Position Summary

The Visual Communications Specialist is a newly created role within AWC’s growing Marketing team, supporting the Marketing Manager by producing high-quality graphic design, digital/web, photography, and video content that strengthens AWC's brand across proposals, marketing campaigns, and company platforms. This role works primarily in the office, with time spent on job sites and at events capturing and creating content that showcases our people and projects.

Position Description

• Design and produce PowerPoint presentations, brochures, flyers, advertisements, and other marketing collateral in support of proposals and business development
• Plan, shoot, and edit photography and video, including staff, project, jobsite, and event content, for use in marketing materials and social media
• Develop and execute marketing campaigns across digital and print channels, including social media graphics and short-form video content
• Design, update, and maintain company and project websites, ensuring content and branding remain current and consistent
• Serve as AWC's brand champion, ensuring visual and messaging consistency across all internal and external marketing materials
• Vectorize and prepare artwork and logos for print, signage, and vehicle branding applications
• Design vehicle branding/wraps, event medals, awards, and other branded materials
• Support proposal development with layout, graphics, and production of RFP/RFQ materials as needed
• Coordinate with vendors for printing, signage, promotional items, and production services as needed
• Organize and manage marketing assets, including photos, videos, and digital files

What You'll Bring

• 3–5 years of experience in graphic design, digital/web content, photography, and video production
• A professional portfolio showcasing a minimum of 10 completed projects across graphic design, digital/web, photography, and video work
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, and Photoshop
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
• A self-starting mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Professional, team-oriented approach with strong interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, digital media, film/video production, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience with WordPress, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and/or After Effects
• Experience supporting proposals, presentations, or business development efforts
• Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction (AEC) industry is a plus
