We are looking for an experienced Technical Recruiter to join our People team. The Technical Recruiter owns full-cycle recruiting across technical functions, including Engineering, Data, Product, and AI/ML. . They source, engage, and close candidates while partnering closely with hiring managers throughout the process. This role requires a strong understanding of technical roles and the talent market, with the ability to advise hiring managers on candidate profiles, sourcing strategy, timelines, and compensation. The Technical Recruiter is proactive and hands-on, with a focus on finding and building relationships with great candidates, including those who may not be actively looking. They will also contribute to Talent Acquisition strategy, process improvements, and a positive candidate experience while building strong relationships with candidates, hiring teams, and senior leaders. This is a remote position based on Eastern Time. Talkspace Headquarters is located in NYC.
What You’ll Do
- Full Lifecycle Recruitment
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for technical and specialized roles, from intake through closing the finalist candidate and handing them off to the People Team for onboarding.
- Recruit across functions including Engineering, Data, Product, and other disciplines.
- Develop a strong understanding of each role, the business need behind it, and the capabilities required for someone to be successful.
- Develop and execute thoughtful sourcing strategies, with a strong focus on identifying and engaging passive talent.
- Build relationships with candidates throughout the process and ensure a thoughtful, responsive, and positive candidate experience.
- Serve as a strategic lead throughout the search, partnering with recruiting and People Team colleagues on administrative and coordination needs where appropriate.
- Talent Partnership
- Bring expertise in technical functions and the external talent market to help leaders calibrate role scope, leveling, candidate profiles, and hiring expectations.
- Provide perspective on talent availability, competitive hiring dynamics, compensation, and the feasibility of different hiring strategies.
- Challenge assumptions and make recommendations when a role, profile, level, or search strategy may need to change based on the market.
- Use your understanding of the talent market and organizational needs to help inform broader workforce planning and organizational design.
- Build trusted relationships with hiring leaders and serve as a thought partner throughout the hiring process.
- Strategic Sourcing
- Take a proactive, research-driven approach to identifying talent, particularly for difficult-to-fill and highly competitive roles.
- Map relevant talent markets, companies, teams, and candidate pools to identify where strong candidates are likely to be found.
- Develop creative approaches to engaging passive candidates and building relationships with talent before they are actively looking.
- Experiment with new sourcing channels, tools, outreach strategies, and approaches to improve candidate quality and engagement.
- Relationship Building
- Communicate directly with hiring leaders up to C-Suite as well as cross functional partners in other departments, including but not limited to People Operations, Legal, Marketing, Engineering, Sales, Product, etc.
- Serves as a strategic partner for executives.
- Bring a collaborative and solutions-oriented approach to working with hiring teams and candidates.
- Process Improvement
- Help create a recruiting environment that is thoughtful, high-performing, efficient, and scalable without losing the human element of recruiting.
- Provide recruiting insights and recommendations to Talent Acquisition and senior leadership.
- Use recruiting data and talent-market insights to improve candidate quality, sourcing effectiveness, hiring efficiency, and candidate experience.
- Identify opportunities to improve how we attract, assess, and close talent.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
About You
- 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, in-house or agency.
- Experience recruiting for technical roles, including Engineering, Data, Product, and AI/ML.
- Startup experience strongly preferred; comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Proven experience sourcing passive candidates and filling hard-to-fill technical roles.
- Experience partnering directly with hiring managers on intake, candidate profiles, sourcing strategy, timelines, and compensation.
- Track record of meeting individual recruiting goals and managing a healthy recruiting funnel.
- Experience using recruiting data and market feedback to adjust sourcing and hiring strategy.
- Comfortable managing multiple searches and stakeholders while owning the process from intake through close.
- Experience with recruiting tools and ATS platforms (Greenhouse a plus); able to quickly learn new systems.

Compensation
At Talkspace, we believe that pay transparency during the interview process is a critical part of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our salary bands are based on internal and external compensation benchmarks, which we regularly evaluate to ensure we pay competitively.
The base salary range for this role is between $80,000 - $100,000. Within the salary bands, leveling corresponds to each candidate’s relevant experience, skills as assessed during the interview process, education, and applicable certifications.
