Your Role at impact.com:

Reporting to the Manager of Customer Operations Systems, the Internal Systems Engineer (Applied AI) is a specialized, high-impact builder role dedicated to supercharging our Customer Operations teams (Support, Success, Onboarding, Implementation).

This is a highly practical, application-focused engineering position instrumental to our AI transformation. You will spend your time across three types of work:

1. Building AI-powered tools and agents. You will integrate applied AI into our workflows using modern frameworks. You will consult with business stakeholders to help explain the art of the possible, guide them in defining logic and prompts, and own building and maintaining agentic workflows and tools. Example projects include building an AI-powered QA and training tool with a RAG component for new support agents, architecting agentic workflows for our onboarding team, or building a FreshDesk integration that suggests draft responses to tickets.
2. Building and maintaining a shared agent platform. This is what makes AI scale beyond our team. You will build and maintain the templates, approved patterns, and deployment infrastructure that enable people across Customer Operations to build their own agents without needing to figure out hosting, monitoring, or API connectivity themselves. When a Technical Services lead wants to build an agent that automates "pixel not firing" investigations, they should be able to do it on your platform without writing a deployment script. You own making self-serve actually work.
3. Building robust internal software, integrations, and automations - such as developing custom FreshDesk widgets to support our agents. You will own the full lifecycle of these apps: building, hosting, monitoring, maintaining, and eventually retiring them when they're no longer needed.

What You'll Do:

• Software Development Foundation: Proven experience building, hosting, and maintaining applications and tools. You are comfortable writing clean, functional code (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, etc.) to solve operational problems. You understand what it means to keep something running in production, not just get it working once.
• API & Integration Expertise: Deep experience working with REST APIs. You can easily build connectors between distinct SaaS platforms to automate data flows and trigger actions.
• Applied AI Engineering: Hands-on experience with LLM orchestration frameworks (like LangChain or LangGraph). You understand MCPs, RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, DAG vs linear flows, engineering HITL systems, and have built real-world systems using these rails.

• Experience building custom apps or integrations specifically for Freshdesk (or similar enterprise ticketing systems like Zendesk/Jira).
• Background working in or building tools for Customer Support, Customer Success, or Onboarding teams.
• Experience integrating with knowledge base platforms (like Gitbook or similar documentation sites).
• Proven experience taking automation projects from concept to deployment within a large, complex organization.
• Experience building internal platforms or developer tools that other teams use to self-serve.
• Experience with monitoring and observability for AI systems in production.

Salary range: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year, plus an additional 5% variable annual bonus contingent on Company performance and eligible to receive a Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) grant.

This position is responsible for supporting civil site projects, typically including grading and earthwork, site access, erosion control, stormwater management, and other documentation to support the client's permitting and construction efforts.  Priority will be given to candidates who are interested in civil site projects.

About The Role: 

The CSV Engineer I is responsible for ensuring that GxP computerized systems at Forge Biologics are validated in compliance with regulatory standards (21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11, GAMP 5). This role directly supports gene therapy manufacturing operations by leading validation activities for key systems including Veeva QMS, BMRAM, analytical lab instruments, and the Metasys BMS. By maintaining data integrity and system compliance, the CSV Engineer plays a critical part in ensuring product quality, patient safety, and regulatory inspection readiness.

Responsibilities:

• Author, review, and execute validation deliverables for GxP computerized systems, including Validation Plans, Requirements Specifications (URS/FS/DS), IQ/OQ/PQ protocols, Trace Matrices, and Validation Summary Reports.
• Supports computer system validation efforts for Veeva Vault QMS, BMRAM (laboratory information management), analytical lab instruments (e.g., HPLC, UHPLC, PCR instruments, plate readers etc), ERP System (NetSuite).
• Perform risk assessments to determine validation approach and ensure appropriate testing of system functionality, data integrity, and audit trail review.
• Manage system change control, deviations, and CAPAs related to validated systems, ensuring compliance with Forge’s quality system.
• Collaborate with IT, QA, Lab Operations, and Facilities teams to support system upgrades, patches, and periodic reviews while maintaining validated state.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field (or equivelant experience).
• 2+ years of experience in Computer System Validation (CSV) within a GxP regulated environment (pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device).
• Working knowledge of GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11, and data integrity principles (ALCOA+).
• Experience validating at least one of the following: Veeva Vault QMS, BMRAM, laboratory instrumentation (e.g., Waters, Agilent, Chromeleon, Softmax or similar), or a building management system (BMS) like Metasys.
• Strong technical writing skills and ability to execute protocols with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Author & maintain Tosca automation assets (Modules, TestCases, TestCaseDesign templates, ExecutionLists) with a strong focus on reusability, optimization and data-driven testing.
• Act as the technical subject matter expert (SME) in Tosca Automation and related testing methodologies
• Build and evolve automation frameworks and libraries for SAP (GUI/Fiori) and Salesforce (Lightning) including API integrations.
• Implement integration and end-to-end testing across SAP ↔ Salesforce workflows; design stubs/mocks where needed.
• Use Tosca API Scan to automate REST/SOAP services with token handling, correlation, and chained calls.
• Orchestrate Distributed Execution (DEX) and CI/CD runs with Jenkins/Azure DevOps; publish results to qTest for traceability and reporting.
• Partner with product teams to define testability, test data strategies (e.g., Tosca Test Data Service), and environment readiness.
• Drive quality metrics (automation coverage, pass rate, failure triage time, mean time to fix) and present outcomes to stakeholders.
• Establish and enforce standards: naming conventions, folder structures, versioning practices, and code reviews for Tosca assets.
• Mentor other engineers; provide enablement and best practices (risk-based testing, shift-left, API-first automation).
• Collaborate as needed with performance/security teams to align non-functional testing (e.g., NeoLoad) and quality gates.
• Support UAT and release activities; contribute to defect prevention and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Serve as the primary liaison for VST  Support Teams, addressing incidents and providing configuration and operational support.
• Effectively communicate test results and actionable insights to stakeholders at all levels.

Minimum Qualifications Section:

• 5+ years in QA/Test Automation, with 3+ years focused on Tricentis Tosca.
• 3+ years in demonstrated hands-on experience in writing and maintaining Tosca automation scripts for complex enterprise applications.
• Practical exposure to SAP and Salesforce
• 3+ years with API testing (REST/SOAP), JSON/XML validation, environment variables, and authentication flows.

Preferred Qualifications:
