Summary

We are currently hiring for Software Engineers, ranging in skillset from 3-10 years. These engineers will assist with upgrade support, and deployments of software products. In this role, the candidate will drive the on-time delivery and engaged in a team focused environment for the purpose of executing requisition projects and software upgrades. Depending on skillset, the candidate may also assist, support the designing, developing, and testing of networked software applications for production software and be responsible for upgrade support and deployments of software products.

Job Responsibilities

Depending on skillset and experience, the candidate may:

  • Support front-end software design and UI/UX development, with strong proficiency in building user interfaces, reports, and data models for both commercial database and cloud systems. Develop automation tools to manage code development and enhance code quality. Lead the deployment and update processes from QA through to production server environments, both locally and in the cloud. Apply working knowledge of frameworks for developing high-performance SCADA, Drilling, Big Data Mining, and RM&D UI applications.
  • Demonstrate solid networking skills, including hardware configuration and support for running drivers/applications in both runtime and remote access scenarios. Facilitate loading, updating, and maintaining hardware configurations, while providing DevOps support for continuous maintenance and improvement.
  • Define, create, and implement APIs, interfaces, and tools to enable data consolidation and visualization, supporting asset management, process management, and documentation teams across the organization. Manage the migration and integration of legacy system data into modern commercial and cloud platforms, utilizing abstract and physical data modeling.
  • Participate actively in agile workflows for requirements gathering, software design, development, and testing. Collaborate cross-functionally to define requirements, facilitate lab testing programs, and ensure robust handover packages and technical documentation are prepared in line with engineering policies and procedures. Communicate promptly on all significant technical issues or developments.
  • Navigate PLM systems effectively to support project and product data management. Mentor team members in relevant technology and methodology areas, contributing to a culture of ongoing improvement and high performance.

Skills and Abilities: 

  • Working knowledge of the development / use of: Code – Java, C++, Java Script, HTML5, Python, Mobile Frameworks – iOS, React Native or similar, Database - MySQL, PostGres, NoSQL, Framework – Spring, Hibernate, Angular.JS, JBOss/Wildfly, Cloud Services – AWS/Azure, DevOps Tools – GiT, Maven, Build tools, Automated Testing Tools, Continuous Integration Tools, Agile tools.
  • Self-Driven with the ability to Technically support a Team
  • Ability to work in a team environment on short- and long-term projects
  • Oral and written communication skills with the ability to discuss the Architecture to key Stake Holders
  • Good presentation skills
  • Product knowledge of Oil and Gas Rigs Onshore and Offshore
  • Cyber security framework knowledge
  • Ability to recommend improvements / resolutions to improve customer satisfaction and product functionality
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems effectively 
  • Quick learner of new ideas and processes
  • Advanced English level.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/ Controls/ Computer Engineering from an accredited university.

Minimum of 3 - 10 years of applicable experience.
