Job Description:

The Sr Business & Information Analyst is a skilled, independent problem-solver who partners with technology and business teams across Disney Experiences to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements for digital and data-driven solutions. In this role, you will help shape guest and consumer experiences across theme parks, resorts, cruise, vacation, travel, retail, and consumer products by ensuring that technology initiatives deliver meaningful business value.

Responsibilities:

As a Sr Business & Information Analyst, you will act as a proficient, effective resource for colleagues, working independently with minimal guidance to lead moderately complex analysis and portfolio activities that support Disney Experiences' technology and business strategies. Your work will focus on understanding business problems, defining requirements, supporting planning and funding processes, and enabling data-driven decisions that enhance guest and customer experiences, making this role critical to delivering innovative, customer-focused solutions.

  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand complex needs, identify the real issues or opportunities, and define technology and service requirements that maximize business value.
  • Capture, document, and manage requirements using workshops, document analysis, process modeling, and mapping techniques, ensuring traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop business cases and portfolio documentation that align benefits with strategic and tactical objectives, supporting feasibility assessments and funding decisions for new and existing initiatives.
  • Support annual and long-range planning activities, including operating and capital planning, by consolidating financial and portfolio data and preparing executive-facing summaries and reports.
  • Perform data analysis and visualization to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform decisions, using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and modern analytics platforms.
  • Recommend process and technology improvements that enhance operational efficiency, portfolio transparency, and program effectiveness, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on business processes and systems, assisting teams in resolving questions related to requirements, documentation, and delivery expectations.
  • Mentor and guide other analysts on best practices and standards in business analysis, helping to develop consistent methods and quality across the team.
  • Support change management and stakeholder engagement activities to ensure end users and support teams are prepared for new solutions and that benefits and impacts are clearly communicated.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis, data/portfolio analysis, strategy, or a closely related field.
  • Experience applying business analysis techniques, including information gathering, requirements documentation, process modeling, and process mapping.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of supporting planning, portfolio management, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis, reporting, and executive-ready presentations.
  • Understanding of the technical project lifecycle and delivery, including familiarity with software development methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with data visualization and big data concepts using tools such as Power BI or Tableau and relational data principles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and explain difficult or sensitive concepts clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in evolving, broadly defined roles and processes through self-reliance, resourcefulness, and independent work.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and support executive forums, leadership updates, and portfolio reporting.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exceptional storytelling and visualization skills, with the ability to transform complex analysis into clear, engaging presentations for executives.
  • Experience with scripting or automation tools such as SQL, Python, or Power Automate to support advanced analytics and workflow automation.
  • Background in disciplines such as Commercial Strategy, Business Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Portfolio Management, Decision Science, Consumer Insights, or Finance.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Technology, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
