What you’ll do

As an Intermediate Frontend Engineer, you will be working across the entire Brex stack, creating and maintaining new products, features, and building tools to help scale Brex. You will have the opportunity to learn and push the frontier of providing the best financial software experience to help companies grow. You’ll be encouraged to be metric and data-driven and to think creatively to help Brex scale and get prepared for the new markets we are about to enter. We’re looking for folks with not only an interest in building products and tools but also interested in leading multi-functional projects with lots of moving pieces. Where you’ll work

This role will be based in our São Paulo office. We are a hybrid environment that combines the energy and connections of being in the office with the benefits and flexibility of working from home. We currently require a minimum of two coordinated days in the office per week, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. As a perk, we also have up to four weeks per year of fully remote work! 

Responsibilities

• Work with engineers across the company to build new features and products.
• Work side-by-side with user facing teams (Sales, Support) to best understand the needs of our customers. 
• Design and implement experiments to improve our customer’s experiences.
• Own problems end-to-end, thinking through everything from user experience, data models, scalability, operability and ongoing metrics.

The Product Security Engineer performs all processes and procedures necessary to ensure the safety of KnowBe4 applications and cloud environments. In addition, the primary responsibility is to protect the privacy, confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company and customer data by conducting security assessments, triaging security findings and having a proactive approach in assisting the IT and engineering teams to develop secure applications and secure our cloud environments.

The role  

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with a strong background in data engineering, ideally with hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Pub/Sub, Dataflow, and BigQuery. The ideal candidate will have solid proficiency in SQL and Python, along with familiarity in moving and transforming data across cloud-based data zones and streaming pipelines (ETL/ELT). Comfort with cloud services, data management, automation tools, and real-time data processing is essential.

• Demonstrate deep knowledge of the data engineering domain to build and support non-interactive (batch, distributed) & real-time, highly available data pipelines  
• Build fault-tolerant, self-healing, adaptive, and highly accurate data computational pipelines

• Tune queries running over billions of rows of data running in a distributed query engine

• Build and monitor data quality gates (Great Expectations and reconciliation checks) and freshness SLOs.

• Strong expertise in:   
  • Python - for building data pipelines, processing tasks, and automation

  • Looker Core – Advanced proficiency in LookML (not just drag-and-drop), including derived tables, explores, and Liquid syntax.  
  • Semantic Modeling: Develop robust LookML models to create a trusted layer of data governance, ensuring metrics are consistent across the organization.  
  • Dashboard Creation: Design intuitive, high-impact dashboards in Looker for two distinct audiences: Operational teams (paid search performance monitoring, anomaly triage, and optimization workflows) and Executives (ROAS, conversion efficiency, budget pacing, and channel contribution reporting). 
• Ability to independently own workstreams while collaborating closely with data science, analytics, and engineering peers in agile delivery.

Responsabilidades:

• Implementar e otimizar LLM Agents e fluxos de raciocínio orientados por IA.

• Desenvolver e manter serviços de backend que suportem aplicações GenAI.

• Criar, testar e aprimorar prompts e estratégias de prompt engineering para diferentes cenários de uso.

• Integrar lógica de grounding com estruturas e bancos de dados de grafos.

• Colaborar com engenheiros de grafos na modelagem, ingestão e utilização de dados gráficos.

• Contribuir para a evolução do POC do GenAI PRT Tool, garantindo escalabilidade, performance e qualidade técnica.

• Participar de discussões arquiteturais e de design de soluções envolvendo IA generativa.

Requisitos:

• Experiência com modelos de linguagem (LLMs) e desenvolvimento de agentes inteligentes.

• Habilidade prática com prompt engineering.

• Sólidos conhecimentos em desenvolvimento backend (Python, Node.js, Java, ou similar).

• Experiência com graph databases ou frameworks de grafos (Neo4j, AWS Neptune, GraphQL Federation, etc.) é altamente desejável.

• Entendimento de arquiteturas modernas de IA, pipelines de dados e integração de APIs.

• Capacidade de trabalhar em ambiente colaborativo e orientado a POC/MVP.

• Graduação em Ti ou áreas correlatas.
• Inglês avançado.
