About this Temporary Environmental Technician role at Goucher College
Job Description:
A highly customer service-oriented position that is supervised by the Associate Director and Supervisors of Environmental Services. The position is responsible for performing the cleaning tasks required for the upkeep and cleanliness of college buildings and will assist the supervisor in the assignment and direction of work as required.
10% A. Vacuum, spot clean upholstered furniture using vacuum cleaner and/or brush. Clean baseboards.
10 % B. Sweep and mop stairs, landings by hand or machine.
10 % C. Clean offices, classrooms, public areas and restrooms.
10 % D. Clean and dust furniture, bulletin cases, pictures, fixtures, door frames, and related furnishings.
10 % E. Clean, sanitize and disinfect restrooms. Replenish paper and soap supplies.
10 % F. Collect and carry out trash and recyclable material.
10 % G. Perform snow removal as assigned.
10 % H. Communicate to the supervisor about any maintenance problems in the assigned areas.
10 % I. Assist the supervisor with the inspection of work in the assigned buildings to ensure standards are being met.
10 % J. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
Required: Combination of training, experience and education directly related to custodial cleaning.
Preferred: High school diploma or equivalency.
Professional Experience:
Required: One year of custodial experience.
The starting salary for this position is $15.89.
