Core Responsibilities

• Monitor multiple European power markets (CWE, Eastern Europe, UK & Nordics) and the relevant supply and demand factors
• Be an active part of the trading team and participate in shift rotation (evenings and weekends) to catch market opportunities
• Execute trades based on quantitative signals and/or discretionary insights 
• Contribute to a shared proprietary trading book
• Ensure nominations and scheduling are carried out correctly
• Develop into a domain expert within the relevant markets and products 
• Drive innovation in trading strategies 
• Support training of new joiners on the desk

Skills and Experience

• Strong academic background, preferably in a quantitative field
• 2+ years of professional experience in trading intraday power in Europe, preferably at a proprietary trading desk
• Proven track record of P&L ownership 
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a healthy risk appetite, competitive nature, and fast decision-making capabilities
• Strong analytical and modelling skills, preferably in Python
• Fluency in English

• 2+ years of experience developing quantitative models, ML-driven signals, or trading strategies in financial futures markets, preferably within energy

Your Core Responsibilities:

• Build, as part of a team, a full technology stack that supports power and gas trading, including exchange connectivity, trading systems, trading strategies, data analysis, and pricing. We are looking for strong developers that specialised in back-end, algorithms, trading systems, execution systems or other relevant domains
• Maintain and improve the tech stack in collaboration with trading

Your Skills and Experience:

• Strong academic background, preferably in computer science or a quantitative field
• 2+ years of professional experience as a software engineer
• Experience European power and gas trading industry is a plus
• Strong programming skills in Java. Experience with other relevant programming languages such as Python or C++ is considered a plus
• Excitement for working in a start-up environment and a variety of systems/platforms/tools
• The ability able to work on greenfield projects under minimal supervision and to take full ownership of the applications you build
• A high degree of flexibility and adaptability: willing and able to deal with uncertainty and ambiguity in a rapidly evolving environment
• Fluency in English

Your Core Responsibilities: 

As a Recruiter at IMC in Aarhus, you will play a key role in scaling our fast-growing Power and Gas Trading business by identifying, attracting, and hiring top-tier talent across Trading, Quantitative Research, Technology and Operations. You will work closely with hiring managers and the broader HR team to drive a world-class candidate experience and contribute to building a premier team. Here’s what you will work on:

• Take full ownership of the end-to-end recruitment process for Trading, Quantitative Analyses, and Technology roles, as well as occasional Business Operations roles.
• Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies to engage passive talent in the Power and Gas Trading ecosystem (including managing agency relationships).
• Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and shape the recruitment process to their needs.
• Participate in campus events when needed.
• Consult with and advise stakeholders on both strategic and tactical hiring needs, sharing insights on results and overall job market trends.
• Represent IMC’s culture and values throughout all candidate touchpoints.
• Maintain candidate pipelines, manage ATS administration and scheduling, and ensure a high-quality candidate experience.

Your Skills and Experience: 

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in recruiting for a Power and/or Gas Trading company is a plus
• Excellent sourcing and candidate engagement skills, particularly in competitive markets.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, data-driven environment.
• Exposure to international hiring practices and remote team dynamics is a plus.
• Experience optimizing ATS workflows and reporting functionality is an advantage (we use Greenhouse).
