Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Qualifications and Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
- Current Texas Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license, or eligible to obtain licensure by the anticipated start date
- One year of experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
- Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Support treatment plans addressing communication, articulation, language development, feeding, and swallowing needs
- Monitor patient progress and communicate updates with supervising SLPs and the care team
- Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans to support each child's goals
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to promote carryover and progress
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
