Echodyne is seeking a Technical Project Coordinator to support hardware and software product development programs in a fast-paced environment developing high-performance commercial radar solutions.
ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Technical Project Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting cross-functional product development teams by coordinating schedules, managing Bill of Materials (BOM) configuration, facilitating procurement activities, tracking project deliverables, and ensuring effective communication across Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain. Working closely with Program Managers and technical teams, you will help ensure projects are executed efficiently and products transition smoothly from development through manufacturing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Program Managers with planning, scheduling, and execution of product development projects.
- Coordinate cross-functional meetings, prepare agendas, document meeting minutes, and track action items.
- Maintain project schedules, milestones, and deliverables using project management tools.
- Coordinate Bill of Materials (BOM) creation, maintenance, and change management throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to ensure BOM accuracy, part availability, and timely implementation of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
- Coordinate procurement activities for prototype and production materials by working closely with Supply Chain and Sourcing teams.
- Track long-lead components, procurement status, and material readiness to support development and production schedules.
- Assist in resolving material shortages, part substitutions, and supplier-related issues.
- Monitor project status and prepare reports, dashboards, and metrics for stakeholders.
- Coordinate documentation and support continuous improvement of project management processes.
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience coordinating projects, schedules, or business operations.
- Experience coordinating Bill of Materials (BOM) management and engineering change processes.
- Understanding of product configuration management principles.
- Experience collaborating with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
(Looking for one or more as a complement to the core skills)
- Experience supporting engineering or technical product development teams.
- Experience using project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, or Smartsheet.
- Experience using PLM systems such as Arena, Propel, Windchill, or Agile PLM.
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Familiarity with ECO/ECN processes and product release workflows.
- Experience coordinating prototype builds, New Product Introduction (NPI), and manufacturing readiness.
- Knowledge of electronic and mechanical component procurement processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 2–4 years of project coordination, project administration, or related experience.
- CAPM or equivalent certification is a plus.
