Woolpert is hiring an Interior Designer to join our Interiors Discipline supporting our dynamic Mission Critical / Data Center practice. This position reports to the Interiors Discipline Team Leader and will play a key role in the design, planning, and delivery of highly technical workplace interior environments within mission critical and data center facilities.
This role includes developing interior design concepts, producing design documentation and high-quality renderings, and collaborating closely with the architectural team to ensure a fully integrated design approach. The position requires advanced expertise in interior systems, materials, detailing, and coordination—particularly where interiors intersect with complex infrastructure, MEP systems, and operational requirements.
You will serve as a trusted technical and design resource, working collaboratively with project managers, architects, designers, and consulting partners to support design quality and successful project outcomes. This role requires the ability to engage effectively with experienced professionals, contribute to integrated architectural and interior design solutions, and communicate clearly through all phases of design and delivery.
The Designer III leads significant portions of complex projects and provides day-to-day guidance and direction to more junior interior designers, supporting their technical development, design execution, and understanding of firm standards and best practices. This role contributes to technical standards, supports quality control throughout project delivery, and actively participates in cross-disciplinary design coordination. In addition to technical excellence, this position is designed for a designer who demonstrates clear leadership potential—someone who shows interest and aptitude in mentoring others, guiding teams, and developing strong people-management skills over time.
This position is ideal for a technically and creatively driven interior designer who thrives in mission critical environments, values collaboration with architectural partners, and is ready to grow as an emerging design leader within the firm.
We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located. #LI-SN1
