Gritter Francona is looking for a Technical Practitioner to support the full lifecycle of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system implementation across multiple hospitals, medical centers, and outpatient clinics. This role will serve as a key technical resource throughout discovery, planning, deployment, and transition activities, helping ensure each site is technically prepared to support the new EHR environment.

The Technical Practitioner will lead and coordinate technical discovery activities, analyze site requirements and gaps, support device procurement and logistics, and collaborate closely with client IT leadership, technology teams, engineering groups, and external vendors. This position requires strong organizational, analytical, communication, and project management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in complex healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute technical discovery activities across hospitals, medical centers, and clinics.
  • Assess End User Devices (EUDs), interfaced systems, Data Drops & Power Outlets (DDPO), network infrastructure, and other technical requirements at individual sites.
  • Conduct post-discovery analysis to identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and technical requirements necessary to support EHR implementation.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the client's standard capabilities, approved devices, interfaces, infrastructure, and technical requirements to support effective discovery and gap analysis.
  • Document findings, requirements, and recommendations in a clear and organized manner.
  • Support the development and maintenance of technical scope, site readiness requirements, project plans, and implementation documentation.
  • Track device procurement, inventory, delivery, deployment, and logistics activities.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with local site IT leaders and technology, networking, engineering, infrastructure, and other technical teams.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, client stakeholders, and external vendors to resolve technical issues and maintain implementation timelines.
  • Support technical readiness activities leading up to EHR deployment and transition.
  • Participate in cutover planning, readiness assessments, and go-live support as required.
  • Coordinate and/or manage engineering activities, ensuring technical dependencies and deliverables remain on schedule.
  • Identify technical risks and issues and work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop appropriate mitigation and resolution strategies.
  • Provide clear and timely status updates to project leadership and client stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, tracking tools, and technical deliverables.
  • Travel periodically to hospitals and clinics across various geographic locations to perform assessments and support implementation activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • Experience supporting technology implementations, infrastructure projects, or complex technical deployments.
  • Ability and willingness to travel periodically to hospitals, clinics, and other client locations.
