What You’ll Do:  

• Collaborating with the client and production team members to understand needs, review scripts, design storyboards, and create and edit animations 

• Using software and other techniques to produce animations 

• Listening to feedback and altering animations to better suit client needs 

• Ensuring that the final product aligns with the needs of the client and is delivered on time without exceeding the budget 

• Presenting the final animated piece to clients for their approval 

• Using creativity and artistic techniques to tell a story or provide information in visual form 

• Researching industry trends and developments and learning new applications 

• Effectively manages multiple project requests 

• Able to understand the strategic thinking that has gone into a brief, debate and contribute to it 

• Ability to sell creative concepts and executions internally 

• Builds strong relationships with Account Management, Planning & Traffic 

• Presents ideas clearly, succinctly and passionately 

• Ability to deal effectively with clients on a day-to-day level 

• Ability to display meticulously well designed animation 

• Good knowledge of creative formats (above and below the line) 

Responsibilities: 

• You will be an expert animator with a passion for design, aesthetic and craft. 

• You are disciplined and artistic with a firm grasp on animation techniques, fundamentals, and software. 

• You will read through scripts and speak with clients to understand project needs, create storyboards and animations, and assist in the editing process. 

• You should be collaborative, knowledgeable, and reliable. 

• To be a successful Animator with Ogilvy, you should be adaptable, creative, and receptive to direction. 

• You should have strong communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.

What You’ll Need: 

• Bachelor's degree or certificate in computer animation, fine arts, graphic design, or related field 

• More education, experience, or proficiency with specific animation software platforms may be preferred 

• Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and computer skills 

• Understanding of animation, storytelling, and character development techniques 

• Attention to detail, adaptability, and receptiveness to feedback and direction 

• Ability to work independently or with a team to develop animations and solve problems 

• Courage: Shows bravery in making decisions, and stands by values and beliefs

What You’ll Do: 

Creative Execution & Conceptualization: 

• Take the lead in conceptualizing a campaign, site or other digital solution. 

• Establish visual style and user experiences that will effectively communicate with target and fulfill project objectives. 

• Be responsible for the proper placement, context and meaning of every visual element within a creative assignment. 

• Assist CDs, PMs, and Producers in commissioning and managing outside illustrators, photographers, comp artists, directors, talent, etc. 

• Assist creative lead in presenting work to client. 

• Participate in brainstorms as required. 

• Assist in developing concepts and presentation materials for business development projects. 

• Assist or stand in for CD in presenting work to client. 

Collaboration & Communication: 

• Collaborate and communicate regularly with Client Service counterparts. 

• Collaborate with other creative staff to share learning and experience and to establish initiatives that will improve Ogilvy's creative product. 

• Partner with Account, Media, Project Management and Production counterparts to enhance quality, productivity, and profitability of the group's work. 

Responsibilities: 

• Show initiative in growing allocated tasks/campaigns beyond what's expected. 

• Be in touch with both the "big picture" and the nitty-gritty details of a project or campaign. 

• Work daily with the Project Manager to ensure all deliverables and deadlines are met within budget. 

• Proactively seek approvals from CD (as required on a project-by-project basis) on all work before delivery to Account or Client. 

• Stay current with industry/advertising trends, and apply them strategically. 

• Contribute to overall office morale, spirit, character and work quality. 

• Be respectful of others and enjoyable to work with.
