The Technician for Voyager Lunar Systems is responsible for development, manufacturing, and test of our portfolio of VTVL flight vehicles, engines, and other technologies.
The position reports to the Technician Lead and is part of the Manufacturing, Integration, and Test team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role is onsite based in Mojave, California.
In this role, the essential functions are:
- Fabrication and assembly for mechanical, fluid, and electrical systems
- Supporting mobile propulsion test stand development, maintenance, and repair
- Fabricating and assembling prototype components and assemblies, as well as the required tooling
- Perform testing operations on a variety of test equipment including high pressure and cryogenic systems
- Assisting facilities personnel in ensuring proper maintenance of facilities
- Maintaining organized, efficient, safe, and clean workshops
- Maintaining safety and quality standards

Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience with fuel systems, fittings, and fuel line manufacturing, assembly, and testing.
- Experience with wiring harness layout and manufacturing, including pinning and mil-spec circular connectors (e.g., MS-38999, Amphenol, etc.).
- Experience in a professional shop setting with a focus on tool management, cleanliness, FOD awareness, etc.
- Experience with high pressure fluid and gas systems, hydraulics, and cryogenics.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and proficiency in geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Ability to help develop new procedures and processes.
- Ability and willingness to learn new fabrication techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing needs and requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Manual machining with a mill and lathe
- Familiarity with welding Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Titanium
Travel, Physical, and/or Government Mandated Requirements:
- Ability to walk up and down stairs and ladders.
- Ability to lift, move or carry items or equipment up to 50 pounds
