Automation Service Engineer

About the Role

In this customer-facing role, you will collaborate with leading manufacturing organizations, providing technical expertise, troubleshooting support, system commissioning, and training services. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals who enjoy solving complex technical challenges, working with cutting-edge automation technologies, and traveling across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Service & Support
Perform maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and optimization of installed automation systems.
Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers.
Participate in on-call support activities when required.
Project Execution
Support project implementation activities including installation, commissioning, start-up, and system handover.
Ensure all project documentation is completed accurately and on time.
Collaborate with internal and customer teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Customer Engagement & Training
Conduct customer training programs on automation systems and best practices.
Build strong customer relationships by delivering exceptional service and technical expertise.
Act as a trusted advisor, helping customers improve system reliability and performance.
Business Support
Support service sales initiatives and identify opportunities for business growth.
Contribute towards achieving annual service and revenue targets.
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree in:
Mechatronics Engineering
Industrial Automation & IT
Process Control Engineering
Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering
Or a related discipline
Experience
5+ years of experience in Industrial Automation.
Strong hands-on experience with:
Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
Quality Control Systems (QCS)
Experience in the Pulp & Paper industry would be a strong advantage.
Technical Skills
DCS commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Industrial control systems and process automation.
System configuration, diagnostics, and performance optimization.
Understanding of manufacturing processes and plant operations.
