Reporting directly to the VP of Analytics, this is a senior leadership role with broad scope: you will oversee a team of analysts and managers, own the analytical strategy for the Exec Ed business, and serve as the most senior analytics voice in partner and leadership conversations for this segment. The role sits at the intersection of people leadership, investment management, and business performance - and requires someone who can operate with authority at both the strategic and operational level.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

1. Team Management & Development

• Lead and manage the Cape Town Exec Ed analytics team, including a Senior Manager, Lead Analyst (Portfolio), and Senior Analysts.

• Set clear expectations for performance, output quality, and professional development across the team.

• Own the hiring, onboarding, and capability development of direct reports and the broader team beneath them.

• Create a high-performance team culture that is analytically rigorous, partner-oriented, and accountable to outcomes.

• Serve as the escalation point for people, performance, and stakeholder issues within the Exec Ed analytics function.

2. Spend Management & Investment Oversight

• Own the analytical oversight of Exec Ed media investment ensuring spend plans are grounded in performance data, aligned to program goals, and executed correctly by media teams.

• Hold the team accountable to monthly spend plan production and budget management for every program in the Exec Ed portfolio.

• Partner with the Demand Generation and Media teams to ensure investment decisions are informed by full-funnel analytics, not channel metrics alone.

• Provide leadership-level visibility into spend performance, variance from plan, and the analytical rationale behind investment decisions.

3. Analytics & Program Performance

• Ensure the team delivers rigorous, timely program performance analytics across all Exec Ed offerings - covering funnel performance, submit-to-registration conversion, and cohort-level outcomes.

• Own the registration forecasting function for Exec Ed, ensuring forecasts are accurate, consistently produced, and clearly communicated to business stakeholders.

• Drive the team toward analytical best practices including the use of consistent methodologies, clean data hygiene, and a push toward automation where appropriate.

• Lead or sponsor program performance conversations with senior internal stakeholders, stepping in where Director-level presence is required.

4. Portfolio Performance & Partner Reporting

• Maintain a portfolio-level view of Exec Ed program health - tracking trends, identifying systemic risks, and ensuring leadership has a clear picture of the business at all times.

• Oversee partner reporting ensuring that analytics delivered to university partners are accurate, well-presented, and reflect the full scope of program performance.

• Oversee contact strategy analytics and customer journey analytics for Exec Ed, ensuring the team is building the right frameworks to measure and optimize the learner experience.

• Partner with the VP of Analytics and CMO on portfolio-level strategy, cross-functional priorities, and Exec Ed business planning.

5. .  Cross-Functional Leadership

• • Serve as the senior Exec Ed analytics representative in cross-functional forums involving Finance, Media, Demand Generation, and Partner teams.

  • Partner with the Finance team on program-level financial reporting, forecast alignment, and budget planning.

  • Coordinate with the Degree Analytics team particularly the Portfolio Analytics function, to ensure consistency in methodology and reporting standards across the organization.

  • Represent the analytics function in partner-facing conversations where a Director-level presence is required.

Things That Should Be In Your Background:

• 8+ years of experience in analytics, with at least 3 years leading a team of 4 or more analysts or managers.

• Demonstrated ownership of a business analytics function with accountability for both people and outcomes.

• Strong command of demand generation analytics, media spend management, and enrollment or registration funnel performance.

• Experience engaging with external partners or clients in an analytics capacity  -  you are comfortable in the room with senior stakeholders.

Your Role at impact.com:

Reporting to the Manager of Customer Operations Systems, the Systems Analyst is the operational backbone of our Customer Operations technology stack. You will own the day-to-day health, configuration, and continuous improvement of the systems that power how we work - most critically our FreshWorks implementation (FreshDesk for ticketing, FreshChat for chat), which supports Support, Success, Compliance, Renewals, Onboarding, and many other teams across impact.com.

This is not a "configure it and walk away" role. Our FreshDesk environment is large, complex, and deeply integrated into our business operations. It serves many teams with distinct workflows, automations, routing rules, SLA configurations, and reporting needs. You will own all of it - ensuring it runs cleanly, scales as the business evolves, and gets simpler over time, not more convoluted.

You will spend your time across three types of work:

1. Systems administration and optimization. You own FreshDesk and FreshChat configuration end-to-end: workflows, automations, groups, fields, rules, integrations, and everything in between. You are constantly looking for ways to simplify, automate, and eliminate manual workarounds. You inherited complexity; your job is to leave behind clarity.
2. Cross-functional process design. You are a business process partner. You work with stakeholders across the company to understand their operational needs, gather requirements, align competing priorities, and design solutions within our tooling. A significant portion of your time will be spent in conversations: understanding what teams actually need, translating that into system design, and getting stakeholder buy-in before you build.
3. Data partnership. The data in our systems powers reporting, dashboards, and AI tools downstream. You play a critical role in ensuring that data is clean, well-structured, and reliable. You partner with our Data team to map and describe data, identify quality issues at the source, and make changes in FreshDesk that improve the integrity of everything built on top of it.
   
