Location: Norway, Oslo (Hybrid)

Role Overview

Autodesk is looking for a Workplace Manager to lead our Workplace team and operations in our Oslo office.

This is an opportunity to shape an inclusive, welcoming and high-performing workplace where people can do their best work. You will combine hands-on operational leadership with strategic thinking, taking responsibility for the day-to-day workplace experience while partnering with regional leaders to continuously improve how our workplace services are delivered.

You will lead the local Workplace team, manage key vendors and contractors, oversee workplace budgets and projects, and ensure our Oslo office operates safely, efficiently and in accordance with Autodesk standards and applicable Norwegian requirements.

Success in this role is as much about people as it is about facilities. You will build trusted relationships across the office, listen to employee needs and bring together internal teams and external partners to create a workplace that is safe, inclusive, sustainable and enjoyable to use.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of Autodesk's Oslo workplace, creating a safe, welcoming, inclusive and efficient environment for employees and visitors

  • Lead, coach and develop the local Workplace team, including Workplace Coordinators and Reception team members, setting clear objectives and supporting professional development

  • Build strong relationships with employees and local leadership, proactively communicating workplace updates, projects, service changes and operational priorities

  • Partner with the Site Leader, regional Workplace leadership, HR, IT/ESE, Security, Finance, Procurement, Legal and other teams to deliver seamless workplace services

  • Manage workplace vendors and contractors, including service performance and contracts, in partnership with Procurement, Legal and Finance

  • Manage workplace operating budgets and expenditure, supporting effective planning, forecasting and financial oversight

  • Use workplace data and KPIs to understand how the office is performing and identify opportunities to improve services, employee experience and space utilisation

  • Manage workplace systems and services, including HVAC, utilities, lighting, security, fire-safety systems and other building infrastructure, working with qualified service providers as appropriate

  • Support the team with meeting-room and workplace technology, including basic troubleshooting and coordination with technical support teams when required

  • Ensure workplace operations comply with applicable health, safety and workplace requirements, Autodesk standards and established procedures.

  • Coordinate local emergency preparedness, business continuity and recovery activities in partnership with relevant Autodesk teams

  • Maintain accurate workplace documentation, including floor plans, facilities records and relevant building information

  • Lead local workplace improvements and sustainability initiatives and support relocations, construction and larger workplace projects

  • Track maintenance, repairs and workplace assets using Autodesk's designated tools and systems

  • Provide occasional support for business-critical workplace incidents or planned maintenance outside normal office hours where required, in accordance with applicable working-time requirements and Autodesk policies

  • Contribute to regional Workplace initiatives and provide appropriate support to regional Workplace leadership when needed

Minimum qualifications

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in Workplace, Facilities, Office Operations or a related field, with experience taking ownership of workplace services or facilities operations

  • Experience coordinating vendors, budgets and workplace or facilities projects

  • Experience leading, coaching or coordinating people and building a collaborative, service-oriented team environment

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, leaders, vendors and cross-functional partners

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance operational priorities and respond effectively when circumstances change

  • Working knowledge of workplace health, safety and facilities practices, with the ability to work with specialist partners where required

  • Comfortable using common workplace productivity tools, including Microsoft 365

  • Professional Norwegian and English proficiency, both written and verbal

  • Ability to provide occasional support outside normal working hours when genuinely required for business-critical maintenance, projects or workplace incidents, subject to applicable Norwegian working-time requirements and Autodesk policies

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience working in a multinational, technology or similarly complex corporate environment

  • Experience with workplace sustainability, space planning, relocations or office improvement projects

  • Familiarity with building systems, workplace technology or Audio-Visual environments

  • We welcome different professional backgrounds and career paths. If your experience does not match every preferred qualification but you believe you can contribute to the role, we encourage you to apply
