Description
In this role, the Test Engineer will be responsible will design, implement, and execute test plans to ensure the quality and performance of assigned products. This role requires a strong understanding of testing methodologies and tools, as well as excellent problem-solving skills. The Test Engineer works independently as well as collaboratively with various team members and managers as well as focused on delivering high-quality products.
Job Responsibilities
- Test design and development to include:
- Create, document, and execute test plans and test cases based on product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency.
Testing execution:
o Perform functional, regression, performance, and UAT and usability testing on software, hardware, and/or systems.
o Identify, document, and track defects and issues in a clear and concise manner ensuring clear traceability of test activities.
Collaboration:
o Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
o Provide feedback and suggestions for product improvement based on test results.
o Participate in SAFe PI Planning sessions and SCRUM ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Reporting:
o Prepare detailed test reports, including test results, defect analysis, and performance metrics.
o Monitor and report on the status of testing progress and quality trends.
Process Improvement:
o Continuously improve testing processes and tools to enhance productivity and product quality.
o Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and testing tools.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable privacy and security training requirements (both IntegrityM and external/client-based), whether on an annual or ad/hoc basis. Please note: certain position levels (leads, managers, directors or higher) may require additional “role-based” training to ensure compliance with applicable privacy and security requirements.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business users, stakeholders, and the technical team, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project requirements and objectives.
- Conduct requirements gathering sessions, track requirements throughout the project lifecycle, and perform thorough analysis to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Create detailed process models, diagrams, and related documents to support project development and implementation.
- Utilize digital platform tools such as Jira, Confluence, Camunda, Appian, Bizagi, ServiceNOW, Workday, Salesforce, AWS, and Azure to support business processes and project requirements.
- Communicate complex information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical professionals.
- Ensure that all projects comply with CMS policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, particularly those related to program integrity.

Requirements
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in software or system testing, including manual and automated testing.
- Ability to create and execute detailed test cases, test plans, and test scripts
- Proficiency in testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of programming languages like Python, Java, or C++ is a plus.
- Strong understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).
- Experience with SAFe, Agile, and/or Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and frameworks (e.g., Jenkins, Git).
- Knowledge of healthcare system requirements and compliance standards such as HIPAA.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of CMS policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, particularly those related to program integrity and fraud, waste and abuse.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to independently develop innovative solutions.

U.S. remote annual salary range: $55,000-$85,000/annual
For candidates in jurisdictions requiring range disclosure, this is the good-faith range for this role; final pay may vary by work location and job-related factors such as skills, experience, location, and internal equity. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