   

This role is for someone who is equal parts meticulous and practical. You are the person who notices that a workflow has five unnecessary steps, who asks "why do we have 47 ticket categories when we use 12 of them," and whom it bothers when a process doesn’t match the reality of how people actually work. • Systems Administration Expertise: Deep, hands-on administrative experience with enterprise ticketing and chat systems. • Business Process Design: Proven ability to analyze complex operational processes, identify inefficiencies, and design streamlined solutions. You don't just configure what people ask for - you push back, simplify, and propose better approaches. You understand that the best system design starts with understanding the business problem, not the tool.
• Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management: Strong experience gathering requirements from multiple teams with competing priorities and translating them into coherent system design. You are comfortable pushing back on senior stakeholders when a request would add unnecessary complexity, and you know how to find the solution that serves multiple teams without creating a mess.
• Data Fluency: Proficiency in SQL and a strong understanding of data structures. You can look at a FreshDesk data export and immediately spot quality issues. You understand how system configuration decisions affect downstream reporting and analysis, and you design with data integrity in mind.
• Technical Fluency: Strong working knowledge of APIs (REST). You should be comfortable discussing endpoint design with vendors and internal engineering teams, understanding integration architecture, and troubleshooting data flow issues between systems. Basic scripting ability (JavaScript, Python) is a plus but not required.
• Documentation & Communication: You can clearly document system configurations, process designs, and data mappings so that your work is understandable and maintainable by others. You can explain complex system behavior to non-technical stakeholders in terms they understand.
• Operational Rigor: You are relentlessly organized. You track changes, maintain configuration documentation, and don't make changes to production systems without understanding the downstream impact. You have a healthy respect for the blast radius of a misconfigured automation rule.

What You Bring:

• Specific, deep expertise managing FreshDesk (or Zendesk) at enterprise scale with multiple teams and complex workflows.
• Experience working within a Customer Operations, Customer Success, or Support organization.
• Direct experience integrating ticketing systems with Salesforce, Jira, or product platforms.
• Familiarity with AI tools and how they interact with operational systems - you don't need to build AI, but understanding how clean data and well-designed processes feed into AI systems is increasingly important in this role.

Reporting to the Manager of Customer Operations Systems, the Internal Systems Engineer (Applied AI) is a specialized, high-impact builder role dedicated to supercharging our Customer Operations teams (Support, Success, Onboarding, Implementation).

This is a highly practical, application-focused engineering position instrumental to our AI transformation. You will spend your time across three types of work:

1. Building AI-powered tools and agents. You will integrate applied AI into our workflows using modern frameworks. You will consult with business stakeholders to help explain the art of the possible, guide them in defining logic and prompts, and own building and maintaining agentic workflows and tools. Example projects include building an AI-powered QA and training tool with a RAG component for new support agents, architecting agentic workflows for our onboarding team, or building a FreshDesk integration that suggests draft responses to tickets.
2. Building and maintaining a shared agent platform. This is what makes AI scale beyond our team. You will build and maintain the templates, approved patterns, and deployment infrastructure that enable people across Customer Operations to build their own agents without needing to figure out hosting, monitoring, or API connectivity themselves. When a Technical Services lead wants to build an agent that automates "pixel not firing" investigations, they should be able to do it on your platform without writing a deployment script. You own making self-serve actually work.
3. Building robust internal software, integrations, and automations - such as developing custom FreshDesk widgets to support our agents. You will own the full lifecycle of these apps: building, hosting, monitoring, maintaining, and eventually retiring them when they're no longer needed.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it:

As a Software Engineer, you will be someone whose expertise directly translates into developing robust software in the e-commerce domain. You will have the opportunity to implement best practices to improve existing software and participate in the development of new features. While we don't promote after-hours work as part of the regular workday, we run a 24/7 business with the need to keep systems up and running. Software Engineers are expected to provide after-hours support on a rotational basis to resolve critical system issues if needed.

The role is focused on maintaining our search stack. We are currently in the process of transitioning from Elasticsearch to Vertex AI Search, so experience with any of those would be a bonus, but not a necessity. Experience with any kind of search technology (Solr, Algolia) is relevant. Takealot runs mostly on Python, but experience in any of the mainstream backend languages (Python, Java or Go) is a plus.

We are looking for a Senior Node.js Engineer who doesn't just write code but actually enjoys the craft of programming. We need a proactive problem-solver - someone who treats failing code as a captivating puzzle to be solved and fixed before it impacts the user experience.

Our core product relies on a sophisticated ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) engine that pulls data from a dizzying array of external sources.

• Architect & Build: Develop robust, scalable integrations using Node.js and TypeScript.
