Location: Spruce Grove, Alberta

Hours: Monday through Thursday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm

The responsibility of the Shipper/Receiver is to ship, receive, inspect and record shipments of raw materials and/or Finished Goods. You will be responsible for overseeing the shipment of out bound freight and responsible for verifying inbound freight and inputting them in the system (IE. Receipts, System Transfer, etc.)


A Shipper/Receiver must have a great eye for detail and basic math skills. They must also have the required clerical skills to update records and follow up with suppliers and carriers.·       The goal is to ensure we receive the correct packages and stock them appropriately while creating Finished good shipments and ensuring the accuracy of the Shipments to our Customers.

Position Tasks:

  • Collaborate with Sales staff to arrange shipping schedules according to the immediate needs of the customer and their expected deliveries of Finished Goods.
  • Coordinate and process the receiving and shipping documentation including ASN’s, packing slips, BOL’s, Seals, QA documentation and Invoices.
  • Inspect contents to ensure materials or product are undamaged and to ensure the material is packaged according to order and Packing slips (quantity, quality, etc.).
  • Contacting supplier or purchasing if a mistake is identified.
  • Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control.
  • Respond to incoming customer Service request (internal or external) via phone and/or email.
  • Represent the company in a professional Manner.
  • Plan the distribution in collaboration with our shipping company of all outbound orders to ensure that they are complete according to the shipping schedule.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following established safety standards and procedures and complying with legislative regulations and requirements.
  • Create shipment documents (bills of lading) for outbound shipments, and provide to carriers.
  • Ships, receives, and records the movement of goods, materials, and inventory for a company.

 

 

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or logistics experience preferred
  • Operate a forklift, winch, or other machinery used for transporting or shipping materials.
  • Familiarity with shipping software and inventory systems
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

 

Working Conditions:

  • Working in a facility with loud noise, high temperatures, and environmental stressors
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to eye protection, safety footwear and high visibility vests
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and address hazards

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Physical activities include sitting, standing, walking, bending, climbing, crouching, reaching, and grasping as needed
  • Manual dexterity and specific vision abilities
  • Stamina required to stand during long shifts
  • Moderate physical activities – handling and moving materials, use of hands and arms, positioning and operating equipment

 

Working Hours:

  • Current hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00AM-4:30PM, however all shifts may vary dependent on business needs. Hours can be discussed with Leader.
  • This position may require extended daily hours or extensive overtime hours without notice.
  • If required, travel to other Cam Tran facilities outside of Ontario maybe required.
