The Shift Miller is a critical operational role in a grain or flour manufacturing facility, responsible for overseeing the entire milling process during their assigned shift to ensure the production of quality products that meet specific standards and customer specifications. This position involves a blend of technical expertise, quality control, maintenance, and, often, personnel supervision.WHAT YOU WOULD DO:
• Asset Management:
o Achievement of overall production parameters.
o Continuous availability of equipment.
o Reduced down time due to equipment breakdown.
o Reduced milling and engineering costs.
• Inventory Management:
o Finished product model stock levels maintained.
o Consumable model stock levels maintained at agreed levels.
o Vitamins and additives model stock levels maintained.
o Manufacturing losses eliminated.
• Financial Management:
•Continuous Improvement.
•Zero write offs.
•Targeted production efficiencies achieved
• Corporate Governance:
o Adherence to Company Policies and Procedures.
o Adds to the value of the company and is also beneficial to all stakeholders in the long term.
• Health and Safety / RISK / Environmental:
o Compliance with Statutory and Company requirements at all times.
o Achieving targeted scores in all audits

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE
Key Professional Competencies
Core knowledge – Academic – Qualified Wheat and or Maize miller (both preferred) – SAGMA/GMF Trade Tested, Knowledge of fumigation on grain insects and the management thereof
Leadership - Owning it! Driving long-term results, Staying a step-ahead.
Personal Effectiveness – Assertive and diplomatic
