The Role

What you'll do
- Architect, develop and maintain resilient Java services to power TAPE's critical post-trade processing workflows, including trade capture, position aggregation
- Engineer highly scalable distributed systems capable of processing millions of daily trades across multiple asset classes, optimizing for low latency in position updates while maintaining data consistency.
- Work closely with other engineers and stakeholders within the Post Trade Technology team to ensure seamless integration and alignment with broader post-trade processing initiatives and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including traders, quant developers, and other technical groups—to design, build, and enhance client APIs in Java, C++, and Python.

What we are looking for

Compensation
The salary range for this role is listed below. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The discretionary bonus will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, and firm performance.
Most teams at CTC, with the exception of Trading, follow a hybrid workplace model, subject to change based on business need.

Responsibilities:
- Platform Ownership: Lead the development and end-to-end ownership of member-facing web, mobile, and AI chatbot experiences.
- Architectural Leadership: Define and maintain technical standards for front-end architecture, shared patterns, performance, accessibility, and long-term maintainability.
- Cross-Platform Integration: Drive a pragmatic strategy for reusable business logic, design consistency, and seamless experiences across web and mobile platforms where it adds value.
- Backend and Cloud Collaboration: Partner closely with engineers working in .NET / C# and Microsoft Azure to deliver secure, reliable, observable, and scalable solutions.
- AI and Member Experience: Help shape AI-enabled chat and support capabilities that improve navigation, engagement, and service for Lantern members.
- Mentorship: Act as a technical pillar for the engineering organization by mentoring engineers, leading design reviews, and guiding complex implementation decisions.
Requirements:
- Work Experience: Extensive years of professional software engineering experience, preferably with at least 2+ years operating at a Staff, Principal, or equivalent technical leadership level in product-focused environments.
- Front-End Expertise: Deep expertise in TypeScript, React, and modern front-end architecture, with the ability to operate effectively in environments that also include Angular.
- Mobile Expertise: Proven experience building and supporting production-grade applications using React Native.
- Backend and Cloud Fluency: Strong experience partnering with backend teams working in .NET / C# or Node.js and building solutions that run on Microsoft Azure.
- Design Systems and UI: Hands-on familiarity with Tailwind CSS and/or NativeWind, reusable component patterns, and high-quality user experience implementation.
- Preferred Skills: Experience building or integrating AI / LLM-powered product features such as chat, guided workflows, copilots, or search-driven experiences.
- Domain and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence across engineering, product, design, and business stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

What You’ll Do
As the Application Support Engineering Team Lead, you will build, guide, and mentor a team of Application Support Engineers while also serving as a senior point of contact for technical issue resolution. You’ll ensure that both internal teams and external customers receive exceptional support, while driving operational excellence and knowledge-sharing across the organization.
- Lead & Mentor: Manage and support a team of Application Support Engineers, fostering professional growth through coaching, feedback, and ongoing development.

Basic Requirements

- Experience with a logging tool such as DataDog or Splunk.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Familiarity with a cloud service such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.

Job Description
Waltz Health is looking for a skilled Engineering Lead to drive the architecture, development, and delivery of core healthcare technology solutions across the organization. This role involves leading teams, mentoring engineers, and leveraging Microsoft Azure to accelerate our platform roadmap and improve healthcare outcomes through technology.
You will be reporting to the Sr. Director, Enterprise Architecture & Data. You will be responsible for:
- Own architecture and delivery of marketplace platform applications across Microsoft Azure, including App Services, Azure Functions, AKS, and supporting platform services.
- Manage and mentor engineering teams; set goals, coach career growth, and foster a high-performance, inclusive culture.
- Partner with Product, Architecture, and Business stakeholders to define API-first roadmaps and translate requirements into executable plans.
- Oversee SDLC from design to deployment and support, review customer feedback and operational metrics for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with clients on custom requirements and integration architectures that are simple, secure, and cost-effective.
- Design, develop, and maintain CRM/workflow automation solutions; enforce data integrity, security, and compliance.
- Lead API-led integrations using an enterprise integration platform (iPaaS); define integration patterns and SLAs.
- Architect, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available Azure cloud infrastructure and platform services, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform), compute (AKS), storage, data services, and integration capabilities.
- Architect and implement microservices using Spring Framework and Azure-native services.
- Establish standards for REST/GraphQL API design, versioning, documentation, and governance (policies, rate limiting, security, observability) using tools such as Azure API Management and Azure Monitor/Application Insights.
- Work with Product to define objectives, success metrics, and release plans for platform features; drive agile, iterative delivery.
- Mentor and guide engineering teams, establish best practices, and foster a technology-agnostic mindset.
- Deliver simple, cost-effective solutions for complex integration and business challenges.
In the first 90 days, you will:
- Ramp up on the Waltz platform, enterprise application landscape, integration architecture, and Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Establish API-first practices and governance; prioritize integration backlogs.
- Deliver initial microservices and integration use-cases focused on data ingestion, transformation, pricing, and platform interoperability.
