What we do and why we do it
As the leading end-to-end investment platform for single-family rental homes (SFR), our mission is to reinvent the rental housing ecosystem for the benefit of all. We successfully merge our passion for helping investors build wealth through real estate with cutting edge technology that transforms the way they do it.
How it’s going (and growing)
With a talented team of 750+ Roofsters, our collaborative, can-do culture is what fuels our growth. In 2022, we closed on our Series E, raising $240 million, and have offices in the Bay Area and New York City. Our growth includes recent acquisitions of Stessa (financial and asset management software), RentPrep (tenant screening and placement service for landlords), and Mynd (property management platform for both Retail and Institutional investors). In 2025, Roofstock took an ownership stake in Casago (short-term rental management services), expanding our platform to support both long-term and short-term rental investment services.
About the Role
The role of the Property Manager is to provide excellent service to our investors. You will become intimately familiar with the unique operating procedures of your portfolio, execute at the highest level and ensure that the portfolio is performing optimally. You are a high performer and will manage the resolution of complex and ever-changing challenges while accurately managing expectations. Adaptability, high attention to detail and impeccable communication are a given. Your portfolio will grow rapidly and across state lines and it’s incumbent upon you to exercise extreme ownership in all areas of the business, including leasing, R&M, resident services, and accounting to ensure everything goes smoothly. You will work collaboratively with, and act as a liaison between, the investor and the rest of the Roofstock organization, partnering with other departments and product as needed. This role has the support of the entire Roofstock team and is critical to our growth strategy.

Who is Scion?
At The Scion Group, we’re changing what student housing means. It’s bigger than beds and buildings. It’s about providing unique experiences and creating communities — both on and off campus — that feel less like a place and more like a home. As one of North America’s leading owners, operators and advisors of student housing, we are defining the future of student living.
Taking the student housing industry by storm starts by surrounding yourself with the right people. We want trail blazers and risk takers. Go-getters and game changers. We want dreamers and doers. From operations to accounting, advisory to finance, we’re building a team to help us take student living to the next level.
At Scion, we don’t just lead the way, we Make Way. How do we do it? We know we’re far from perfect and we’re relentless in finding ways to better ourselves. You'll come to find out that Make Way is a call to action to pave your own path and to lead, not follow. It’s what sets Scion apart and secures our spot as one of the fastest growing, industry-leading companies.
