Your Role on Our Team:

The Staff Quality Assurance Engineer will provide technical QA leadership for Commercial Distribution and enterprise integration quality. In this role, you will help define how Milwaukee Tool validates EDI workflows, APIs, ERP-connected processes, automation frameworks, performance-critical systems, and CI/CD regression practices. You will partner with Architecture, Engineering, DevOps, Product, ERP, and business teams to reduce quality risks, improve testability, mentor QA engineers, and ensure critical business processes are reliable, scalable, and production ready.

You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead QA strategy for EDI, enterprise integrations, APIs, ERP workflows, web platforms, and Commercial Distribution initiatives.
  • Validate critical EDI transactions, including 850, 855, 856, 810, and other key business document types.
  • Partner with Architecture, Engineering, DevOps, Product, ERP, and business teams to review designs, API contracts, data mappings, and quality risks early in the SDLC.
  • Establish testing practices for EDI mapping, transformation, routing, exception handling, downstream processing, and system-to-system reconciliation.
  • Drive automation strategy across EDI, API, integration, ERP workflow, web, and regression testing using scalable, maintainable frameworks.
  • Guide performance, load, stress, and endurance testing for web, API, and integration workflows using tools such as JMeter or K6.
  • Track quality metrics, automation coverage, regression effectiveness, performance baselines, release readiness, and quality gates.
  • Mentor QA engineers on integration testing, automation design, data validation, defect analysis, performance testing, and risk-based testing.
  • Contribute to QA standards, reusable testing patterns, documentation, release confidence, and quality engineering maturity.
  • Communicate quality risks, technical recommendations, and release readiness insights to leadership and cross-functional teams.

The TOOLS you’ll bring with you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7+ years of QA engineering experience with strong technical depth in automation, integrations, APIs, EDI, ERP workflows, or enterprise platform testing.
  • Hands-on experience with EDI standards, transaction testing, mapping validation, business process validation, and system-to-system reconciliation.
  • Experience with Azure Integration Services, API platforms, middleware, distributed systems, Oracle ERP Cloud, Oracle EBS, or comparable ERP integrations.
  • Automation experience with Playwright, TypeScript, JavaScript, Postman/Newman, API automation tools, or similar frameworks.
  • Strong SQL skills for backend validation, transformation verification, reconciliation, and reporting support.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, test management tools, and automated regression execution.
  • Experience defining test strategies, quality standards, governance practices, quality metrics, and risk-based testing approaches.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, leadership, mentoring, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Other TOOLS we prefer you to have:

  • Experience with B2B/EDI platforms, Azure Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, or event-driven architecture.
  • Knowledge of supply chain, retail, manufacturing, Commercial Distribution, ERP, or order management processes.
  • Experience with performance and load testing for APIs, integrations, and enterprise workflows.
  • Experience building reusable automation patterns, quality dashboards, test data strategies, or integration regression suites.
  • Experience improving QA maturity, shift-left testing practices, technical standards, or release governance.

We provide these great perks and benefits:

  • Robust health, dental, and vision insurance plans
  • Generous 401(k) savings plan
  • Education assistance
  • On-site wellness, fitness center, food, and coffee service
