About this Warranty & Asset Manager role at NexGen Cloud
ABOUT NEXGEN CLOUD
NexGen Cloud is the company behind Hyperstack, a full-stack AI cloud serving tens of thousands of customers from AI researchers to enterprises running the world's most compute-intensive workloads. We deliver on-demand and private GPU infrastructure to teams who treat performance as a requirement, not a feature.
We're a tight-knit, fast-moving team working at the cutting edge of AI cloud infrastructure. We practice what we preach, equipping our people with AI at every level so we can solve harder problems, ship faster, and keep raising the bar for what enterprise GPU infrastructure looks like.
THE ROLE: WARRANTY & ASSET MANAGER
NexGen Cloud operates a growing fleet of high-value GPU and server hardware across multiple sites, and the complexity of managing warranties, RMA processes, spares logistics, and vendor SLA compliance is growing with it — work that's currently absorbed across infrastructure and operations teams without dedicated ownership. You'll have direct ownership over the entire asset and warranty lifecycle: processing claims, running vendor relationships, and driving strategic spares and parts positioning.
This is a high-volume, high-stakes operational role — you'll be tracking hundreds of simultaneous claims and asset movements, and chasing vendors hard when SLAs are at risk. As NexGen's hardware estate scales, this role is expected to grow into a team, giving you the chance to build and define the function from an early stage.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Rather than a long checklist, here's what success in this role looks like:
- Own the end-to-end warranty and RMA process across all sites — from fault identification through vendor claims to resolution
- Chase hardware vendors hard to hold them to agreed SLAs, escalating proactively before turnaround times are breached
- Build and maintain accurate, up-to-date asset tracking across all sites using tooling such as Jira
- Manage strategic spares inventory — spotting failure-rate patterns and forward-positioning critical components at the sites that need them
- Coordinate with Site Operations Leads and Infrastructure Engineering to keep hardware movements and diagnostics flowing without bottlenecks
- Report on claim status, vendor performance, and asset movements to the Head of Infrastructure
- Lay the groundwork to build and lead a team as the asset and warranty function scales
ABOUT YOU
We're more interested in how you think and work than in a perfect CV. You'll likely bring a combination of the following:
Essential
- Hands-on warranty and RMA management experience — you've actively processed hardware warranty claims and managed vendor relationships through to resolution; strategic asset management experience alone is not sufficient
- A technical understanding of IT hardware — you know what a GPU, power supply, RAM, transceiver, and network switch are, and why each matters in context (GPU specialisation not required)
- Highly organised at volume — able to manage hundreds of simultaneous warranty claims and asset movements without losing track, with strong use of ticketing and tracking tools
- An assertive, proactive communicator, willing and able to chase vendors hard when SLAs are missed
- Strategic inventory thinking — able to identify spares patterns, anticipate requirements, and proactively manage stock positioning across multiple sites
Nice to Have
- Background as a hardware or IT asset manager in a large infrastructure environment, or a spares/warranty manager in telco, electronics, or IT hardware
- Experience transitioning from a systems or technical operations engineering role into asset/logistics ownership● Experience building or scaling a team as a function grows
WHAT WE OFFER
- Competitive salary and annual discretionary bonus scheme
- Private Medical Insurance
- Employee wellbeing benefits
- 25 days of holiday, plus public holidays
- Remote-first working, with flexibility to match occasional site travel
- Real ownership and autonomy — the chance to build a function from the ground up
- The opportunity to make a visible, meaningful impact as we scale
- Clear career progression and growth opportunities in a fast-growing company
- A collaborative, international culture built on trust, transparency, and ownership
- The chance to help shape NexGen Cloud's team, culture, and future alongside ambitious, mission-driven colleagues
