal tooling and automation as your product
• Share in new feature design as the cloud SME supporting container/k8s first designs
• Create and maintain automated Ci/CD pipelines that streamline the release process and ensure high-quality code is delivered rapidly and continuously in a safe and compliant manner

About you:

• 5+ years of professional technical experience in software engineering, AWS cloud operations or a related function.
• 3+ years of experience within a DevOps, INF or Platform Engineering role
• Experience implementing and maintaining kubernetes specific Ci/CD pipelines using CircleCI (preferred), ArgoCD (preferred), Jenkins, Github Actions, Gitlab, Azure Devops, etc.
• Experience creating internal tooling that supports developer productivity
• Experience designing and implementing automated development environments
• Documented experience provisioning and managing infrastructure in a public cloud environment such as AWS (heavily preferred), Google Cloud Platform, or Azure
• Experience with Linux container technologies, such as Docker, OCI, LXC and ability to administer, build and deploy images in an automated manner.
• Solid understanding of how a Kubernetes platform operates (service discovery, deployments, monitoring, scheduling, load balancing)
• Proficiency in at least one, ideally more of the following programming or scripting languages: Ruby, Python, Java, Javascript (NodeJS), Bash
• Experience utilizing Infrastructure as Code to provision and maintain infrastructure: Terraform (preferred), CloudFormation
• Working understanding of relational database systems such as MySQL (preferred) and PostgreSQL
• Experience with Kafka on an MSK environment is a plus
