About the role:
The Associate, Financial Reporting is responsible for execution of statutory legal entity reports. This includes the preparation of statutory financial exhibits and footnotes, analytics, audited financial statements and supplemental filings.
You will report into the Associate Director, Financial Reporting.
Work Location: This is a remote position, open to candidates who reside in: Hartford, CT. You will be fully remote; however, our approach to work may adapt over time. Future models could potentially involve a hybrid presence at the hub office associated with your metro area. #LI-Remote
Pay Transparency: The base pay for this role is: $82,717 - $108,566 per year.You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.
Responsibilities:
- Monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
- Completing the monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory (and stand-alone legal entity) reporting processes, including analytics and related financial statement disclosures.
- Executing work related to the statutory audit efforts.
- Work on process improvement opportunities.
- Work with Regulatory Relations and other teams across the Organization to respond timely to regulator inquiries.
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or 4 years of relevant experience.
- 3+ years of related experience on an accounting or reporting team.
Bonus points:
- Experience in a similar position at a health insurance company.
- Experience with US-based insurance companies.
- Certified Public Accountant licensure (CPA).
- Practical experience in statutory reporting.

Description:
This role is responsible for generating sales, increasing revenue and profitability. This position establishes and develops client relationships as well as works with one or more recruiters to fulfill open job orders. The position will collaborate with business stakeholders, business leaders and subject matter experts to plan and deliver projects effectively and timely.
Essential Job Functions:

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain target list developing client relationships.
- Conduct prospecting activities including phone calls, “ad calls,” skills marketing, email, social media, in-person meetings, and other methods.
- Generate new job orders weekly in line with performance objectives.
- Manage new and open job orders from intake to fulfillment.
- Utilize Bullhorn to log all activity, notes, and information vital to managing and growing a book of business as well as planning daily activities.
- Collaborate with teammates to cross-sell and/or fulfill open positions across other lines of business and/or national practices as appropriate.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 0-18 months selling accounting/financial project solutions or comparable client relations experience in audit, tax, and/or public accounting.
- CPA, CFA, MBA or other professional designation a plus.
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
