About this Speech Language Pathologist role at PACS

PACS · Onsite · Norwood Towers Post Acute

As the leaves turn and the air gets crisp, our residents are looking for fresh starts! As our Staff Speech-Language Pathologist, you’ll help our residents reclaim their voice, master safe swallowing (so they can enjoy every bite of warm pumpkin pie!), and boost their cognitive-linguistic skills. You’ll be the warm cup of cider for our therapy team—guiding families, collaborating with docs, and keeping our facility staff inspired all season long.

What You’ll Do (Your Harvest of Duties) 🍁

  • Gather the Care Plan: Evaluate residents to pinpoint their speech, language, and swallowing needs, crafting custom therapy plans that bring back their seasonal smiles and independence.

  • Pumpkin Pie Safety Inspector: Recommend adaptive gear, teach aspiration prevention strategies, and ensure everyone can safely enjoy holiday meals and autumn treats.

  • Coach the Crew: Team up with Nursing to train Restorative Aides, run fun staff in-services, and guide our energetic Clinical Fellows (CFY) and SLP students.

  • Keep the Team in the Loop: Gather around the table with physicians, nurses, and families for care conferences, rehab huddles, and discharge planning.

  • Dot the i's & Cross the t's: Keep documentation fresh, accurate, and prompt in systems like Net Health and PointClickCare.

What You Bring to the Table 🎃

  • The Credentials: Bachelor's in Speech-Language Pathology plus an active state SLP license in great standing.

  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable navigating PointClickCare and Net Health as easily as a corn maze.

  • Autumn Energy: Top-notch communication skills, practical math for clinical needs, and sharp problem-solving skills to navigate any puzzle.

  • Heavy Lifting: Ready to stand, walk, reach, and lift (sometimes pumpkin-heavy loads over 50+ lbs!) using safe handling practices to keep residents moving safely.

Pay: $45.00 – $50.00 / hour

🍁 Apply today and help our residents find their voice, build confidence, and harvest their fullest potential this fall! 🍂
