The Role

This is a newly created role and a strategic new initiative for the organization. The Vice President of Finance will help design the future of the finance organization from the ground up and play a leading role in the company's expansion into the US market. As a senior leader within the Management Services Organization (MSO), sitting at the group/holdco level and partnering closely with executive leadership to drive the financial strategy, leadership, and performance of the platform and its affiliated legal entities, this role provides senior finance leadership across a multi-entity structure. The VP of Finance owns capital and cash management, lender relationships, acquisition financing, and management reporting, and builds and leads the finance team as the organization scales. Working cross-functionally with operations, legal, and practice leadership, the VP of Finance helps prepare the organization for growth, including the integration of firms and support of investor and lender reporting.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a strategic finance partner to executive leadership, providing analysis and recommendations that shape platform strategy, resource allocation, and profitability.

  • Design and build the future of the finance organization, including its structure, systems, processes, and team, as a newly created leadership role.

  • Serve as a key finance leader for the company's expansion into the US, partnering on market entry, entity setup, and the financial infrastructure needed to scale.

  • Own the annual budgeting process and the ongoing forecasting cycle across the MSO and its affiliated law firm entities, including consolidated and entity-level views.

  • Develop and monitor KPIs and management dashboards that give leadership clear visibility into performance across practice areas, locations, and entities.

  • Oversee cash flow forecasting, working capital, and liquidity management across a multi-entity structure.

  • Support capital allocation decisions, business-case development, and return analysis for new investments, hiring, and expansion.

  • Partner on M&A activity, including financial diligence, valuation support, integration planning, and post-close performance tracking of acquired firms.

  • Prepare and present financial results, variance analysis, and forward-looking outlooks to executive leadership, the board, investors, and lenders.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the company's lender(s), owning the day-to-day relationship, lender reporting, covenant compliance, and information requests.

  • Lead lender engagement on new MSO acquisitions, including financing and drawdown requests, diligence support, and reporting required to fund and close deals.

  • Partner with the Controller and accounting team to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting and to strengthen internal controls and financial processes.

  • Help design and scale the finance function, systems, and reporting infrastructure to support rapid growth and increasing complexity.

  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, tools, and data quality across the organization.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including several years in a senior finance leadership role (e.g., VP of Finance, Finance Director, or comparable).

  • Experience within a Management Services Organization (MSO) or comparable multi-entity professional-services platform is a top priority for this role.

  • Proven ability to build, lead, and scale a finance function and team in a multi-entity, high-growth environment.

  • Experience owning lender relationships, capital and cash management, and acquisition financing.

  • Strong command of financial statements and management reporting, with sound business judgment and the ability to turn financial insight into decisions.

  • Experience partnering with executive leadership and presenting to boards, investors, and lenders.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
