Anduril is seeking a Support Systems Engineering Lead to join the Omen team at our Costa Mesa HQ. Omen is Anduril’s hover-to-cruise autonomous air vehicle (AAV) that packs the endurance, payload, and mission flexibility of much larger airplanes into a novel runway-independent Group 3 platform. Omen can operate from ship decks, beaches, or remote island clearings, providing true runway independence and freedom of maneuver across defense and civilian domains. Omen is the first tail-sitter aircraft with a mass-production contract, with an order of 50 systems representing a decisive investment that anchors production and accelerates the development of future systems.

You will work on new aircraft development, bringing pragmatic Support Systems thinking to complement and enhance the overall capability, ensuring that end-user needs are met in challenging operational environments. You will be part of a lean, high-ownership culture where you directly shape the product and operate at a velocity to fly new designs within months, not years.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Architect, plan, and lead the design and development of a broad Support System (including deployment, supply, operations and maintenance; and everything in between)
• Hire, develop, and grow a hands-on Engineering team focused on practical Support System solutions
• Collaborate with customer stakeholders on a comprehensive concept of employment to ensure operational needs are understood
• Own ‘Day In The Life Of’ decomposition activities to influence functional decomposition shaping the design of the Air Vehicle and Mission Systems
• Design, fabricate and test, Air Vehicle and Mission System transport and handling equipment to enable rapid deployment in a range of challenging operational environments
• Identify appropriate standards and associated interfaces for supply systems (such as fueling and charging) as inputs to design
• Leverage emerging technologies to develop maintenance systems, operational processes, and training approaches that set new standards for what good looks like
• Collaborate with peers across the Division to drive a consistent approach and ‘look and feel’ of a Common Support System across the Product ecosystem enhancing customer experience and familiarity
• Develop and own the Omen Project Reliability and Maintainability Plan (RMP)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES

• Bachelor degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or aviation related technical discipline
• 10+ years of experience in Aviation, Aerospace or product development/design environments including technology maturation
• Familiarity in applying Systems Engineering, and first-hand understanding of benefits and limitations of the approach
• Experience working in operational environments performing logistics, maintenance, or training roles including familiarity with supporting fielded systems in the control of customers.
• Be focused on both design and operation for maximum safety
• Strong bias for action and extremely high ownership in fast paced environment
• Ability to break complex problems into achievable challenges for consumption by the team
• Experience with high voltage systems/batteries and/or hybrid powertrains
• Trade or Mechanic qualifications considered advantageous
• Defense Industry or Military Service background highly desirable

This position will be filled by a highly motivated Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic with a passion for developmental flight test of a new and revolutionary products contributing valued mechanical expertise in all fields of aircraft and missile systems maintenance. You will work heavily with the program leadership and a wide spectrum of cross-departments to help build a team focused on solving hard problems and changing the industry forever. The role will be responsible for aircraft mechanical assessment, maintenance coordination, flight execution, and reporting on all facets of flying systems readiness to the test program.

The Test and Evaluation team at Anduril works across the entire spectrum of products and business lines, as well as all flight operations and test range management. WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Assist with many aspects of aircraft fabrication, assembly, and operation including structural fabrication, mechanical integration (flight control surfaces, propulsion, etc.), composites fabrication, and avionics build/integration/test.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain aircraft and subsystems including landing gear, fuel system, flight control, and propulsion.
• Perform common airframe construction techniques such as utilizing rivets, mechanical fasteners, nut plates, etc.
• Complete aircraft and equipment documentation (maintenance manuals, Check list, Flight logs etc.)
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain site support equipment.
• Communicate mechanical assessment with engineering and production.
• Perform validation and testing of various electronic components using equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and test racks.
• Perform proper FOD and tool control practices.
• Lift and move heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
• Operate fork lifts and pallet jacks.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid A&P license.
• 5 years or more of airframe and power plant experience.
• 3 years or more of missile or rocket system development experience.
• Must have strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with computer use (standard browser, word processing applications).

About The Job

Anduril is seeking an Integration & Test Lead to join the Maneuver Dominance team at our Costa Mesa HQ to lead critical test efforts in developing an advanced airborne platform. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of vertical flight focusing on air vehicle development and integrating mission autonomy to meet the evolving demands of defense capabilities.

You will work on new aircraft development, including propulsion systems, avionics, batteries, mechanisms, structures, sensors and payloads, in a lean, high-ownership culture where you directly shape the product and operate at a velocity to fly new designs.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Lead the use of ‘Test’ as a design tool to support component, system and subsystem maturation from discrete bench tests to production representative Vehicle, Mission and Support Systems
• Develop and sustain highly representative Hardware In Lab (HIL) and Hardware In The Loop (HITL) physical integration environments – capable of ‘flying’ missions
• Focus on the safety of integration environments, ensuring that potential harm of team members can be eliminated by design

• Adept at working safely with high voltage systems, including integration, checkout and test
• Extensive knowledge of electronics/communications/integration troubleshooting and ability to use identify and operate appropriate diagnostics instruments. Experienced in debug of common protocols such as CAN/Ethernet/Serial.
• Experience with Linux and command line interface as well as software debugging
• Practiced in selecting, installing and operating data acquisition systems and specifying sensor types and ranges
• Extensive application of every aspect of the test process from planning to reporting

What you’ll do:

• Support the development of the aircraft’s Landing Gear & Brake Control Systems.
• Support the design, build, and implementation of flight hardware, test stands, procedures and reports, for qualification, certification, and production applications.

