Primary Job Summary:

The Testing and Quality Control Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating testing, validation, and quality control activities for industrial and commercial chillers, ensuring compliance with performance specifications, safety standards, and client requirements. The role leads a team of testing and QC engineers/technicians, supervises performance testing and inspections, and coordinates with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve issues and maintain product quality. The position also ensures compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and industry standards such as AHRI and ASHRAE, while driving continuous improvement across testing and quality processes.

Duties and responsibilities:

This role includes

Chiller Testing & Commissioning

  • Supervise testing of chiller units and daily operations in the testing area to ensure compliance with performance standards, including analysis of temperature, pressure, and electrical parameters. Prepare testing files and documentation according to company guidelines, ensuring all procedures meet required quality and performance standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and installation teams to troubleshoot issues during the testing phase and review product specifications, test procedures, and technical documentation. Ensure chillers are tested according to relevant standards (e.g., AHRI 550/590), overseeing test setups, instrumentation calibration, safety checks, and the proper operation of test equipment and benches.
  • Monitor and validate testing parameters: Chilled water temperatures and flow rates, Refrigerant pressures, Compressor performance, Electrical power consumption, COP/EER calculations. Ensure data is accurately collected, analyzed, and documented. Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for performance deviations.
  • Coordinate with Quality, Production, and Engineering teams for defect resolution. Prepare and review final test reports for internal use or client delivery. Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations. Supervise witness and run tests with customers when required
  • Coordinate training programs for both new hires, existing employees and customers for on chiller testing, service/maintenance, diagnostics, and customer service.

Quality Control

  • Oversee quality inspections across the entire production process, including incoming materials, in-process checks, and finished products to ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.
  • Ensure proper quality documentation and records management, verifying that all QC documentation is completed and correctly archived both physically and digitally.
  • Manage non-conformities and quality issues, coordinating with internal departments, suppliers, and HQ to investigate root causes, resolve production issues, and handle customer claims efficiently.

Quality Assurance and Reporting

  • Oversee the implementation of quality control standards for both testing and QC checks.
  • Review test results reports, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.
  • Prepare regular reports on team performance, service trends, and customer feedback for senior management.

Skills and qualifications:

  • Proven experience supervising technical teams in a test or QA/QC environment.
  • Strong knowledge of chiller systems, their components, and testing procedures.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and industry-specific software.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, communication, and organizational skills.

Education Requirements:

  • Strong communication in English & Thai, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the HVAC or chiller manufacturing industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or HVAC Engineering (or equivalent)
