Your Mission
As a Senior Frontend Engineer on Bitpanda’s flagship B2C platform, you’ll shape one of Europe’s fastest-growing investing and trading experiences. You’ll craft highly-performant, secure, and scalable web surfaces that bring everything from everyday investing to advanced crypto trading to life. Your work will touch millions of users, turning complex financial products into experiences that feel simple, fast, and trustworthy, while giving you the opportunity to leave a mark on the future of finance.
- Own the stability and maintenance of our existing, high-impact web applications using primarily Angular and TypeScript.
- Dive deep into an established codebase to troubleshoot complex bugs, resolve vulnerability issues, and apply pragmatic solutions.
- Support gradual internal codebase migrations while keeping core business operations running smoothly.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend engineers to ensure top-notch reliability, security, and performance across critical existing user flows.
Who you are
- 6+ years of professional web engineering experience, with deep, hands-on expertise in Angular and TypeScript.
- A pragmatic "firefighter" and problem solver: You are highly comfortable working with, debugging, and stabilizing legacy or complex existing codebases rather than strictly building new architecture from scratch.
- Able to turn ambiguous product and UX requirements into clear, scalable technical solutions.
- Comfortable using modern developer tools, including AI-assisted workflows, to quickly understand, document, and safely update existing systems.
- Hands-on with frontend testing frameworks in an Angular ecosystem, with a strong understanding of maintaining reliable test suites to prevent regressions.

We have over 400 engineers across Monzo who design and build our in-house banking platform. We have big ambitions for the future, and technology plays a big role in creating a bank our customers want, so engineers at Monzo collaborate across disciplines to solve interesting challenges throughout the company.

Your day-to-day
This role is all about collaborating with your team to make a difference to your customers. As a web engineer you’ll work in a squad alongside other disciplines like product managers, marketers, user researchers, designers, mobile engineers, web engineers, data analysts, business analysts, writers and more!
Together you’ll build and support a particular part of Monzo. Our squads belong to our wider collectives (a word we use to describe self-governing business units of ~100 people). They are; Core Banking, Business Banking, Wealth, Borrowing, Growth, Payments, Platform, Fincrime, Security & Expansion.
🔑You’ll play a key role by...
- Working closely with designers to iterate and improve on the user experience (UX) of the web banking platform, building accessible and intuitive interfaces.
- Actively contributing to every stage in the product development lifecycle within your team, and owning the development of new features from start to finish.
- Working closely with our backend engineers to design APIs to support new frontend features.
- Collaborating with other web engineers to add brand-new features to the Payments Acquiring web platform.

What You Will Do
We are looking for a Engineering Manager (Web Platform) to lead a team of engineers with a strong focus on modern web development stacks to help build and maintain the backend for our Game LiveOps platform. In this role, you’ll work closely with product teams, designers, and other disciplines to deliver high-performance tools and features that support real-time operations and engaging gameplay experiences.
- Leadership: Lead a high performing team of fullstack engineers by proposing and implementing improvements to the development processes, workflows and tools, to increase efficiency, quality and throughput.
- Collaboration: Work with Production and Product Owners to own the development cycle and identify the engineering tasks and processes needed to complete the roadmap. Maintain positive working relationships with technology teams within Scopely to improve the use of shared technologies.
- Communication: Facilitate communication both within and across disciplines. Facilitate and encourage the sharing of technical knowledge and code between projects.
- Growth: Participate in activities of recruitment, onboarding, development and professional training of the team. Define clear objectives to direct reports.
- LiveOps & Live Services: Lead the Development of features that support live game operations, empowering our designers and operators with real-time control and insights.
- Scalable Solutions: Lead the design and implementation of high-performance, low-latency web services in a cloud environment (AWS preferred) that can handle millions of players.
- Automation & Best Practices: Contribute to CI/CD pipelines design and implementation of automated tests to ensure high standards of code quality and maintainability.
- Technical Guidance: Lead code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture planning to ensure best practices and continuous improvement of the engineering practices.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: professional experience as senior software engineer, with a strong foundation in programming and web development and with relevant experience in a team leadership role
- Leadership: track record of working in complex products (games is a bonus), leading initiatives from 0 to 1 with high degree of collaboration and quality with cross functional teams and multiple teams working on the same product and the same roadmap
- Backend Proficiency: hands-on experience in modern backend languages (Python strongly preferred; Go or C# also a plus).
- Web Technologies: Solid experience in the development of RESTful services and modern web frameworks (Vue.js or Angular preferred). Experience with JavaScript (ES6), TypeScript, and CSS preprocessors (e.g., SCSS) is essential
- Database Expertise: experience with relational databases (MySQL/Postgres) and caching solutions (Redis), as well as other NoSQL databases like DynamoDB
- Cloud & Containers: Professional experience with containerized solutions (Docker, AWS ECS, Kubernetes) in a public cloud environment (AWS preferred). Infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) is a bonus.
- Automation & CI/CD: experience with setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, and load testing for robust production deployments.
- Engineering Best Practices: Committed to enforce and practice clean, maintainable, and testable code, with an emphasis on performance and scalability.

Position Overview
Come join our team at Zynga making an impact across all of the company’s games - Mobile Game Tech (MGT)! . As a Software Architect in this team, you will be responsible for the technical vision, design and implementation of backend services that power our games at scale. We’re looking for outstanding engineers with a passion for technology and the desire to work in a team with dynamic strengths. The Architect will play a key role as part of the MGT Organization, focusing on advanced technology developments for building scalable end-to-end products which can be integrated into the various games.
Main Responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable, high-performance backend applications and services running on AWS, ensuring reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
- Analyze and optimize system resources to improve efficiency, scalability, and stability across distributed services.
- Drive technical innovation by evaluating, advocating, and implementing new technologies, tools, and engineering standards across the team.
- Provide technical leadership by reviewing and guiding detailed designs, ensuring alignment with Zynga’s long-term technical vision and best practices.
- Develop and document architectural blueprints, system design plans, and implementation strategies for complex projects.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and operations teams to translate product and customer requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Establish and monitor engineering processes, quality metrics, and operational KPIs to improve software delivery and system reliability.
- Mentor and coach engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
- 8+ years of professional experience in software development of cloud based software
- Experience programming RESTful services using GoLang (preferred), Java, Python or PHP
- Strong familiarity and experience using AWS and/or other cloud computing platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
- Experience with containers and Kubernetes/EKS
- Experience with database systems (SQL, NoSQL)
- Deep understanding of algorithms, design patterns, debugging and performance optimization
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with senior leadership with confidence and clarity
- Familiarity with web development using JS, Angular and React is a plus

About the role
What are we looking for: Senior Software Engineer (Backend Platform)
Location: Spain
With outstanding software development talent proven by great work results and experience. Somebody that cares about code quality and not just get things done, but get things done right.
- You'll work as part of an agile, cross functional team with other high skilled software engineers, together with the product designers.
- You will create production grade code and will implement solutions designed to handle high levels of traffic.
- Mentor other team members through code reviews, sessions of architecture design and pair programming.
- You will be mentored by other team members on the areas you have less expertise.
During your first month at Fever (Onboarding period):
You’ll join a structured onboarding program designed to help you ramp up smoothly. During this period, you will:
- Meet your buddy and team, and get to know Fever’s culture and ways of working.
- Set up your local environment and become familiar with our Python-based stack, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
- Learn about our architecture and observability tools while contributing small improvements and fixes.
- Have your first code running in production and a clear understanding of our delivery flow and processes.
- By the end of the onboarding, you’ll be ready to join your long-term squad and start contributing to larger initiatives.
After 3 months at Fever:

Requirements:
- You are proficient in business English