ABOUT THE ROLE

GILLIG is seeking motivated, customer focused professionals to travel to our customer’s sites and perform Post Delivery Inspection on new buses to place them in service. You will be trusted to provide detailed reports necessary to resolve bus issues and customer concerns and submit these reports in a timely manner to the Field Service Manager for action on corrective plan. This role is responsible for supporting customers in the Greater Chicago Area but may be required to travel outside that region as needed.

As a Field Service Representative, you will report directly to the Senior Supervisor, Regional Field Services.  You must be extremely customer focused, have a passion for problem solving, and be willing to continuously learn new troubleshooting as well as diagnostic technologies.  An ideal candidate would have a strong, detailed knowledge of commercial vehicles, preferably transit buses.

• Travel to customers’ location in the Greater Chicago Area but may be required to travel outside that region as needed throughout the United States
• Partner with our customers to inspect new buses after delivery and repair or adjust any issues as necessary
• Work with customers to understand concerns about buses in-service of any age and facilitate investigation into root cause and development resolution plan

• Provide driver and mechanic orientations for GILLIG buses

• Assist or perform accident/fire investigations, and assist in or provide photos for investigation, as needed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

$75,000 - $115,000/annual salary + premium benefits

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a motivated, customer-focused professionals to travel to our customer’s sites and perform Post Delivery Inspection on new buses to place them in service. You will be trusted to provide detailed reports necessary to resolve bus issues and customer concerns and submit these reports in a timely manner to the Field Service Manager for action on corrective plan. This role is responsible for supporting customers in the New York State area but may be required to travel outside that region as needed.

As a Field Service Representative, you will report directly to the Regional Manager, Field Services.  You must be extremely customer focused, have a passion for problem solving, and be willing to continuously learn new troubleshooting as well as diagnostic technologies.  An ideal candidate would have a strong, detailed knowledge of commercial vehicles, preferably transit buses.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

• Travel to customers’ location in the New York State area but may be required to travel outside that region as needed throughout the United States
• Partner with our customers to inspect new buses after delivery and repair or adjust any issues as necessary
• Work with customers to understand concerns about buses in-service of any age and facilitate investigation into root cause and development resolution plan
• Diagnose electrical and/or mechanical defects on buses and repair as needed
• Troubleshoot supplier issues and facilitate resolution
• Perform and document failure analysis using field reports, photos as well as failed material analysis
• Act as liaison between customer and factory for resolution of difficult product issues
• Order ship short parts or broken/failed parts as needed to put bus in service
• Assist customer in ordering warranty or replacement parts as needed
• Recommend and authorize warranty repairs or policy adjustments as needed
• Provide driver and mechanic orientations for GILLIG buses
• Communicate plans with customers to resolve issues with repair process or field campaigns as required
• Assist or perform accident/fire investigations, and assist in or provide photos for investigation, as needed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration or equivalent is preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the Commercial Bus Industry
• Read blueprints and electrical schematics
• Ability to mentor and train
• Project management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Proven ability to use computer programs to diagnose bus systems preferred
• Commercial Driver’s license with passenger endorsements
• Lock Out Tag Out certification

We are seeking an experienced Crew Chief to provide maintenance support for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and other related DoD based projects. Zone 5 maintains a weekly flight test cadence at test ranges local to the San Luis Obispo, CA area. In addition, there will be occasional flight test demonstration events at both CONUS and OCONUS locations that will require travel to support. Flight maintenance requires significant time spent outdoors in various weather conditions.

Key Responsibility

• Aircraft Servicing 
  Perform routine pre-flight and post-flight inspections, fueling, Flight Control Rigging, and servicing tasks to ensure aircraft are safe and mission-ready. 
• Packout Support 
  Prepare and transport test equipment, spares, and tools required for flight test operations, both on-site and at remote locations. 
• Vehicle Maintenance 
  Conduct basic maintenance and servicing of support vehicles to ensure reliable ground transportation during test activities. 
• Ground Support Equipment (GSE) 
  Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ground support systems (Aircraft support equipment, towing equipment, etc.) critical to test operations. 
• Camera Equipment Setup & Maintenance 
  Install, configure, and maintain airborne and ground-based camera systems used for flight test data capture. 
• Weight & Balance 
  Assist with aircraft weight and balance calculations, ensuring proper loading for safe and compliant flight operations. 
• Trailer Loading & Weight Distribution 
  Apply proper load distribution practices to trailers during pack out and transport, maintaining safety, balance, and compliance with road regulations. 
• Prepare and execute ground and flight test operations for unmanned aircraft systems, including pre-flight and post-flight inspections. 
• Support integration of avionics, propulsion, payloads, and autonomy systems onto UAV platforms. 
• Operate ground control stations (GCS) and monitor flight telemetry during test missions under engineer or pilot supervision. 
• Perform troubleshooting, corrective maintenance, and hardware swaps during rapid test cycles. 

Qualifications 

Required: 

• Associate’s degree in Aerospace, Avionics, Electrical, or Mechanical Technology, or equivalent hands-on training, or A&P Mechanic’s License 
• 3+ years of experience in UAV operations, Military or General Aviation aircraft service, maintenance, or defense flight test environments,  
• Knowledge of aircraft subsystems: avionics, flight controls, telemetry, propulsion. 
• Familiarity with flight line operations and ground support equipment (GSE). 
• Ability to read and interpret basic wiring diagrams, schematics, and test documentation. 
• Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs and working in outdoor field test conditions. 
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%

Preferred: 

• Experience supporting DoD UAV platforms or autonomous aircraft.
