At NN, NN Digital Hub in Prague is strengthening its architecture capability in close cooperation with our colleagues. 

We are looking for 2 Solution Architects for the Mediation Layer team aimed at APIs who want to play a visible role in shaping how systems connect and how modern digital solutions are built. In this role, you will help design secure, scalable, and production-ready solutions, influence important technical decisions, and guide teams towards the right architectural choices. 

You will work in an international environment with experienced experts in API platform and API governance, contributing to solutions that support multiple business units. Your responsibilities 

• ​Design solution architecture for API-related initiatives delivered together by NN Digital Hub in Prague and other colleagues. 

• ​Translate business and technical requirements into clear, scalable, and secure solution designs. 

• ​Guide delivery teams in selecting and applying the right APIs, integration patterns, and architecture building blocks. 

• ​Make sure solutions are aligned with architectural standards and meet expectations for quality, security, and maintainability. 

• ​Identify gaps in existing APIs or architecture capabilities and help define improvements where needed. 

• ​Create and maintain architecture documentation, interface definitions, and other artefacts needed for delivery alignment. 

• ​Support teams during implementation by helping resolve architectural questions, blockers, and technical risks. 

• ​Work with stakeholders across teams and domains to align dependencies and drive consistent solution design. 

• ​Help bring solutions to production readiness with strong focus on reliability, secure connectivity, and delivery quality. 

• ​Collaborate closely with international colleagues and contribute to a reusable architecture approach across business units. 

Your skills and experience 

• ​Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar field. 

• ​Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. 

• ​Solid experience in solution architecture, with strong exposure to APIs and system integration. 

• Experience with domain-driven design, REST APIs, event-driven architecture, or modern integration approaches. 

• ​Knowledge of API gateways, OAuth2, OIDC, mTLS, certificate-based trust, or identity and access management. 

• ​A strong technical foundation and the ability to connect business requirements with robust and practical solution designs. 

• ​Experience working in complex environments where multiple teams, systems, and dependencies need to be aligned. 

• ​Good understanding of solution design in distributed landscapes. 

• ​Knowledge of security concepts related to authentication, authorization, token-based access, trust models, and secure communication between systems. 

• ​The ability to judge whether a solution is fit for purpose from both a technical and delivery perspective. 

• ​Confidence in working across teams and stakeholders to create alignment, challenge unclear requirements, and bring structure where needed. 

• ​Experience creating and maintaining architecture artefacts such as solution designs, interface definitions, architecture diagrams, and technical decision records. 

• ​A practical, delivery-oriented mindset and willingness to stay close to implementation rather than operate only at a high level. 

• ​Strong ownership, collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively in an international setup. 

Nice to have 

• ​​​Exposure to architecture governance, reusable building blocks, or platform-based delivery models. 

• ​Experience in insurance, financial services, or another regulated environment.

How our hiring process works
