The Role:
We are seeking a talented full‑stack, front‑end‑focused engineer specializing in React, TypeScript, and Server‑Side Rendering (SSR) principles to join our growing organization. This role is ideal for an engineer with deep expertise in modern front‑end technologies and a passion for high‑quality delivery.
The right candidate demonstrates a relentless commitment to customer outcomes, leads by example, and thrives in highly collaborative, cross‑functional environments.
Location: This position is remote in Denver, CO. We intend to open an office in Denver and once we do, we will require hybrid attendance onsite at least 9 days each month.
Responsibilities:
- Champion highly functional, iterative delivery partnerships with Product, Design, and Engineering teams
- Build and enhance web applications using React, delivering responsive, accessible, performant, and delightful customer experiences
- Evangelize and promote reusable, local component development using Tailwind design tokens to simplify reuse and maintain consistency
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable, robust software solutions
- Partner with domain and data providers to integrate and deliver end‑to‑end solutions iteratively
- Leverage headless CMS platforms and low‑code solutions when appropriate
- Ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices through code reviews and mentorship
- Advocate for the customer through experimentation, data‑driven decision making, and continuous feedback
- Stay current with emerging front‑end trends, tools, and best practices to keep the platform modern and competitive
- Contribute to and inspire a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experienceProven expertise building externally facing, highly available UI experiences using React or similar frameworks (e.g., Next.js, Angular)
- Strong experience partnering with UI/UX designers and leveraging design systems, component libraries, charting libraries, and data grids/tables
- Demonstrated track record of collaboration, rapid delivery, and actively supporting teammates through technical challenges
- Deep experience with build optimization and bundling tools
- Solid knowledge of event‑driven architectures, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, WebSockets, and related web communication protocols
- Strong command of front‑end architecture patterns, best practices, and methodologies for large‑scale, customer‑facing applications
Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)
- Experience building applications using a Backend‑for‑Frontend (BFF) architecture and/or serverless (Lambda) functions
- Familiarity with Cloudflare as a CDN and caching layer
- Experience programming in C# and .NET
- Working knowledge of AWS and/or Azure cloud infrastructure
- Background in FinTech, Financial Services, or other highly regulated industries
- Experience working in high‑growth, venture‑backed startups, including scaling organizations post‑IPO
For residents of Denver, CO the annual salary range for this role is $152,000-$190,000+ annual bonus. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, bonus, and other factors

The Role:
As our Senior Data Engineer focusing on data engineering, you will play a crucial role delivering a high-quality data platform that is responsible for maintaining and delivering Forge data to internal and external clients as well as improving and maintaining internal user interfaces to interact with this data. You will implement new features, maintain existing features and perform code reviews, unit testing, and production deployments for our data platform using agile methodologies. Collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams, you’ll ensure requirements are well defined, and changes are delivered in a timely manner.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions
- Implement software solutions in line with given estimates
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and advocate for their appropriate adoption
Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of experience in development using Object oriented languages like Typescript, C#, and Java
- Experience in other scripting languages like Python for data tasks.
- Experience with front-end toolkits like React and TailwindCSS.
- Familiarity with the modern data architectures (e.g. Medallion, Datalakes etc)
- Experience working in Private Markets or Financial Services space specifically with financial markets data
- Proven expertise in setting up CI/CD pipelines, data orchestration, managing application deployments, and ensuring code quality
- Strong project management skills, taking changes from planning to deployment, with hands-on coding in both backend and frontend
- Proficient in Databases like PostgreSQL and SQL queries and experience with cloud platforms like AWS or similar (e.g. Azure, GCP)
- Extensive experience with version control systems like Git and platforms like GitHub.
- Familiarity with Agile project management tools such as JIRA or similar
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in migrating systems from legacy architectures to modern tech stacks
- Knowledge of real-time data processing and event-driven architectures using technologies like WebSockets or Kafka
- Experience in leading offshore and nearshore teams
- Experience using large language models and agentic workflows

What You'll Do
- Understand needs for mission operations interfaces, telemetry formats, commanding, and current use cases.
- Audit existing tooling to determine gaps in preparation for architecting and designing new ground software
- Identify critical mission operations workflows and associate them with mission milestones
- Train on console for upcoming mission operations
What you will own in the next 30 days:
- Produce a cloud based design/ architecture on a scalable and resilient ground software
- Help create automated tooling to improve ground procedures
- Define developer the culture around coding standards, testing, and procedures
- Mentor junior engineers
- Improve and own deployment processes through CI/CD
- Help own and create roadmaps needed to meet program milestones

Required:
- 8-12+ years of cloud based scalable micro service architecture

- Experience building entire ground stacks from the ground up
- Experience in creating high reliability production-critical systems
- Experience with new space companies not traditional primes
- Owned the process and procedure for deploying, testing and integrating into a full life cycle system
- Deep technical fluency in cloud, backend, frontend, and streaming systems
- AWS Suite (EKS, MSK, Timestream, S3, Batch, Event Bridge), Python, C++, React, Tailwind, Redis, Kafka, influx, QuestDB, MongoDB, git, CI/CD, Docker, K8
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science or other related STEM fields
- Master’s degree preferred
Compensation and Benefits:
Your base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. The anticipated salary range for this role is $180,000 - $240,000 annually.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at Katalyst. You will also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of the Employee Stock Option and Equity Plan, as well as a relocation bonus and other discretionary bonuses. You will also receive access to comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, and unlimited Paid Time Off.
