We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps/Cloud Engineer/SRE with 7+ years of experience to become an integral part of our dynamic DevOps platform team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting cutting-edge AI SaaS and PaaS solutions.

Please note: This position may require participation in an on-call support rotation in the future.

Requirements

Technical Skills:

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent education and experience equating to the US equivalent of a bachelor’s degree.
• SDLC & CI/CD: 5+ years of experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and CI/CD technologies, including hands-on expertise with at least two different CI/CD ecosystems. Optional: We also value experience with MLOps practices and their integration into CI/CD pipelines.

• Database Management: Strong experience with PostgreSQL.
• Troubleshooting: Proven ability to effectively troubleshoot issues across code, cloud infrastructure, networks, and operating systems.
• AI-Specific Technologies (Preferred): Given our focus on AI solutions, experience with MLOps, Nvidia NIM and relevant Nvidia certifications would be a significant asset.

Observability: 5+ years of experience working with observability tools, and defining

About the Role: 

We are seeking a technically strong, hands-on Senior Database Reliability Engineer to help design, build, and scale the database platform used across Sezzle’s applications.

This is not a traditional DBA role. This role is for an engineer who can combine deep database knowledge with software engineering, infrastructure engineering, and platform thinking. You will help build the systems, libraries, automation, standards, and guardrails that make database usage across Sezzle reliable, secure, scalable, and easy for developers to adopt correctly.

As a Senior Database Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for improving how Sezzle applications connect to, migrate, operate, observe, and scale their databases. You will work across application teams, infrastructure, security, and engineering leadership to define patterns that improve database reliability by design — not just by operational response.

You should be comfortable owning problems end-to-end: understanding application behavior, reading code, reviewing database access patterns, building shared tooling, improving connection management, designing migration safety checks, analyzing production performance, and helping developers use databases in safer and more scalable ways.

• Create and maintain high-signal dashboards, alerts, SLOs, SLIs, runbooks, and operational readiness checks for database-backed services.
• Drive improvements in database backup validation, restore testing, disaster recovery, failover readiness, and business continuity.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of hands-on database administration or database engineering; not theoretical
• Deep PostgreSQL expertise: replication, vacuum tuning, connection pooling (PgBouncer/PgCat), index strategy, major version upgrades

We are hiring a Tech Lead / Software Engineer Manager to our Darwin | CXTech team in Brazil! This is a Remote – Brazil position, meaning you can work from anywhere within the country. Please note that this role is only open to candidates in Brazil. 

The Darwin team is responsible for the central nervous system of our company. We build and maintain the internal backoffice ecosystem that empowers our operations teams to scale. • Emerging Products. Create new services to enable our Claims team to process a larger volume of complex claims across many different insurance lines. Use AI to rapidly prototype and iterate on solutions.
• Dev experience first. Work with engineering leaders to create an amazing remote dev experience. At the BASE Focus Area, we build the core of the Wellhub business model. Our mission is to create a truly scalable platform capable of supporting tens of millions of active users and clients worldwide, ensuring high availability while remaining flexible and extensible to support new business models.

Our team is responsible for the Marketplace Value Management Systems, which optimize the value delivered through the marketplace for both users and clients while maintaining healthy margins for Wellhub. We build sophisticated tools, services, and data pipelines that power critical marketplace capabilities, including pricing, plans, usage restrictions, product allocations, partner offers, and bulk client operations.

From a technical perspective, we focus on designing highly scalable and reliable systems capable of handling large volumes of data and traffic. THE OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring a Staff Software Engineer to our Fraud & Prevention team in Brazil! This is a Remote – Brazil position, meaning you can work from anywhere within the country. Please note that this role is only open to candidates in Brazil. 

Our team is responsible for identifying, preventing, and removing fraudulent actors from Wellhub. We work closely with all teams inside Wellhub to identify potential fraud vectors and the actions to take in order to prevent and/or remove those fraudulent actors.

• Collaborate with a cross functional team spanning operation, product management, and engineering to build new technologies and features;
• Build production systems that prevent fraud from happening;
• Help to prototype, implement and productionize new anti fraud solutions at scale;
• Ensure successful deliveries, and promote the long-term technical health of our journeys;
• Ensure a high bar on code quality standards, making sure developers are proud of their work;
• Apply development best practices;
• Take part in incident resolution and troubleshooting in the production environment;
• Take ownership of critical features, be accountable, and possess a high level of ownership by following up on engineering SLOs and product KPIs;
• Interact with the product team and stakeholders to impact the business;
• Mentor other engineers;

WHO YOU ARE

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent practical experience;
• Proactive learner eager to master new technologies and resolve challenging technical issues;
• Experience in developing RESTful web services;
• Experience with Java or Kotlin;
• Nice to have experience with Golang;
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL technology (such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB), understanding common use cases and performance pitfalls;
• Experience dealing with event-driven architectures and message brokers (such as KAFKA, AWS SQS, AWS SNS, etc.) understanding of their use cases and pitfalls:
• Experience applying computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis;
• Experience with microservices and high-volume distributed systems;
• Experience with Cloud-based architectures (AWS experience is nice to have);
• A true team player who loves working towards both team and individual goals with years of experience in web development.Strong communication skills, including verbal and written English and Portuguese.
