About this Tier 3 Unified Communications Engineer (5491) (TS/SCI) (Ft. Bragg, NC) role at SMX
SMX is seeking a Tier 3 Unified Communications Engineer to provide Tier 3 engineering, administration, sustainment, and troubleshooting for Unified Communications, VTC, and conference room capabilities supporting classified and unclassified environments. The successful candidate will ensure secure, reliable collaboration services for Government mission operations.
This is a full-time onsite position in Ft. Bragg, NC.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Engineer, configure, operate, and maintain Cisco/Tandberg VTC and Unified Communications systems.
- Provide Tier 3 troubleshooting, fault isolation, and root-cause analysis.
- Schedule and support executive-level VTC sessions and conference services.
- Develop SOPs, conduct site surveys, and recommend technical improvements.
- Perform asset accountability, lifecycle management, and system security functions.
- Support multi-classification VTC environments and bridge operations.
- Train end users and IT staff on supported capabilities.
Required Skills, Experience & Education
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).
- 12–15 years of relevant experience.
- Security+ (IAT Level II) or equivalent.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Experience with Cisco/Tandberg codecs, networking, and Microsoft Office.
Desired Skills/Experience
- Army Intel experience.
